    This should be taught in intro philosophy classes instead of poisoning young minds with the essentialism ontology of Socrates et al.

    I loved Dr. Daniel Dennett, very sad to hear about his passing, I've would have loved to meet him, he was my absolute favorite, an intellectual giant, a legend, true sage, heard he was also very kind gentle person, huge loss to civilization, I will watch tons of his lectures in the next few days in his memory 59:00

    Beautiful stuff, but it's disappointing that he cucks out on race/gender - he's been more forthright in the past about social constructionism on those issues being twaddle. Perhaps he just wants to avoid controversy so he can do his stuff in peace; but people wanting to avoid controversy so that they can get on with doing their stuff unmolested by idiots is precisely why there's so much nonsense floating around about those issues in the academy and the broader world today.
