That is a crazy price tag on that metal printing. Could have done a pour cast for a fraction of it. It's super dope that the technology for that is here and like all things it will probably get more affordable and accessible with time. For the montage I do prefer voice over but the music/text version in this was fine.

I cosplay a lot of anime characters, and I prefer either eva foam or 3D printed weapons because it is light, easy to carry since I'll be walking around all day with them, it does not drag down my cosplay clothes, and it is easier to pass weapon inspection into the cons. But for accuracy, photos, and display, this is awesome.

  • @TeaGamingPanda

Honestly I prefer the narration because it really does help and give knowledge to us viewers especially when we want to learn the hobby or create what you’re creating. Even if it’s the same old sand, primer, sand, primer, paint, Velcro visor, yadiee ya. Sometimes you learn different things on the same subject and sometimes everything is different like spray paint. We evolve. Plus you narrate amazingly! Entertaining and informative! From the White Ranger and Dr Fate vids alone I learned a lot about sanding, priming, and painting despite them going through the same process. Also why not have both worlds and have background music within your narration? Doesn’t hurt to learn!

3:58 That was about 500 dollars less than what i thought it was going to be.
6:29 Ooooh... Well, if you have already discussed this before, having a music overlay isn't bad. However, describing the process can be informative. I would choose the latter. If Bob Villa had not explain how things were done, he wouldn't have that much of a show.
    11:19 Pretty Clean!

  • @figuresix

Speaking over the video is much better. Music for the most part is usually pretty annoying, and trying to read while watching what your doing makes it hard to do both... Even though I suppose its cool to have those parts made of metal, seems like a waste of money on a prop. If you did the whole blade in metal, and actually making a weapon I could understand. But in all honesty you cant tell they are metal after they are painted. So making them out of PLA would be better option for a prop.

The music was great, really relaxing. But I do like the VO in the video. Could you do both? Like, set the music to 20% and your VO to 100, so that you have the relaxing music with the instructions being spoken for the people who build along the way with your video?
Your videos have helped me a lot in learning how to use Cura, setting up and using my printer and I’m about to print my first helmet after getting the printer last month. Thank you for the helpful videos?

To tell the truth I must prefer a voice over than the text. There are two reasons. The first is I prefer to concentrate on the video without distractions and second a lot of text doesn't always stay up long enough to read. I then end up pausing several times during the video to read the text.

First, I love to watch closely what you do, and as I'm not a native speaker, it's harder for me to read and watch everything at the same time. If you talk over it, I can process more information xD
Second, I simply like your voice :)
And third, talking feels more "alive" than just text, I wouldn't know how to explain it but it makes me concentrate more.
Great vid as always, if only metal printing was not THAT pricey :/ Also, A vid on belt printing and how to set it up would be really nice !!

    Hi Frank,
First of all, if it comes to next sword I would love to see Shinobu's cause it's design is really unusual.
And I was wondering if could you maybe make a video about cr30 and getting it to work or at least what resources(like what discords or forums) have you used in order to make this devilish thing print in at least minimal part of decency? Cause I am fighting cr30 in my lab at uni and searching for any information regarding issues I am experiencing is real pain in the back.
As always love your work and one day would love to see a whole blade 3d-printed even if it's with aluminium and with breaking a bank/winning a lottery not being a necesity xd, hope we will be able to see it coming true.
