Both Korone and Okayu Get Super Embarrassed By Their Own Voices [Eng Sub/Hololive]

- Korone and Okayu react to their own voices while playing a claw machine/UFO catcher, and honestly, I think most of us can relate.
Also, sorry not sorry for the wall of text.

Korone's line is so cultured , like literally cultured

Korone has high wisdom but low intelligence.
@@RailgunCyclops Lol, true. On a more serious note, though, a lot of recent research has been showing that people of high intelligence are much more likely to make stupid mistakes and bad life choices more often than people of average intelligence. Try Googling something like "why smart people make more stupid mistakes."
Apparently, some of it has to do with preserving strong, complex rationalizations for erroneous ideas over simple truths, allowing childish and naive notions to be protected much longer than they normally would be. Being rewarded for intelligence can also, apparently, feed into an "error of being right," a tendency for intellectual success to make one more overconfident and less likely to have learned to properly doubt their own answers and logic. It's also associated with a difficulty trusting other people's logic, making it that much harder for anyone else to help them when they make a mistake.
@@JovialHeretic Me after making a lot of stupid mistakes and accidentally winning in chess: I AM AN EINSTEIN INCARNATE
@@riyank5238 True, a wild monke only gets to make one terrible mistake, usually.
Korone unrestrained laugh warms my tamashi

High pitch outburst collateral
And then your tamashi goes moeru

It's literally a high pitch doggo bark noise lol
The ultimate self-destruction spell: Joumon doki doki
縄文土器土器
Korone proven.
Pottery release: excitement!
reminds me of pekora cringe at pekomama...
Part of me wants to make a hololive RPG and let Korone learn a move called "Joumon doki doki" and it literally just causes her HP to go down to 0
This video is proof that art degrees are, in fact, extremely vital to society.
Especially when they create the h art later
He didn't study art. He studied an art class. You need to take one or two humanities classes for college, usually.
Kaigai niki: Why’s she saying Joumon dokidoki?
JP niki: Why’s she saying Joumon dokidoki!?
Korone: Why did I say Joumon dokidoki!?!?
Translator: hold my college degree
@@ShinkuDragon lmao
@@ShinkuDragon Perfect execution!
"MY TIME IS NOW"
I still don't know what it means. Excited pottery?
1:43 my man gave us a full on NatGeo explaination for a 2 second voice clip.
Kudos, good sir, thank you for the explanation!
I didn't go down an art or museum curator career path, so I had absolutely zero use for this knowledge... until this stream came along
@@JShayTranslations All your life choices led you directly to this moment. It was fate lol
@@JShayTranslations That is the most beautiful thing I've read and I could feel your happiness in your reply
@@JShayTranslations It's like, you were made for that time
@@JShayTranslations Is that going to be on the test, teacher?
damn Jshay straight up gave us a history lesson for a 1 second audio clip, props to you man
He studied Japanese history for college and survived, he's deserves taking any chance to flaunt it.
@@ES21007 true that, rather interesting if Im being completely honest. Wouldn't mind seeing more of it tbh
O fellow X-Potato, from where do I get the image that you have as your pfp?? I want that blessed image too🙏

I was wondering about the context of this in another clip, and got a history lesson for it. Major props to JShay!
Korone: Joumon Doki Doki~
Translator: "All this years of study just for this precise moment..."
I had a feeling Korone was embarrassed or cringing about her voice line, because I started hearing the seagull laugh every time it played, and also kept hearing "yada" and "yamete" 😂
Your feeling is spot on
As I said in another person's comment chain:
"Cringe is universal."
Okayu Voice Line: * Cute on brand Saying *
Korone Voice Line: **LEMME HIT YOU WITH A JOKE INVOLVING 10,000 YEARS OF HISTORY**
I don't know what it is, but there is something magical about Korone's laugh that makes me smile and I love it no matter how much I listen to it.
It's like a perfect mix of Cute Dog, Flute, Seagull and Monkey
yeah there's her eheheh~♡ idol laugh and then there's her true flute laugh when she's really having too much fun

