Sea Isle City, NJ. Today our family built a massive sandcastle and got to watch (in the rain!) as the tide showed the sandcastle its demise. Mother Nature at its best.
Great castle! I once made a castle close to the size of that, maybe half the volume. However it used slightly more advanced methods of survival and therefore could survive about as long as your castle. One method is one that you used: gargantuan size and a big moat. The problem with this method though is that when the moat is too close to the castle, the weight of the castle makes it collapse into the moat like seen in the video. A solution to this would be to make a flatter profile for the castle and have solid barriers near the top, and a moat far away. One last thing, to prevent the riptide from coming around and destroying the castle, you should put a big barrier on the back as well. Thanks for reading the whole comment!

You guys built a awesome sandcastle with a moat but unfortunately water is more powerful.
