Great list. #4: I saw the liiiight, I saw the liiiight. No more darkness, no more night"! #7: I tried to contact my local Snap-on rep a couple of times to purchase that hose pick set and either he was too busy to respond or didn't care because I'm not at a shop. I went ahead to use the money on something else I needed at the time so I gotta save up again. I may just order the set straight from Snap-on if the local guy doesn't want my money. #8: I'm going to give those semi-deep sockets serious consideration. I have a possible job in the near future where that style socket will come in handy.
Donald Hollums they are amazing picks for sure. Those are the only items that I wouldn’t want to do without. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment !
I love the semi deep sockets. I hardly ever use my shallow or deep sockets at all any more. Im like you i have 1/4 and 3/8. The hose picks are great as well. Snap on hammers are the best on the market i have several and use them daily. I absolutely love my snap on ratchets. I personally do not like flex head ratchets at all but comfort grips are a must. My number one would be the PWZ pliers. I have four different sizes. Great video. I like seeing what other people use and like.
KNOWLEDGEABLE Koon Trucking Thanks for sharing it with us loved it Take care and have a great day. God bless you and all your family around you Koon Trucking From Nick Ayivor from London England UK 🇬🇧
I agree on the flat tipped hose pick set, love it ever since I bought it.The radiator hoses come right off.I even got someone else going to buy the set after he saw it asking me about it.Did buy the light at the same time I bought the flat tipped radiator hose pick set.One of my favorites is the FAR7200 3/8 drive air ratchet, one powerful air ratchet.Have to watch out where I put my hands.Slammed my right hand once with it cussing,it hurts
dude i cannot stop bing watching all your videos im going from videos in 2022 to 2018 and way back they all all grate BUT..........i now think im getting a tool addiction but its all good hahaha
No. 9, the wobble plus extension, also takes the place of a universal joint, which had the habit of locking up on you at the worst possible time. This just powers through; big improvement on that front.
I love semi deep sockets. I use my chrome 3/8 snap on and I have 2 sets of gearwrench 1/4 semi deep 4mm to 15mm great sockets for 30$. I hardly use shorts anymore. Also having a 15mm 1/4 is great a lot of companies don’t offer that
Nice video Clay. I’m always interested in the tools that are loved by people that use them daily. I’m pretty sure the electric tester is next on my list! Thanks for putting in the time to make your videos. They’re the best!
I wanted to thank you for give me a thumbs up for the guy who had the worst Snap on tools and I said I couldn't comment on them because haven't used them
The tool I carry everyday in the old back pocket is the FADH6B, even in street cloths. Hell I even won employee of the year about 6 years ago because of this tool. Needless to say that little ole 6" crescent has paid for itself many times over. Handy it is.
The ratchet you showed was my first ever tool truck/snap on tool i purchased when i got in the automotive field. The first time i used it I understood exactly why that single ratchet cost more than the 205 piece Craftsman "mechanic set" i got from Sears back in 2009. That tool set was the first tool purchase i made in my life. Anyways i still have that one ratchet in my box and i have none of the 205 piece tool set. I lost most and gave away the craftsman ratchets.
Pretty much same. I was all about craftsman until I got a 1/4 and 3/8 ratchet with a 6 piece screwdriver set as a promo package deal right after I started working professionally about 15 years ago, still going strong just bought a new handle for the 3/8 a couple weeks ago. It’s seen daily use and is perfect 👍
Haha I will do a top 10 of my all Tim favorite tools. Many of them are not Snap On believe it or not. I will shoot one for sure. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. I truly appreciate it.
I have a couple of the tools you talked about, the semi deep sockets and I have a couple of the flex head ratchets 1/4 and 3/8 no 1/2 , I'm fond of my bk3000 scanner, I do have a long 1/2 ratchet SL80A I like alot
Picked up the AWP45's Monday.. Awesome little pliers.. My SO guy is off this week which is actually probably a good thing so I can catch up a little bit..lmao..
great video brother, the only thing i would of added to your list is the 14.4 impact gun but it had to be hard to only pick 10 things. you should do a video on the thermal imager, that thing looks pretty sick.
Thank you for sharing! did you get my best homemade penetrating oil? If not here it is. Use Full Synthetic transmission oil,(not regular) mix 50/50 with acetone. This works better than Kroil and is way cheaper.
I'm like you with the semi deep, I use the hell out of my 3/8 semi deep impact sockets, and that light is awesome, I'm on my second one, first one was stolen by my wife.
