NEW* City of Glendale - Peterbilt 520 Amrep ASL

Last Saturday, I decided to pass by the Glendale yard and to my surprise the first thing we saw was a new 520 Amrep. Huge change for the city, most of you know their fleet is primarily Autocar. According to the driver they’re only got/getting 2. For its 8th day in service it has a pretty low mileage of 449. I would like to see more Peterbilts from them but judging by the interior of them its pretty packed in, with the ACX it’s more than spacious and it’s designed for a driver’s comfort.

Very cool video. Saw this truck run in my neighborhood once; I do believe the arm was slowed down by mechanics as it was still lid flipping but a lot more gentle. Regardless, it is a very cool truck!

Not gonna lie that was a pretty cool find. Never would have expected them to add a few Pete’s to the fleet. What surprised me was how violent it was when we found it. It made for a good video nonetheless. I’m curious if the mechanics ever came to slow the arm down after we left since the diver requested it. Hope we can find the 2nd one soon. Awesome video dude!

Awesome video! I really like how vibrant the yellow looks on the tailgate and arm. It’s always cool when trucks you never know existed pop up and surprise you, lol. Nice video!

Last thing I expected from Glendale was to actually buy a Peterbilt. Not a bad truck, pretty violent right from the start and the speed it has is very well adjusted. Any idea what these replaced? Or are they just extra trucks for now to make some of the curbtenders spares? Been thinking of going back out to Glendale in the future and after seeing how fast some of their amreps are I may go look for one. Since last time I was there i was mostly focused on the curbtenders

I believed these replaced the old Rapid Rails. The Curbtenders have been slowly turned into spares (not retired yet.), but by my assumption most Curbtenders if not all will be either spare trucks or retired in the next few years or so.
