Honestly probably the most underrated show ever. Don't think it really found an audience here in the UK but I watched the show from day 1 and absolutely loved it
Didn’t know it wasn’t that big in the UK, such a great show, very rarely they run the show that prioritizes the storytelling over the number of seasons to just make as much money as they possibly can, the shows that are like this one are very rare unfortunately. The acting was amazing from beginning to end. Ur right it didn’t receive as much praise as it clearly deserved, maybe it was the genre, because the people that did watch it, always ALWAYS loved it from beginning to end
There is a wonderful three seasons series inside this convoluted 5 seasons series. It took them fucking forever to get to the meat of the matter (Norman being fucking nuts). First three seasons moved at a snail's pace and they added such unimportant plots and characters to the story, no wonder it wasn't that hyped. You can skip seasons 2 and 3 without missing anything we don't get on all the other ones.
I’m usually the guy who isn’t into Netflix. I’m the one rolling my eyes in a group who obsesses over a series. But Bates Motel made me fall in love with the whole cast. I can’t see any of those actors now without being that ridiculous fan boy.
@@chandlerrose4545 within the narrative, by the end of it, Alex was lost. He was a powerless character with no sense of self. He was just another tragic powerless victim of Norman. I said this in another video, but the Bates ran this down. Norman and his mother were a whirlpool of death and destruction that sucked in anyone who got close, except for Emma and Dylan. Romero was somewhat irredeemable, which justified his death. But the entire point to this scene was that Norman lives, and he kills Alex. Norman had plot armor, because that's part of the story. Alex is simply another tragic character, who's shady cold life caught up to him. His attempt at experiencing love ended up killing him
He cared about killing Norman. He spent 5 years single-mindedly meditating his revenge. He had the time to process Norma's death. Or maybe you can read it as him realizing Norma wouldn't want him to kill her son when he saw her. Still, it felt contrived and out of character. Bad habit from Carlton Cuse.
@@sugardaddy4714 I think thing is while yes he had time to process the fact she was gone (it was 2 years they had sentenced him to 5 and denied his parole) he didn’t move past it. He had no family in a way. He’d long since lost his mother it probably didn’t help that she committed suicide and the whole town thought Norma did too. And he wasn’t close to his dad either. IMO it ate at him that he couldn’t protect her and that because he was gone he didn’t prevent her from being desecrated after her death hurt too, while he wanted revenge I think it was more of an issue of guilt driving him. And he was dying of a broken heart in a way.
@Joe T Yeah I felt pity for Norman until he killed far too many people. And he knew he was sick and did nothing to treat himself out of jealousy for Romero. He was very conscious of his disorder by the fourth season. He just chose to ignore it.
@@emmajade6903 and it made me even more mad that he wouldn't think for one second that he might forget that he was even around him. I know it had to be hard.
It wasn’t so surprising that Romero died the way he did here; he was shattered beyond repair by Norma’s death and basically had a murder-suicide wish (I firmly believe he would have killed himself after murdering Norman). He beat the shit out of Norman but seeing Norma’s corpse and facing the tragic reality overwhelmed him with total grief, as a result his guard was down. But I don’t think he was all to upset at not getting to kill Norman in the end because at that point he was just filled with anguish over the fact that Norman murdered his mother who loved him beyond belief and the woman who Romero loved beyond belief. Death was his release from all that pain, much like Norman’s was. But of course, this is ultimately Norman’s story and so naturally he needed to be given an emotionally cathartic death and being killed by Romero would’ve been a disservice to that. Unfortunately, Romero died alone but at least some of his last words were a pledge of his love for her. I’d like to think that he was reunited with Norma in an afterlife. Yes, I know people would argue that Norma “chose” Norman and is spending eternity with him but the fact is she loved both of them, and why should she be bound by the earthly pain of having to “choose” like she did when she was alive? If we’re all souls and infinite consciousness then there’s no reason why she shouldn’t be reunited with both of them free from mortal jealousy and possessiveness. Only the happiness and peace of being entwined with the son and husband she loved.
Totally agree. I feel that Norman in the films was somewhat sympathetic. Norman in the show (for the last 2 seasons as he descended further into madness) was immature and maddeningly annoying, which fits perfectly with the fact he’s a teen/early 20’s. It was pretty satisfying to me when Romero pistol whipped him in the car for being a smart ass, and then beat the shit out of him by Norma’s body. In the end, both he and Romero suffered cathartic deaths, releasing them from the anguish they had been suffering.
