The formal change of government in Sweden took place today at a consulate at the Royal Palace with King Carl Gustaf as chairman. Also Crown Princess Victoria, the Speaker of the house and the new government attended at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.

@@ekewald6632 Technically the Pope is the only real functioning monarch with absolute power albeit ruling in very tiny country. Other are just like birds in a golden cage. Well, so be it if that's the only way they can survive in modernity.

A monarch doesnt have to have absolute power in order to be a monarch. For most of the past 2000 years monarchs have not been absolute rulers but shared power with the nobility, cities and church@@jboycaceres2871
