Just Revisited this dram after a few years (new bottle). Most def a phenom. Its a perfect representation of a lower proofer Heaven Hill. Really enjoyed watching ur "classic" vid/take as i recalled this experience. Thnx for the content. Cheers 🥃
This is the only bourbon that is always on my shelf! I love trying a new whiskey every time I empty a bottle, but Elijah Craig small batch is the one bottle I will always keep on my whiskey shelf. Love it!
Was drinking my first glass of Elijah Craig while watching this video. Watch 3-4 other videos of Elijah Craig this past month and each person liked it so much that this ended up being my Christmas present to myself this year.
I've tried Elijah Craig Small Batch once at a friend's Derby party, and it was some time ago. Now, I'm ready to get my own bottle. Also, it was fun how you integrated the history and evolution of the bottles as well as the actual bourbon into this episode. Thanks!
Wonderful little bourbon -- especially for the price. Lots of creaminess, baked fruits, barrel spice, unique and pleasant front, middle and back mouth feel. It goes on sale here for near-$20, which is a steal.
Purchased a store pick 10 year old Elijah Craig Small Batch and it is insanely good. So much so I bunkered 3 additional bottles. Love me some Elijah Craig Barrell proof as well. Sipping on B518 currently.
I just had this last night. I bought a bottle for a party, having heard good things, and I ended up drinking about half of it myself :D It is probably my favorite bourbon under 30 dollars! SO DELICIOUS!!!!!
Good to see more of the very enjoyable under $30 bourbons getting more exposure and reviews. Some of the store picks are great!! You don't need to spend over $50 to find great sipping whiskey. Cheers!! When's the next Under $30 Blind Flight Fight??
When I first picked this bourbon up on a whim, I was shocked at how good it was. It goes for about 21 dollars where I live, and I just got my second bottle now a while later and am remembering how fantastic a bourbon it is.
Coincidentally I JUST picked up my first bottle of this 2 days ago (the small batch, not the 12), and then you post this video. I don't have an expert nose or tongue. I just know what I like and what I don't. I do like this very much. I was very pleased sipping this neat.
Picked up a bottle because Henry McKenna is hard to find ( thanks SFWSC!!). Heaven Hill does not disappoint. Elijah Craig small batch is slightly fruitier with less barrel notes. Definitely an everyday Bourbon.
One of my favorite kind of wacky notes that I’ve read for Elijah Craig Small Batch is raisin bran flakes. It’s the weirdest thing, but once you notice it, it kind of sticks with you. Delicious stuff!
My first impression was spicy maple syrup, with a pins and needles burn on the tongue. Clean finish. I guess I need to try again. I didn't get any fruit flavors.
This is always stocked on our bar. I have had a lot fun finding the store picks. They are hands down even better than just a retail bottle. The store picks are insane!
Another awesome review, at the Liquor Barn in Springhurst they have the Elijah Small batch Select in 9,10,11, and 12 yr age statement on a special label at a lil over $29.00.....I picked 2 at 12 yr...can’t wait to sample
#ROTB. I haven't been back to the 94 since the 12 year age statement went away. I've been tracking down various ECBP releases though. I'll have to get a bottle soon. Thanks for the review!
It was my go-to, but a recent bottle purchased didn't seem as good. But I recently finished a bottle of the barrel-proof, so maybe that "colored" my tastes?
You know, it's 1am on a Thursday morning, here I am watching this, and then u say "a casual sipper for a wendnesday night... Cuz u have to work tomorrow" (today) Almost spit my 'Craig Small Batch out my mouth!! It's a weeknight, bro
I Bought a bottle of this Bourbon for my Birthday coming up on May 6th. Any suggestions on a fine Cigar to pair it with my three choices are Padron 1964 anniversary Maduro and Padron 1926 Maduro and Don Pepin Garcia 15th anniversary. Which will pair the best? This will be my first time having Elijah Craig small batch i am looking forward to this
I love the barrel proof; however, for me this is basically a $25 whiskey, and the BP is $60. The BP is good, and is different, but not more than double different.
I’m new to this bourbon journey and the notes everyone seems to find, i’m not getting. Moreover, the taste is stout on the three I’ve tried thus far. Nevertheless, out or the three i’ve tried ( MM, EC small batch, four roses), the four roses has been the best thus far.
I lamented the loss of the “12” because I’m a proponent of age-statements, but... secretly, the bourbons I’ve enjoyed most have all been between 6 and 10 years old. I’m not sure how to feel about this.
T. Eugene G. I’m the same, I don’t like a lot of oak or barrel taste, so I stay in the 6-10 year range myself. Of course there are exceptions but typically a rule of thumb for me. My wallet thanks me too lol
Okay, so I have a non-bourbon related comment/question. Sara, what is the story behind your facial expressions right after the Uncorking title goes away? Bemused by something? Irritated with Chad? Or, maybe, stifling a laugh? :)
I used to drink Bourbon 99% of the time. Elijah Craig was one of my favorites. THEN, I went back to Scotch. It is very hard for me to go back to Bourbon, but I have decided to try once again soon.
This is my everyday go to. This is what made me really get into bourbon when I first started getting into whiskey altogether.
Just Revisited this dram after a few years (new bottle). Most def a phenom. Its a perfect representation of a lower proofer Heaven Hill. Really enjoyed watching ur "classic" vid/take as i recalled this experience. Thnx for the content. Cheers 🥃
A very underrated bourbon 🥃cheers!
Steve definitely, I don't typically like bourbon. but this is a nice one. fabulous for the price.
Elijah Craig was my stepping stone bourbon, up from Maker's and JD. Still love it, especially a good 10-12 year store pick. :)
I've tried Elijah Craig Small Batch once at a friend's Derby party, and it was some time ago. Now, I'm ready to get my own bottle. Also, it was fun how you integrated the history and evolution of the bottles as well as the actual bourbon into this episode. Thanks!
Started drinking bourbon with Makers but really enjoyed Elijah Craig. Nice every day sipper.
Wonderful little bourbon -- especially for the price. Lots of creaminess, baked fruits, barrel spice, unique and pleasant front, middle and back mouth feel. It goes on sale here for near-$20, which is a steal.

