San Francisco Queen 👑 of world , 68 years ago classic fisherman wharf . How clean the city was and old school neighborhoods, the respect for authority . America at it's finest never to be seen again. It's seven by seven miles that why they call it the 49mile drive.
Those where the days my friend when authorities were respected now you have criminals and GETTO thugs spitting at our cops. Fighting our cops and destroying our 🌎. I wish those days never ended

A drama. Not a film noir. A Holly Wood cliche; plot, personas, sets, costumes, et al. Everyone does their job because they're professionals. I enjoyed it because I saw it as a 12-year-old boy and again with the experiences and knowledge of eight decades of age. As Bob Hope sang, "Thanks for the memories..."
It's wiki page has it as noir, but agree. The story could be noir, but the way they gave it a light tone with happy people for 95% of the film definitely feels more like an average drama with a sad twist for the ending.
Good movie with good character actors ... Good looking Tony Curtis with heavy New York accent and bad acting ...Universal Intetnational picture push him deep down in our throat ...Nice story and good acting by the priest killer ..
I liked the film but not the ending. I thought the priest's murder should have had closure. It would have given everyone closure. The truck driver knew Silvio ran in front of him; he would say that. Charlie Cuneo would eventually figure it out.
Hopeless movie nerd that am, the slow song played at the dance 35:00 in is also the song played in the romantic car scene with Craig Steven’s and Ali’s Talton in “The deadly mantis” both films were 1957 by universal studios….just sayin’
Fantastic movie, excellent acting from Tony Curtis.
It's a good movie. I could have sworn I was watching Pier Angeli until I found out she had a twin sister. Thanks for posting.🤩
Thank you for putting this up !
Very good, thank you for sharing 😊.

The city wasn't that clean back then, and North Beach was run by the Italian mob, so...

Very good film! IDK how such a good movie is unknown now.
I saw this movie a year back. Watching it again. Good movie. Very gripping
Un Tony Curtis inedito e d imprevisto 🇮🇹🇺🇸⚓

Bad acting? That’s a first
Gilbert Roland is fantastic. He has been acting since the silent movies an stayed in great shape.
Twice a murderer & Curtis lets him go. 🤔
