As an American, I'm used to being surrounded by this unsatiating, calorie dense garbage so when I spent time in England I was mind blown how hard it was to get my calories in. Even eating the exact same foods (meats, oatmeal/porridge, pastas) I had to eat waaay more to even hit maintenance calories. There's a huge difference in the food available to America and Europe

I used to be fat (not crazy fat but still) and was considered obese by the bmi standards, and now, even tho I lost a lot of fat I'm still considered obese even tho I'm way more muscular and healthy

Weirdly enough for me it isn't. I live in Germany but I'm American and the last time I was there I found it a lot harder to hit my daily calorie goals. A lot of the food is calorie dense but also extremely filling.
I had no idea what kind of junk I was eating my whole life. I got terribly fat and worst thing is I wasn't noticing it until I went to doctor for a checkup and my results were terrible. That's when I decided to start living healthy. Bad thing is I am lazy and hate to research about food and I just couldn't count calories all the time so I decided to invest in meal plan from Next Level Diet. Best thing I got myself in this life. I lost so much fat and got so much more energy when I started eating healthy.

If you ask me, it should not be about you being skinny or not skinny, but about your health, you feel way better, more energetic and mire motivated if you eat healthy. Working out is great as well and helps achieve exactly those things as well, if you do it right!! :)

@@sabina6579 In America certain fast food chains are more expensive and have better quality such as Chic-fil-A or Five Guys, while the cheaper fast food places with less quality like McDonald's or Burger King are considered a "poor mans" or "struggling college students" meal because it's cheap to buy but not very filling.
This is why it blows me away when I meet people who have _trouble_ putting on weight here in the states. Like, it's easy to get fat with all these choices lol.

We don’t have a ton of variety in Canada the popular ones would be McDonald’s, Tim Hortons, A&W, Subway, Dairy Queen, KFC, Burger King, Wendys are the common ones along with pizza places but the biggest pizza place in my province is exclusive to my province. We also get stuff like Popeyes, Taco Bell (my personal favourite), Carls JR and Arby’s in smaller numbers. Only ones that I know of that are Canadian would be Tim Hortons, Harvey’s (one of my new favourites, Mr Sub, A&W (it was originally affiliated with American A&W but are separate companies now), New York Fries, Mary Browns chicken and a bunch of the pizza chains are only in Canada I believe

A burger over here is meat in a bun so fried chicken in a bun is a chicken burger and fried beef in a bun is a hamburger. A sandwich over here is basically anything between sliced bread.

I lost nearly 15 lbs eating mostly cheesburgers and a few chicken sandwiches. I was just eating less of everything else. I even snacked on my favorite chocolates in moderation. Just don't eat junk food and don't over-eat. Too many calories in and/or not enough exercise equals fat gain.

I lost nearly 15 lbs eating mostly cheesburgers and a few chicken sandwiches. I was just eating less of everything else. I even snacked on my favorite chocolates in moderation. Just don't eat junk food and don't over-eat. Too many calories in and/or not enough exercise equals fat gain.
