They ranged from an eight-week-old boy to a 51-year-old grandmother. But age or gender was no protection when three generations of the same family were wiped out in one of the UK's most shocking crimes.
Amarjit and Nancy Chohan, their two sons, Ravinder, eight weeks, and Devinder, 18 months, and Mrs Chohan's mother, Charanjit Kaur, visiting their west London home from India, all died at the hands of ruthless men, who planned to take over Mr Chohan's haulage company, Ciba, and use it to smuggle drugs. They killed the Chohans and Mrs Kaur and then spun a web of lies to cover up their appalling brutality.
The bodies of Mr and Mrs Chohan and Mrs Kaur were recovered from the sea - in April, July and November 2003 respectively. Postmortem reports revealed that Mr Chohan had been drugged and possibly strangled and his wife's skull smashed with a hammer. Mrs Kaur's body was too badly decomposed to provide any conclusive information. The bodies of Ravinder and Devinder have never been found.
Kenneth Regan, William Horncy and Peter Rees, were convicted for their part in the murders. Watching this opens one's eyes to the fact that there are some individuals that should never walk among us. They are incapable of rehabilitation and their only goal in their lives is to take as much as they can at least cost to themselves with no care for those they trample over in their sickening quests. I went to see the trial at the Old Bailey. The defendants lied over and over but were no match for the prosecution QCs. I hope they are still rotting somewhere.

What I find most disturbing is the letter found in his sock. I don’t like to think what he was feeling and thinking at the time. I don’t know if he took the letter with the intention of showing it to the police himself or more heartbreakingly because he knew he was going to die and hope it would be used as evidence to solve his own murder. Regardless, Regan is a psychopath of the most dangerous violent and unfeeling level I think I’ve ever heard of. 5 people, 2 of which were infants, he murdered so he could live the life style he felt he deserved. That’s particularly narcissistic and evil….And frightening! Monsters like this make me question the use of the death penalty, this was already his second chance, when is it time to ask if it’s worth the risk of him being alive. People escape, wrongly get paroled, can con the system. As long as he’s alive, he’s a potential danger. 43:10

@@notimetodienttd1115 I’m not usually pro death penalty 1) the risk of executing an innocent person, unlikely but it has happened….and 2) I think being caged for life (for me) knowing I will never leave prison until death is far worse than a gentle lethal injection…..sedation, sleep then potassium chloride to stop the heart, in other words …dying in your sleep, what better way to die ( if there is a good way) but this guy is just beyond evil , at what point is someone too much of a risk? At what point do we say, enough is enough? He deserves to spend time experiencing at least some of the fear his victims felt! All I ask is they change the method from a lethal injection to something more appropriate…for example the guillotine comes to mind!

This is truly a sad sad tragic story. That happened some years ago. I am from Africa but live in London at the time this happened, I was living in a place called Southall which is very near to the suburb the chohans lived in. My colleague who from Zimbabwe was telling me that her first cousin actually lived a few doors from the chohans and she spoke about what a wonderful human being Mrs chohan was.
She spoke about how she found it odd that Mrs chohan would have left without saying goodbye to her because they were always speaking together as good neighbours. She cried so badly when she heard what had happened to her, the children, her husband and mother.
In these cases..

Better to raise an alarm..by neighbours..
Nothing is lost..But if they were still alive , probably could have been saved..
Don’t think twice to poke your nose..in these cases..

What I took from thus horrific tragedy is that the criminal Reagan would never have dared to do this to Mr chohan if he had his entire family working at the business in Heathrow. I see so many successful Indian businesses that have the whole family there. Secondly he knew that nancy was always at home alone just her, the children and her mother. He took advantage of that vulnerability. Also this Reagan did not think anybody would look for the chohan family. Had it not been for Mrs chohan's brother, this murder would have remained unsolved. Poor guy, he lost his only sister, his mother and nephews. They did not deserve this.

I recently started watching these Crime stories and I am out of words. How can humans behave like animals! It's as if, these criminals were born without souls. Deep inside me, I'm crying, cause it might even happen, to someone I love😢

They should always be checked on, I.e. the ones they released into society
These criminals have no moral core & are very ruthless and will not stop at anything to get money and power
We need to create places like Alcatraz, where they farm their own foods, veg & livestock, and bake their own bread
They will not be allowed to kill animals themselves it will be done in separate area and taken to main units. So they never gain anything they can use as a weapon.
Sadly the remaining family never gained the bodies of the babies.

This is one of the very few murder episodes that got imprinted on my brain...watching this at 12 am and the mysterious music to top it off didn't help either...Feel bad for the surviving brother; he is probably numb from inside or is in total grief both of which unfortunately will be there with him: one or the other as time goes...May God miraculously heal him...

You are 100% right. To close the case they should have verified with the airports if the family members holding those travel documents had left the UK and landed in India. A negative response would have forced them to get a warrant to search the home and continue their inquiry.