Hey Clay. It looks like the M word man gave you a thumbs down😆. I agree on almost every level. I don’t deal with big diesels or a lot of electrical stuff so I can’t comment on the scanner or the digital test light. In place of those I’d add the CT761 3/8” cordless impact that Bill has and the CTR767, long neck 3/8” cordless ratchet. Snap-On socks would be tied at #10. I like the Snap-On hammers but I’m not sure the overmold is worth the extra $30-40 over the Trusty Cook/Cornwell version. I have a FLIR C2 thermal camera, $500 off Cornwell or Amazon. It’s a nice little thermal camera. The FLIR uses a visible sensor boresighted with the IR to overlay details and edges into he IR imagery. It makes the IR video look much better than it ordinarily would given the tiny focal plane (80x60). I agree on the semi-deeps, although I tend to favor Cornwell sockets over Snap-On. If you are starting out, go semi-deep impact sockets and add-on as necessary.
I purchased the 1/4 inch wobble plus extensions hated them kept locking straight traded them for just a set of wobble no hassle return handed them to dealer and he handed me the wobble ones no problem
I'm going to get some of those hose picks. But I have to disagree with items #9 and #8. I always thought wobble plus and semi-deep sockets were for non-professionals so they can buy one set instead of two saving money, not because they are better tools. I especially don't like wobble plus and got rid of mine because they would accidentally shift from wobble to straight and I would have to remove the tool, put it back to wobble, to then worry that it would happen again. I like separate wobble and straight extensions. I'm surprised Mr. Koon doesn't.
Geoff Clark one day I have a lot of stuff I want to get done like Wrench organizers and socket organizers and etc. everyone wants to see it but I want it to be right the way I like it before showing it off. There will be some idea stolen from it I’m certain because the way I have made some stuff for the sockets etc so gotta get everything done then I will shoot one. Just takes a long time to shoot it right and also edit it. I had several hours that I put into bills toolbox tour
Slightly off topic here, however, I was hoping everyone could weigh in on what they think the best vice grips are? I think we all agree that the Snap On locking pliers are not up to par (however, I don't think they are horrible like many people do, just not Snap On normal quality). I have two pairs of Knipex vice grips, standard 10" & long nose 6", and they are decent.. good quality for sure, but not outstanding, and interestingly not that far superior to the Snap On's when compared side by side.. More rugged for sure, but it's nothing like holding a pair of Knipex pliers in your hand where you instantly know you are holding a super high quality tool. So please offer your opinions and insights.. I am torn on what to buy, and I feel like the community is by far the best place for this type of question/answer....
Tried & True Tools the original “Vise Grips” by Eriwn are hard to beat. I have tried others but obviously everyone copied them for a reason. I believe they make the best pairs on the market. I have about 8 pair of them from large size to medium and real small as well as several pair of needle nose.
I've never been a fan of their hand tools. The battery stuff is a bit better but you could argue that that different manufacturers are better or at least very close. Where I think snap on is best I would say is the specialist kit like the thermal imaging camera to name just one of many.
Agree with list except I like the Craftsman version of the pliers called “Ignition Pliers”. Partial to Trusty Cook who used to make Snap On deadblows but they’re both great. I saw those hose picks right after I bought the sharp end ones and was like dammit!
That’s nuts, I prefer to have the best possible tools from different manufacturers, then again I’m an electricians and work usually with just my tool pouch so it helps having different coloured handles/tools.
I’m curious how @KoonTrucking compares the snap on ratchet to the Matco these days?… just got my first snap on off the truck and it’s the nicest ratchet I’ve ever used.. but if the matco is better I’ll get some different sizes in their brand too.
Good video, thanks. I love the semi-deep sockets too, I have full metric sets in 1/4" and 3/8". Just wondering if those AWP45 mini pliers are Snap-On rebranded Knipex Cobras - I couldn't get a close enough look on your video, but I have some Knipex pliers that size, and they look awfully similar.
They are not Knipex rebranded not even closely made the same. Since this video I have replaced them with the Knipex version and they are much better than the Snap On set
@@KoonTrucking You're right! I looked the Snap-On pliers up on the website, and close up they're very different, and the Knipex ones have much finer adjustment. They're very nifty little tools!
great tools right there. i bought my semi deeps back in 2004...i have them in 1/4" and 3/8" drive metric and standard...they are my go to sockets. i rarely use shallow or deep. i have the wobble plus and the regular extensions. i should get those hose picks.
Great video. A few guys have the Snap Lights at work. I an look for standard ratchets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 and I am unsure if I should go Mac or SO. Which would you recommend?
Hey bud why are you still messing around with test lights, get the snapon power probe, test light power probe, multi, hot shot all In 1, can't beet that, o and the new digital multimeter is the cats ass, I just got both really love them.
Them snap on dead blow hammers are worthless piles of S**T you will throw your back out before you even remove lower ball joints off of Silverado/Tahoe’s/Escalades/Yukon’s almost had one bounce back and hit me on the face because how hard I had to swing that pile of crap hammer ,Mac anti vibes are better
Great list.