So far this is the best budget bourbon Ive had.
For the price I haven't tried better.
Thank you! E.C. Small Batch is my go to! Love it!
One of my favorite sippers and one that always has a place on my shelf. Thanks for reviewing it, kids.
I just had this last night. I bought a bottle for a party, having heard good things, and I ended up drinking about half of it myself :D It is probably my favorite bourbon under 30 dollars! SO DELICIOUS!!!!!

E.C costs $80-90 in S.Korea now which looks too much for everyday bourbon.. can't deny it is one of greastest bourbons though
Love Elijah Craig!
I love my woodford doible oak and evan Williams bottle in bond and recently been venturing out and i really want to try this bottle.
This has become my go-to "daily" over the last few months, edging out WT 101 and OGD Bonded. And I get it at my local Class Six for $23 out the door.
When I first picked this bourbon up on a whim, I was shocked at how good it was. It goes for about 21 dollars where I live, and I just got my second bottle now a while later and am remembering how fantastic a bourbon it is.
Love you both very great team informative thank you both

You two rock!

I noticed the mint immediately. Reminded me of green apple jolly ranchers with a eucalyptus background. Fantastic bourbon. 👍
Just uncorked a bottle of this last night. 👍 $28 at Binnys in the Chicago area. Plus an exorbitant amount of sales tax. 🥃
I had their store pick around Chrismas...I killed the bottle...so tasty.
Skipped on ECSB and went for ECBP at Binnys yesterday. That’s sooo good, maybe I’ll get the Small Batch too since I never had it.
This was my first bourbon. Recently came back to it after having a pour with a friend. Forgot how much I enjoyed it 👍🏻
Just having some tonight...in an IBN glencairn, no less...and loving it!
Nice choices all around! Cheers to ya.
@@ItsBourbonNight Cheers back! Honestly, thanks for all the work y'all do--and too much fun!
Y'all are really great to watch as I wind down from 2nd shift I've tried 7-8 bourbons yall have given great reviews on
Another awesome review, at the Liquor Barn in Springhurst they have the Elijah Small batch Select in 9,10,11, and 12 yr age statement on a special label at a lil over $29.00.....I picked 2 at 12 yr...can’t wait to sample
Just picked up my first bottle of the small batch last week and I enjoyed it so far. Going to have to revisit it again. Great video!
For $26 on sale in VA now - it is a great value and great tasting Bourbon!
Just picked this up for $23 at Target and WOW! This is good! Really! I’m comparing it to my Four Roses single and this is by far better to me.
Its a steal for 23 bucks!!!
Me too! Just bought it at Target today. Can't wait to try it after dinner, and the kiddos are asleep.
Oz A You will enjoy! One of the best I’ve had to date.
Great review thanks
ECSM is great juice. Going to uncork a bottle tonight.
My go to, accept in Australia it’s AU$73.90 (US$50) on sale, well worth every cent!
Just bought my first bottle for a Thanks Giving. Not under 30 in NJ!
Should you find yourself near Claymont Delaware, there is a Total Wine store just off I-95. I think it was $29.98, with no sales tax.
Great Bourbon! Love Heaven Hill products! Cheer's
Great Review, Keep up the great work 👍🏻🥃
Love Elijah Craig! Super creamy and definitely a weeknight sipper
Just picked up a bottle this evening. It was $31 here in Missouri.
This tastes ok at 5:30 AM on a Monday....after work, that is. Cheers!
For the price I completely agree , a very GR8 pour per dollar !!
This is my favorite and go to Bourbon. Been drinking this for a while and I don't taste any of those flavor hints. Lol. I taste good Bourbon! :)
My go-to. Really enjoy this bottle. Good review.
My favorite bourbon.
ECSB Store Picks are must buys
Thanks for stopping by, but mainly, stay classy...
An excellent value for sure! Excellent video as always!!!
Just popped one, spicier than what I'm used to went well with rocks. That pop sound is legit when uncorked
Keep a bottle of barrel strength in my cabinet, I treat it as I treat my medicine cabinet :)
I do miss that old 12 year bottle.
I am bigger fan of Booker's but Elijah Craig is a good one especially the 12year Barrel proof.
a very nice bourbon I enjoy it
My fav on the store shelves Bourbon!
I wish this Bourbon was "maybe $30" in my area. It's $50 in Ontario :( Still worth it though. I love this Bourbon.
It's 23.99$ here.
Ouch its normally a little over $20 in most places in the US.
Low $30s in PA. Still worth it.
Currency exchange rate, plus everything imported costs more, even if it's only a few hundred miles.
Hey Chad, your choice between EJC small batch or 4Roses small batch?😊
You know, it's 1am on a Thursday morning, here I am watching this, and then u say "a casual sipper for a wendnesday night... Cuz u have to work tomorrow" (today) Almost spit my 'Craig Small Batch out my mouth!! It's a weeknight, bro
Love the Barrel Proof! Small Batch still very good though.
Great bourbon for a great price. Cheers!

