- The Minnesota Commercial has LONG been known for its ALCo fleet, but with those now all gone, old GEs now rule the rails. While most of their fleet wears a classy coat of red paint, new additions to the roster have made things quite colorful!
In the last year, they acquired a former TTI unit, which has a nice white, and blue paint scheme. About ten years ago, they picked up a former LMX B39-8E. While the paint is now over ten years old, it is still holding up well. When that locomotive goes by you'll see its missing a screen over its rear radiator. Lastly, we'll have a unit which wears paint well over 20 years old, MNNR 48. We'll follow this cool looping trio on the Belt Job as it runs up to New Brighton, puts on a show, and works its way back down the line.

That K5LA horn does sounded amazing.
Im glad to see some ex tti units getting a new chance at life.
I have never seen one of your videos before, but I might subscribe now. Great camera work and commentary!
I love the coughing sound of those old GE's. Great video Douglas! ;)
Great GE 4-stroke sounds.
Great shots man, what cool little railroad! I’ll have to check it out if I’m ever in the area!
Checker board frame rail reminds me of gbw. Excellent video😊
Thanks. Thoroughly enjoyed.
I like older GEs such as U boats, Dash 7s, and standard cab Dash 8s.
GE's at there best multiple units on a heavy train and on a grade they sound great 👍
76 has that MoPac blue color to it. Surprised it was a previous Seaboard locomotive.
Love seeing those old GEs, though too bad the Alcos are going.
I like 48 with those red number boards
Awesome 😎
Honestly I hope they just repaint her with the blue and white and just add the Minnesota Commercial logo on it.
Nice video. Any chance of a update where my old GBW Alcos are these days? thanx!!!
Going up to Minneapolis next month. What is the usual schedule/operating practices of the MC and what are some good places to catch the action?
58 is missing part of it's radiator grills. I feel like those should be looked at
Sad the Alco's are starting to fall.