Was anyone else surprised not to see the 3/8" CT761 Electric Impact Gun on this list?????
Not at all. Probably the one of the worst electric impacts on the market. Pales in comparison to dewalt/Mac Milwaukee, etc.

Just picked up the mini pliers today. Great call thx
Love your videos. Enjoy your Sunday!! You have a fan here in Canada!
Lot of good stuff there and looking forward to a tool box tour of your new box great video as always Clay.
Those little plyers rock.
The tool I carry everyday in the old back pocket is the FADH6B, even in street cloths. Hell I even won employee of the year about 6 years ago because of this tool. Needless to say that little ole 6" crescent has paid for itself many times over. Handy it is.
I thought for sure you would have had like at least the CT761 3/8 14.4v impact in there.
This man is basically just a Snap-On commercial.
The ratchet you showed was my first ever tool truck/snap on tool i purchased when i got in the automotive field. Test lights is the bomb love that tool
Great video! You should now do a video of your top 5 or 10 worst tools. (Of any brand) but I have a feeling it would all be M word tools. Lol

Like your picks I wanna get the hammer , light and I still need hose picks 👍🏻🤟🏻
great list of tools, thanks for the video, enjoy your Sunday
That’s a great video Clay and a great list. Everything on your list are some of my favorites.
4 years ago you loved the Snap-on locking flex head but now you love the matco clocking flex head
Yep the new design snap On has will probably change that back to snappy
Finally, I find a video with the Prolink Ultra. Thanks for the video. Hope you can make a lol review on the scanner. Thanks
I used it in the Rear box sensor video. Shows the scan time and boot up for a paccar

just got one of them lights. i like it so much i think im going to buy another one so one is always charged up.
Great video thanks brother.
Good stuff Clay!! Would like to pick me up one of those magnetic
lights for sure!

When Mr. Koon said he is a red and black guy I said me too. But then I noticed his tool boxes are blue while mine are red or black.
You should make a gooood video on that thermal imager hehehe
All my tools have to match, the red bein my favorite also kinda traditional.
That’s nuts, I prefer to have the best possible tools from different manufacturers, then again I’m an electricians and work usually with just my tool pouch so it helps having different coloured handles/tools.
That's all fine and dandy if your ok with spending $6700 USD on 12 tools, but the scanner and imager are like 5 grand. It's an investment though
AWESOME VIDEO

Great video. A few guys have the Snap Lights at work.
I an look for standard ratchets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 and I am unsure if I should go Mac or SO.
Which would you recommend?
It’s all in what you prefer as far as feel. I personally like the snap on better than Mac
The hammer is pretty, just don't treat it like a hammer or it Will Break
On item number 3, I thought "Flaex" was the part number. Then I realized that's just a typo!
Number 1 was supposed to be a 10mm socket, but he couldn't find it.
True
You use those mini pliers (#10) for holding your roaches don’t ya? Lol
Hey bud why are you still messing around with test lights, get the snapon power probe, test light power probe, multi, hot shot all In 1, can't beet that, o and the new digital multimeter is the cats ass, I just got both really love them.
Hey! do you know the part number for the thermal imager? thanks!
Did you watch or even listen to the video
Rhat snap on scanner is expensive. To expensive for a DIYer
Can I buy snap on tools from you? I can’t find my local rep
He can’t sell outside his route