You guys have it down. Great vid!💪🏻💪🏻
do love some Elijah Craig, I wish it was that cheap in Aus tho. With our 'spirit tax' this bottle works out to be almost $55US. Tasty stuff tho.
I get tons of brown sugar on this one. great pour .
Great Chanel, I was wondering if u guys had any tips/products recommended for splitting a bottle with a buddy?
My favorite!!
Love you guys
I love the barrel proof; however, for me this is basically a $25 whiskey, and the BP is $60.
The BP is good, and is different, but not more than double different.
Burnish copper means using new, shiny copper tubbing, I think
I want to try it. Spartanburg South Carolina
Keeping my eyes peeled for a bottle of the barrel proof, they disappear quick.👍
Dried mangos pair perfectly with this bourbon. $19.99 in my area.
Where?
Costco
I like bourbon with a cider chaser. I expect it might not work with bourbons that lean heavily to the spicy side, but I don't like those.
Got this for 22.99 at my local Costco in Indianapolis, IN
Great vid guys. Where are you located that this is $27.99? In Miami goes for $40.
45 usd here in Denmark. Ok, considering it has to travel across the pond.
Sweet
just picked up a bottle of the barrel proof last night my bottle comes in at 135 proof. Can't wait to open it up, but am saving it for a bit.
I’m new to this bourbon journey and the notes everyone seems to find, i’m not getting. Moreover, the taste is stout on the three I’ve tried thus far. Nevertheless, out or the three i’ve tried ( MM, EC small batch, four roses), the four roses has been the best thus far.
Just uncorked B517
Dope music
Just bought 2 bottles on clearance for $20 apiece
Ryan Parker lucky
It's cool that everyone gets a little tipsy before the vid
Weller Special Reserve is a great weekday bourbon.
Do y'all have glencairns for sale? I would like one or two.
Can you tell me, if you got friends over for the evening, do just drink bourbon straight, all night ? Cheers mitch (uk)
27.99 at Kroger now with manufactures coupon.
Bought mine in the Bahamas $47
Is there a significant difference between this and the discontinued 12 year version?
Yes. I actually like the new version better. I think the 12 was too oaky. This is just my taste thought. I'm sure someone will disagree.
The Heaven Hill lineup, for me, is just spanking it’s way into the top. Cheers to the spanking! 🥃
I thought this was a buns of steel workout video
My favorite juice
Is it available in india
I lamented the loss of the “12” because I’m a proponent of age-statements, but... secretly, the bourbons I’ve enjoyed most have all been between 6 and 10 years old. I’m not sure how to feel about this.

I still have an opened older bottle that still has 12 YO on it! :-)
Tried this for the first time tonight. Its like a peach milkshake. Delicious
I used to drink Bourbon 99% of the time. Elijah Craig was one of my favorites. THEN, I went back to Scotch. It is very hard for me to go back to Bourbon, but I have decided to try once again soon.