2:58 man, look at Korone's reaction when her "Joumon Doki Doki" voiceline started. It's so precious
appreciate the background info on korone's line
Don't worry jshay, after 15 years watching anime split second pausing when TL notes appear on screen is second nature. And I enjoyed every work you put there 👍
Thank you! Ahahaha, runs in my blood as well. Old habits die hard
I dont think I'll ever get "Joumon doki doki~" out of my head.
3:09 Okayu's warcry from low voice to normal voice lol
I don't think I've ever heard her yell before, that was cool!
Sounds like a guy in pain lol
Korone: *visibly dying of embarrassment*
Okayu: *silently enjoying it*
That history explanation, appreciate it!
I guess it's all thanks to Korone's _Joumon Doki Doki_ xD
Okayu really likes to torture Korone with her own voice, Sadist Okayu huh...
and Okayu said that herself are masochist
Ironic
@@minera7595 It would seem that Okayu is a switch hitter.
This man went to college just to explain joumon doki doki what a legend
Thanks for the history lesson, it was actually interesting to read!
Ahaha, thanks! I never thought I'd see the day that people would be even mildly interested in some art history!
Tee tee with a side of Okayu teasing Korone with her own cringe. 🤣🙏🏾
Fun fact: Korone used that Joumon Doki Doki line because she knew JShay could use it to flex their limitless knowledge.
At first it's cute, but listening to the same exact lines for an hour can drive a man crazy.
sounds like a win win
3:00 My God, Korone's laugh when she's really cracking up is priceless!
okayu's line at 2:32 and korone's burst of laughter are the cutest thing
translator literally went "THIS IS MY MOMENT"
Top tier mate.
Guess it's "Joumon No good No good" killed me
It's been said but thank you for the detailed Joumondoki explanation! I've never heard of it before; it was really cool to learn!
I literally had to rewind and pause to read that history lesson, props to you for actually giving the historical context for a line I otherwise wouldn’t have thought twice about. Cheers mate 🍻
Thanks, I was wondering what Joumon Doki Doki meant. That TL note was intimidating but very interesting.
Korone: *says Joumon Doki Doki*
Translator: *I've been trained for this all my life*
In my culture, "Joumon Doki Doki" means "I am in great pain. Please help me."
3:01 korones exasperated laugh gets me through the day
I imagine people playing this intentionally fail to hear them over and over
trust me you wont have to fail intentionally to hear it over and over lol
Imagine playing a crane machine and you hear the words 'Ancient Japanese Pottery!' every time you go for a prize.
Thank you for the explanation of Joumondoki doki. Throughout this whole stream I was utterly baffled but laughing my ass off and now I still don't understand why it's funny but it sure is
thank you good sir for the translation, thoughtful explanation and some of your own experience
Ahaha, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Okayu sound like risu doing okayu impressions
Monogatari trained me for reading quick flashes of huge texts.
culture
Lol leave it to Korone to make such a random reference, and then leave it to JShay to be literally cultured enough that they're overqualified to explain such a reference.
This is why I love the TLs
Korone's laugh has unparalleled power to it that keeps going further and beyond everytime
"Hearing my own voice is so embarrassing~"
I know that feel
Korone: Joumon Doki Doki~
Smart and cultured translator: Time for my Japanese history essay!
Big brain doggo confirmed
Being a weeb help me learn a lot of trivial thing which most of them i dont really use irl but i still appriciate them, thank you
Props for writing a detailed explanation for the Korone voiceline :)
I had forgotten how much I love korones unrestrained laugh.
The explanation behind Joumon Doki Doki was legitimately interesting, thanks for sharing that with us
Props to u man. Identifying labeling and explaining how pottery was made from tiny shards...
Ty for the info on korones line, and big ups to you for that final you had to do, good job. Thanks for the video.
Korone's full on panic laugh simultaneously stops and starts my heart
I think it was both the combination of Okakoro and text wall explanations that initially led me to sub to your channel, and I'm really happy that I did because you've honestly become one of my favorite translators
Joumon doki doki
That's awesome about the Joumondoki poetry. After reading your post I ended up reading some more about it. Thanks for that fun fact and translation!
Pausing to read all that was incredibly fascinating, thanks dude 👍
Props to you for putting the meaning of Joumon dokidoki tho. Can't imagine taking a subject of broken vases. xD