Everything you said seems to be based on the premise that all that earthly pain, jealous, possessiveness and whatnot doesn't seep into the "afterlife" along with the positive stuff of happiness and peace. Why wouldn't the pain carry along with him to whatever place Romero's ending up after death (which in all sense would most likely be Hell if you're talking afterlives considering the awful acts he's committed over the series)? Honestly can't see why 74 people like this nonsense. It makes no sense from any basis. Just a lot of flowery feel good wording.
This was such a good little series. Well written and the acting was flawless. The dude that plays Norman has got some great acting chops. Every character was well written and all had really good story arcs as the series evolved over the few seasons that it aired. It even had a great ending as well. It was a joy to watch.
Some here are saying that his death wasn't realistic, but playing back this scene I think I can understand it better. Romero wasn't thinking clearly to begin with. He was moved beyond the brink by Norma's death, and then to see her there as Norman talks about their relationship... That alone is heavy. And then, seeing her looking back up, all the while Romero knowing how sacrificial a love Norma had for her son... That really complicates things, and it's really hard to cut through that and simplify what you need to do in such a tragic situation.
I was so angry Alex didn't shoot Norman's brains out here. But let's face it, Alex loved Norma with all of his heart and he knew how much Norman meant to her. I don't think Alex would ever do that to Norma, her being alive or not.
She defininetly had a part on it by creating an unhealthy relationship with her son but you can't put full responsability on her, Norman was dangerous on his own, he hurt other people aside from her mother.
This tv series is a masterpiece, the main characters Vera and Freddy performances were just absolutely brilliant, not to forget other characters too...Max Thieriot, Alex Romero
The death is unrealistic for Romero sure but this was his weakest point because he’s looking at the woman he loved. Of course he was gonna pay more attention to her.
Definition of badass- Romero. He makes Norman look so silly in the car while the scene is trying to make Norman appear intimidating and creepy as “Mother”. Lol Romero just hands it straight.
When Romero was shot and killed in this tragic and heartbreaking scene, I know without a doubt he instantly transitioned to the afterlife and reunited with his true love of his life - Norma Louise Bates. Just as Norman did in the series finale. In the afterlife, where there's no hatred, resentment, or envy, I know Romero, Norma, and Norman were all able to be together, happily, for eternity ❤️
Nestor and Freddie had such a great friendship outside of filming that seeing them mad and acting this way towards each other is weird to see. I know that they are simply playing their characters, but they are both such great actors that it almost comes off as really the two of them upset with one another
I hated Norman so much in this scene until 6:09, then it once again dawned on me that Norman was nearly as much as a victim as the people he killed. He should have been somewhere where people could help him. He wasn’t the one killing people, it was his mother personality, which, when you have DID, is exactly like 2 different people. Side note: Freddie is an amazing actor ❤️❤️❤️
Alexis Jordan I loved this Norman! This was the Norman the show was building up to he was going to a murderer! They wouldn’t make a happy ending for the show it’s Bates Motel based off the Book and movie Psycho... he was going to a psychotic killer from the beginning
I feel like the real Alex died when Norma died. Alex was a complex but good person who had to make tough choices in the job and do what he thought was best to make the town function. He was a great three dimensional character who closed himself off to emotion and happiness until he fell in love with Norma. She made him feel alive, she brought out the best in him and her death brought out the worst in him. He became a wounded animal that couldn’t be bandaged up anymore because he had nothing to live for but bloodthirsty revenge. I knew he would die horribly and I feel so bad for him. Alex and Norma deserved to be happy together and they would have been if Norman weren’t so obsessed and selfish 😭
i just rewatched the series and noticed a small but important detail. his mother committed suicide and his father was to blame. Norma's was falsely ruled a suicide and Norman was to blame. so in Alex's eyes his dad and Norman took the 2 women he truly loved from him.
