- Watch in HD!
Train action at the double crossings in Santa Fe Springs/Los Nietos, CA during Fall of 2018. One of the better spots on BNSF's San Bernardino Sub to visit for horn action and high volume of trains! Can't go wrong here! Filmed over the course of about 5 weeks on various days.
Amtrak Southwest Chief, Pacific Surfliner, and BNSF trains featured...
Thanks for Watching!

Is that a yellow and blue Santa Fe GP 38 at 11:20? Something royal looking about that locomotive. Memories. During the mid-Seventies, my uncle would take us to the tracks and we would watch trains go by. I remember Amtrak's F40 and the yellow and blue Santa Fe. I didn't know they were still running.
Great catches!
175 sounds like a dying animal!
amtrak's p42dc version of bnsf's 7707?
If you plan on railfanning Surfliner trains again soon, keep an eye out for the trainset with cabcar 6907. It has a lounge car as it's diner. It is operating as train 763 today (December 21, 2018) and will likely be train 796 later, but this is still worth keeping an eye on.
Awesome catches. Lot's of action at that spot. Glad you got some shots from here. I personally don't have the guts to film at these crossings, as I've heard it's in a pretty bad part of town.
Thanks... this area is actually not too bad, but other areas on this Subdivision are a different story!
7766 has a terrible K5LAR24.. You should catch 599 when it comes back to SoCal. It is somewhere in the midwest to east. It has a lovely K5LAR24.
I kinda like BNSF 7766’s horn tho
11:16 Micro Precision needs to tune all K3LAs to that chord.
15:01 I caught the same train in Buena Park!
10:06 Awesome Train Meet!!!
