I just tore my acl at a race and I'm going to be checking them out for when I'm healed.

Those are super nice bro i believe those would hinder my riding..... Its cool to see other people having exhaust melting problems.... Everything on the header side burnt up!!!! Great review bro!!!!

Knee protection is super important! As a beginner at track riding I learned the hard way after I went down in the whoops. I had a hard time walking for a few days. I believe I over extended my knee.

My personal option is I’m more comfortable not running any knee braces even though I’ve had a torn MCL on both legs. Also I feel more at one with the bike not wearing them. Makes it tough to find pants that aren’t made for knee braces though.

My first ride with Alpine Star Carbons I tore my MCL. Braces take away more feel then protection provided.-jm2c

There's definitely a break in period and some time getting used to it. But they increase your leverage and when you crash your knees are very prone to getting hurt. But as long as you only ride as a weekend warrior and you really cant stand them its kinda ok riding without.

@@jonaskonrad Getting "used to it" made no difference in my MCL being tweaked. Knee cups have done me the same protection and $600 less. And I race across the state and US. No weekend warrior here. Just a matter of preference.

If you hadn't said sorry about go pro I thought you directed it by purpose so that we could see your knees in new pads ))

I am just starting out, and I don't want something that feels very bulky and gets in the way. Would say these get in the way? Also, when you bend your leg, I see that the knee cap portion comes up a bit, would that feel annoying in pants/ have trouble fitting in pants?

I have these as well. Unfortunately my legs are very big and they tend to slide down after 1-2 hours and become very uncomfortable. They have done there job to keep my knees safe though!

Are braces mainly for MX or do you think they would help in a crash on the road . I just got a 2019 DR650 and have bought some top shelf gear but didn't know about knee braces .
Your comment about saying the brace was the cause for a broken femur is a bit unnerving . Anyway the riding I will be doing won't be involving big jumps and such but more back country fire roads ect .
    Thanks for the review !

Knee braces I done a Chad Reed where he jumped off the bike but I wasn't so lucky and blew my right femur into 4 pieces and damaged knee ligaments etc. So the verdict is out with me weather I will use braces again.

Just out of curiosity do you use the hip pads that come with pants? I never have and am wondering if maybe I should lol

Do those hip pads help with the braces from bruising your quads?

Over 500 for knee pads? Dident even know that was possible. Trump making everyone rich these days I suppose.