This was disappointing. Romero would never have went out like that. No way Norman could have pulled that off. Bad job by the weiters, imo. But, I was partial to Romero. He was a real Bad ass
Mary J....right. Glad somebody agrees with me though. I guess they really know what's best, story wise-That's why theyre the writers and I'm not lol That made me mad though! But, I understand why they wrote it the way they did..... I thought this final season started this week sometime. I googled it and even set my alarm on my phone for it. But, either it didn't come on, or I missed it. Do you have any idea? I didn't even watch anymore of these video clips because the 2 that I did watch almost ruined everything for me lol
I believe the reason he went down so easy was simply because Alex gave up. He lost everything when he lost Nomra, he loved her more than anuthing, and his original plan (ironically) was to give Norma a proper burial, and then kill himself at her grave so he could be with her, which is honestly so sad. I agree completely that Alex was an incredibly badass Character, and he deserved so much better.
I was MAD AS HELL that they wrote into the script that Alex would keep his back turned to Norman while wearing his gun on the backside of his belt. I was just waiting for Norman to come up behind him, and he DID. DAMMIT.
-Sam Bates was hit to the head by a blender : died. - Keith Summer was hit to the head by a door handle : passed out. - Alex Romero was hit to the head by a huge frickin rock: still tried to grab the gun to shoot Norman.
This show is incredible along with the cast. It pay homage to its source material while still remaining original. Kinda hate it ended at season five but really glad also that they was smart enough to end it on a high note .
What is it with everyone being obsessed with Norma to the point of losing their sanity? First, it was Norman. Than Norma's brother. Then that weird hunter dude. And then the sheriff. I would've popped a cap at Norman's knees and then gone back to my 5 minutes of brooding grief.
I was happy this happened so early in the finale. I appreciate what they tried to do with Romero and Norma, but he had to go. This story is about Norman and his mother, so everyone else had to go. I'm shocked Dylan and Emma survived; I assumed Norman would be the last one standing.
@@Jay-cy4jsYou are missing the point: nobody is claiming they were not a popular "ship" as you NPCs put it, but the main plot of the show is about how Norman relates to his mother.
I know some say they didn’t like how Alex died. They changed his ending a few times. Kerry Ehrin stated originally Romero’s end game was to have Norma reburied properly and then shoot himself on top of her grave. Nestor also stated originally he was going kill Norman and then it got change to he takes the fall for Dylan killing Norman because he knew he had nothing to live for. That for the longest time that was what was supposed to happen and then it got changed.
I was upset at first but satisfied that I was actually yelling at my screen “Turn around, Turn around” a movie or show hasn’t made me do that since a child. So I appreciate the authenticity of a classic horror flick! This show was masterful and I felt every emotion!!!
Yes!! I mean, come on, he’s former cop, would he really just left his gun behind his belt like that and turn his back to the dangerous psycho who’s wandering around killing people?? You don’t even have to be a cop to realize that this is absolutely stupid! Ugh
@@alinar5972 The only excuse I can find is that Romero wasn't thinking straight and finding Norma's corpse like that broke him. Had he been the normal, bad ass, intelligent Romero, Norman would have been screwed.
Its definitely hard to accept that the person you cared and loved from the moment theyre born are not well and sick in their head. I understood why Norma is still in denial all those years. You can not blame a mother who only wishes their child nothing but love and a good life. Not to mention, Norma is on her own ever since so she kinda have these walls around her.. not letting people know she needs help. Sad story bruh
To think freddie Highmore would act in Charlie and the chocolate factory as a kid and then grow up to act as a psycho teenager who murdered his mother, father. Etc.
This is so sad. S5 tries so hard to make Alex out to be the villain but he truly loved Norma, I wish they had more time together but the show ended at a good pace without going on for too long
Romero didn't handle this very well at all , Norman is obviously completely unhinged at this point this was never going to end well for either of them. Also love the music at the end there!
I think he wanted it at this point, if you watch closely, as Norman is waking up behind him he closes his eyes and tilts his head down…I think he was just hoping Norman was strong enough to brain him with one go.
Norma was a good mom for the most part like giving him food and shelter then again she wasn't she was to smothering & controlling making Norman stay locked Inside telling him not to go anywhere while she went out sleeping with guys and telling him he can't have sex with girls she turned him into a woman he thought he was Norma in reality he was Norman because she was controlling him so much it made him have a split personality witch he thought he was his own mother he thought Norma was doing the killings and trying to put it on him it's like they were so drawn together the only way to split them apart is for both of them to die together!