Damn thats crazy that you had to do that for one of your finals. Appreciate the wall of text! Pafu pafu dondondon
Thank you for the knowledge about ,,Joumondoki". Very interesting, Also, mad props for passing that test you mentioned.
eh, congrats on your degree! that sounds like an amazing skill!
and much appreciation for the translations, thank you!
That Korone lines hands down. The cutest thing I heard.
Joumon doki doki is so funny, even on its own, Korone’s reaction to her own joke elevates it… but boy her reaction to Okayu’s riff of “Joumon dame dame” is the real winner here.
Dame da ne dame yo dame na no yo
Anta ga suki de sukisugite
Dore dake tsuyoi osake demo
Yugamanai omoide ga baka mitai
Love the tidbit! Bet you weren't expecting that to be a useful piece of info when you learnt it
1:44, thank you sooo much for that context, props to you
Also, cultured line, as expected of a tokyo university gradute, jsut to eco what everyone has said lol
I did pause to read the wall of text. Thank you for providing an explanation, although I still don't understand even after reading it lol
Bro this made me legit smiled. I haven't done that in 7 years.
The more you know.. Joumon Doki Doki~
Lol I had to pause and read that Portmanteu by Korone. Great job clipper san
that info on the pottery was surprisingly interesting. i looked up some images of it afterwards and they seem pretty elaborate.
that sounds like a really interesting final actually. kudos to you.
Classic 00's style fan translation note. I approve. Bless your soul
There is an interesting reason most people hate hearing recordings of themselves. When you are in the middle of speaking your own ears can pick up the minor vibrations of your mouth and bones. But a recording lacks these sounds, resulting in people assuming they sound wrong.
We are simple Koronesuki--we see a wall of text in an OkaKoro clip, we pause immediately and read the whole thing.
Imagine hearing your voice on a vending machine
judgement grows by 100
Thank you for the subs. Korone’s laugh was killin’ me towards the end.
Identifying shards of pottery sounds pretty hard, I'd just be like "yep it was a pot"
I hope you had fun identifing these pottery shards xD for real this sounds interestening
Know that I and many others appreciate your explanations JShay.
3:00 _"GYE-HA HA HAR!"_
That sounds so endearing 💖 And yet I can't get out of my head, Korone saying that with a facial expression that simply reads: _"The life expectancy of your yubis has now expired..."_
You really did your best with those tiny broken shards, otsukaresama!
dude the joumon dokidoki explanation was so interesting!
It’s amazing that you had to do that from just tiny broken shards. Respect to you and everyone else who passed
I appreciate the fact you also put some culture into the video. Nice job for passing your japanese art class
Really cool of ya to talk bout joumon era pottery. That was an interesting read bout joumondokis!
Thanks for the context clipper-san
Thank you translator san for working so hard o7
You win. That is the most detailed translator note I have ever seen that was not artificially lengthened for comedy.
Once again, Korone's level of culture is astounding: is she actually 91 years old?!
You actually had to answer THAT for an art degree? jesus christ....
Well regardless, thanks for putting in the information, much apppreciated JShay!
That art college final sounds solid dude!
Learned something new about Joumondoki and JShay, thanks for the explanation bro
That epic TL wall of text was nostalgic af
Not even Korone can withstand her own cuteness.
Respect for adding some of your knowledge to the video. I liked reading it and its quite interesting, never knew about it
And with this The Seagul Korone made her comeback.
This easily cleared my "learn something new today" quota, thanks fellow art history bro
Thanks for the lesson on pottery!
Just a random fact that everyone knows: We all hear our voice differently than how others hear us, thus it can be really cringe and weird to hear our voice recorded. Xd
I DID PAUSE TO READ AND sorry i got too excited
I did pause to read and that's such a cool field to study. If you ever want to talk more about it (or do talk about it anywhere) that would be interesting to see! Thank you always for the translations. This is such a cute clip
Wow thank you so much for the detailed explanation, and of course for the quality translations as always!
I hate hearing my own voice but you honestly get use to it pretty quickly. Like in a hour or two. If you then keep hearing it at least an hour a day you'll just get numb to it.
And PROPS TO YOU Jshay for your translations and for your insights at 1:44.
That kinda fact/trivia is interesting to a Nerd like me.