Always like mother and son Norma What the need of marriage at this point by Raising his own son so closely that he can’t believe to be away from her he can’t survive without her when she married Romero he thought he was betrayed and replaced by his new dad Norman can’t be blamed for all this Norma could have lived with his son by treating him in good hospital and taking care of him instead of give a chance to third person between them if Romero doesn’t have come between them this could have never happen everybody will be happy 😃 this is all Norma s fault but still can’t blame her for all this but it can be avoided if she had acted wisely by not marrying Alex Very Tragic story 😔 iwill be happpy if the creator produces another series on bates motel like Rebirth of Mother and son Norma and Norman With happy ending Please like if you people agree with me Thank you
Everyone here are just Bates Motel fans none are Psycho fans I’ve been wanting this murderer Norman since season 1 hoping maybe season 2 he’ll become the Norman I know and love!
If you've seen the acts he pulled in the series you would know he was a crooked cop, a murderer, and a felon who deserved every rotten deed he inflicted on others. Don't know why people keep glossing over all that. Norman, Romero, and Norma were all garbage people who committed awful deeds. If they haven't earned death, what does it take?
Too many souls tortured badly and got no chance what so ever to show and shine:(in this world ! it’s totally better then the movie the psycho and to be honest you can see through the The characters! Very good work!
The thing I first found scary in the first two seasons was the sexual deviousness behind every scene and story. Not surprised it all ended up with some weird mother and son sexual jealousy.
Romero was also a questionable character. I thought. Norman has an illness and has murdered people among his blackouts, especially his beloved mother Romero has also killed people time and time again. I found it a little strange from Romeo that he knows Norman is sick and instead of trying to help him somehow he was out for revenge. I mean, of course, he loved Norma and wanted to do the math, but I always asked Romero whether he was better than Norman himself? Because he said right before his death for what Norman did he should go to prison and what about him?
Romero went mad because his last encounter with Norma was acrimonious. Romero simply behaved in a way that kept an uneasy peace that kept mostly everyone alive. He only broke that peace when he went to bat for Norma. Romero isn't behaving rationally at all after he broke out of the clink - like Norman he just wanted to see her body again.
Am I the only one who thinks Alex Romero should get its own spin-off? I know he is dead but in an alterative universe where he and norma put Norman in Pineview foever but Romero still has enemies in town and drug buss.. Imagine if Alex Romero and Walter White together omg...
I seriously could not stand Romero, he was a hypocrite to the max. If anything he was much 'worse' than what he thought of Norman as. Norman had a seriously fucked up childhood and painful experiences which were the source of his amnesia episodes/breaks. Romero? Romero does everything he does in cold blooded conscience. Regardless of how people might want to spin it, he is just as much a killer as any murderer is. His rage is very similar in that he believes he's doing something 'right'. It's easy for him to convince himself that it's okay since he has a badge, but that would just show just how much more screwy it is. It also demonstrates that power is a dangerous and destructive thing in the right (or wrong?) hands.
Romero killed drug pushers, corrupt political figures, enslavement rings and other folk that were incredibly dangerous. Norman killed mostly innocent or indefensible people due to his mental illness. The difference is Romero is a saviour and Norman was a deranged, psychotic serial killer. Alex had morals, Norman had none but that wasn’t his fault

David.For3v3R. Weiters?
David.For3v3R. I agree !
The acting is so good
I love Romero
He didn’t deserve to die
But how the show ended was a good closing
Sometimes no happy endings are good
I’m sorry, but I hated Norman here! 😡😡😡
Sweet Tanner no I honestly hated him once his mom tried to get him help and he refused
@@nickixxxx6221 she got him help way too late
T_ man agreed!!
I hated him from the fucking start.
Sweet Tanner this is the Norman I’ve wanted since season 1 the original Robert Bloch Psycho Norman Bates
I was MAD AS HELL that they wrote into the script that Alex would keep his back turned to Norman while wearing his gun on the backside of his belt. I was just waiting for Norman to come up behind him, and he DID. DAMMIT.
4piglite I think that he only did that out of shock of seeing the woman he loved like that. He probably lost focus
Romero was actually a good person, he geniunely loved Norma and cared for her well-being
-Sam Bates was hit to the head by a blender : died.
- Keith Summer was hit to the head by a door handle : passed out.
- Alex Romero was hit to the head by a huge frickin rock: still tried to grab the gun to shoot Norman.
Ha Ha Alex Romero was still able to speak ; you killed your mother you cant hide from it; after being hit hard in the bead by a rock 🤣
The greatest final series season of all time
Oh what the love. When he cried and tried to take the body out, I cried as well.
0:46 damn Romero slapped the living shit out of him
to be fair norman took it like a champ, i would've been a crying mess. 😂
He slapped the "Mother" out of him.
I'm shocked Dylan and Emma survived; I assumed Norman would be the last one standing.
smartremark2012 the story is about all characters . Also normero was very popular . Millions shipped them hard . Don’t discredit them .
jenna H
There was never a chance it was obvious that he would die
@@Jay-cy4jsYou are missing the point: nobody is claiming they were not a popular "ship" as you NPCs put it, but the main plot of the show is about how Norman relates to his mother.
I love alex romeros character beacause hes such a nice hearted person but when theres something bad he gets so angry and cold hearted
I love how there’s no hesitation to shoot
I know some say they didn’t like how Alex died. They changed his ending a few times. Kerry Ehrin stated originally Romero’s end game was to have Norma reburied properly and then shoot himself on top of her grave. Nestor also stated originally he was going kill Norman and then it got change to he takes the fall for Dylan killing Norman because he knew he had nothing to live for. That for the longest time that was what was supposed to happen and then it got changed.
I love bates motel what a hell of a ride such great talent from all of them please do another one normans spirit lives on or whatever
was shocked as hell when i found out the guy who plays NOrman here is actually a British Actor..accent and all....dayum now that's acting BY GEORGE!!
Olivia Cooke (Emma) is also British. She does a really good American accent.
Now you know them brits have some good acting skills
@@sunshinejewel2952 sfooled the hell out of me i am telling ya...
Just finished the show yesterday and it broke me in tears 😢 💔 😭
I’m just wondering how he got away with so many murders
I was upset at first but satisfied that I was actually yelling at my screen “Turn around, Turn around” a movie or show hasn’t made me do that since a child. So I appreciate the authenticity of a classic horror flick! This show was masterful and I felt every emotion!!!
This show was awesome 👍! I wish some network would pick it up in reruns so we can watch it all over again.
I hated the way romero died it was so stupid
rav e I agree
I agree 😭
Yes!! I mean, come on, he’s former cop, would he really just left his gun behind his belt like that and turn his back to the dangerous psycho who’s wandering around killing people?? You don’t even have to be a cop to realize that this is absolutely stupid! Ugh
@@alinar5972
The only excuse I can find is that Romero wasn't thinking straight and finding Norma's corpse like that broke him. Had he been the normal, bad ass, intelligent Romero, Norman would have been screwed.
I mean the first time he showed up we all knew Norman would kill him we were all fully aware that he wouldn’t make it it was obvious
Sad story bruh
without a family unit, you get broken people quite often. A disillusioned and selfish mother and no father isn't a good mix.
Alex could’ve easily killed Norman he was just distracted
This is where one of Vera Farmiga's screams would be highly appropriate😂😂
😂😂😂
he really loved norma so much.. they deserved so much better
Nooooooooo he was hot
Krystal Thomas .I love Romeo he was the men.
Ugh, shut up
Like Squidward said about Squillium: “OH, NO HE’S HOT!” 😂😂😂
Nope, He isn't..
But Norman is Hot
Ugh he is
To think freddie Highmore would act in Charlie and the chocolate factory as a kid and then grow up to act as a psycho teenager who murdered his mother, father. Etc.
O ator que interpretou o "Norman" é com certeza um ator espetacular!
Seems Romero wanted to die. At least he made it to the last episode, but the last scenes focusing on Norman felt right.
i felt bad for Norman in this final season... What a series it was..Awesome
I like to think that little smile on Romero's face as he passed was his greeting to Norma in the hereafter.
Norma wouldn't have wanted Romero to kill norman anyway it was a mercy killing by dylan in the end... X x
I was introducing Bates Motel to my friend and in the end, she asked: "That's cool, but... Is somebody alive in that town?"
Am I the only one who was rooting for Norman the whole time?
Alex Romero was my Fav character
Alex was my fav character a bawled my eyes out. I hate Norman wtf.
This is so sad. S5 tries so hard to make Alex out to be the villain but he truly loved Norma, I wish they had more time together but the show ended at a good pace without going on for too long
Oh no! I have never expected Romero to die this way 😥
But we all knew he was gonna die
So many brilliant performances on this show... Vera was stunning and Freddie I really think he is a true psycho lol.
I absolutely loved Romero's character, but don't mess with Norman! I mean, I know Alex had his back to him, he was an easy target.
Best scene cut on i player, takes mummy back to hotel in back of car, opens door dear mum falls out, so funny.
2:59 That was such a Shaun Murphy look... You know... without all the blood and psycho eyes.
Yes, it was not the look of the killer of the year, but of a surgeon with autism.
I love Romero 💟
*its so sad!*
🥺😭🤧
Norma was a good mom for the most part like giving him food and shelter then again she wasn't she was to smothering & controlling making Norman stay locked Inside telling him not to go anywhere while she went out sleeping with guys and telling him he can't have sex with girls she turned him into a woman he thought he was Norma in reality he was Norman because she was controlling him so much it made him have a split personality witch he thought he was his own mother he thought Norma was doing the killings and trying to put it on him it's like they were so drawn together the only way to split them apart is for both of them to die together!
TheOne 151 yea she’s a good mom but to me she’s to much like really? He can’t go out with girls jeez lol
Romero 😭❤
Always like mother and son Norma What the need of marriage at this point by
Raising his own son so closely that he can’t believe to be away from her he can’t survive without her when she married Romero he thought he was betrayed and replaced by his new dad Norman can’t be blamed for all this Norma could have lived with his son by treating him in good hospital and taking care of him instead of give a chance to third person between them if Romero doesn’t have come between them this could have never happen everybody will be happy 😃 this is all Norma s fault but still can’t blame her for all this but it can be avoided if she had acted wisely by not marrying Alex Very Tragic story 😔 iwill be happpy if the creator produces another series on bates motel like Rebirth of Mother and son Norma and Norman With happy ending Please like if you people agree with me Thank you
Man, Romero loved Norma so so much. I’m just glad they’re together now.
Everyone here are just Bates Motel fans none are Psycho fans I’ve been wanting this murderer Norman since season 1 hoping maybe season 2 he’ll become the Norman I know and love!
I can’t even look at Norma that long
Too scary
I’m scared of dead body
FML I'm watching spoilers
Christine Jolene I'm on season 5 episode 3 I shouldn't be watching this😞
Ana Diaz I finished watching all of it. It gets good lol hope you enjoy
Christine Jolene Same tho..
Christine Jolene same girl... same🙃😂
do you rewatch it.
Norman is seriously messed up. Romero never deserved to die.
He had it coming though.he really did have it coming.
He wasn't really " Nice " as y'all think he was ...
Norman was my favourite, idk why
Too many souls tortured badly and got no chance what so ever to show and shine:(in this world !
it’s totally better then the movie the psycho and to be honest you can see through the The characters!
Very good work!
ROMERO DESERVES JUSTICE!
I loved Alex more than anything. 😭
Shooting someone because they psychologically broke and dug their mother up because their psyche told them she was alive seems a bit extreme...
3:54 the amount of blood here scares me
This scene's so goood I luv it
Really stupid of Romero to turn his back on Norman like that.
My sonn will forever live in my heart❗I love you Alex😘
The thing I first found scary in the first two seasons was the sexual deviousness behind every scene and story. Not surprised it all ended up with some weird mother and son sexual jealousy.
Does anyone else think Romero looks just like Anthony Perkins, the original Norman Bates
Taylor Pack Yes. Especially the eyes
Holy crap dude you just blew my mind
He was also in the dark knight trilogy.
He's dark like him, but Nestor is better looking
Ehh I still like Dr Shaun Murphy 😅
I agree with you😂
Those gunshot sounds, A+
Oh yeah ? Without recoil 😂😂😂
😖😢😭 this was so messed up I'm glad Dylan was ok but you know he needed some counseling that's too messed up and sad 😖😵
Damn that punch was quick 😂
And it looked like it hurt so bad lol
This death is quite unrealistic... fail by the wirtters... but whatever, it was a great show overall xD
Almost everything in this show was unrealistic
No
Damn I haven't seen season 5 yet bloody spoilers, shame shows over what ever next
You could’ve stayed away from the video
Yeah I dont get why people like him. Also he shouldn't have played the jealousy game with Norman, Alex could have been the bigger person there
Romero killed drug pushers, corrupt political figures, enslavement rings and other folk that were incredibly dangerous. Norman killed mostly innocent or indefensible people due to his mental illness. The difference is Romero is a saviour and Norman was a deranged, psychotic serial killer. Alex had morals, Norman had none but that wasn’t his fault
