    Pro tip for waxing from an esthetician: Hold the skin tight with your other hand and pull the strip of wax away close to the skin so you reduce pulling the skin in an outward direction. It's much less painful. But I know its kinda hard to do all these things at once on yourself (;

      I came here to make this comment. I do my own facial waxing and learned from a salon I used to work reception for. As someone who is very fair skinned like Taylor, my skin is pretty delicate, sensitive and thin. It would be easy to rip some skin right off if not done right. 😢 I hope she read your comment. ❤

    I usually keep my opinion to myself, because each skin is literally unique and reacts differently to products; but I have to say I used to have the exact same chin acne you have and I wanted to share my experience and how I got it better.
    I used to use gel/foam cleansers on my skin, had occasional face exfoliant and ocasional face masks.
    My skin therapist told me I had to change and simplify my skincare routine as much as possible. So I did
    I got rid of my gel /foam cleansers and purchased cream based ones. Cream based cleansers promote moisturizing, are less abrasive and rough on skin.
    I only exfoliate my skin once a week, at night.
    The products I highly and specifically recommend are REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream, paired with hyaluronic acid from DECIEM/The Ordinary.
    Face mists without any alcohol if possible, and sunscreen EVERYDAY, I use BABO Botanicals for babies (unscented and super Light Weight).
    Limit the use of facemasks for just once every week, every two weeks.
    Sometimes our skin just needs to be left alone! At least that’s MY experience, might give it a go and see if it gets better.
    If you don’t wanna try it,
    That’s okay too; I love the fact that you are so confident on your own skin and I’m happy to see that you feel like sharing your experiences and life with us !
    Xx

      The thing is she said this acne is from her hormones getting out of wack from IVF so not sure if products will help too much, though I agree that cream-based cleansers are better than drying foam on sensitive skin with acne. I actually switched to African black soap though and find it best for acne. In the end, for hormonal acne, it's mainly an inside job. Stuff you put on your skin can only do so much

    • @PinkFaline
      @PinkFaline 4 роки тому

      @@winterwaffle16 While yes, hormonal acne is hard to treat on the outside, she can actually reduce the inflammation by reducing her skincare. She may not be able to get rid of it entirely without retin-a, but she can reduce the appearance. I have hormonal acne but since reducing my skincare steps and focusing on gentle and hydrating products, my hormonal acne reduced A TON in appearance. Then I added in retin-a and it's completely gone. Only when I go without retin-a does it come back but still less aggressive than before. Liah Yoo is a great resource here for simplifying skincare!

    That scalp treatment is something I'm definitely going to try, my hair is quite thin and on top of that I have psoriasis on my scalp which blocks some of my hair follicles. So I'm very protective of my hair and use lots of natural products to help it so the scalp treatment sounds ideal for me! Thank you so much ❤️ also I love you and your videos! • @Megan9689
      @Megan9689 4 роки тому +3

      I also have scalp psoriasis. I use the "Clear" brand shampoo and its helped me so much! Its normal shampoo but focuses on scalp health. I've tried coconut oil masks, tea tree oil shampoos and masks, T-Sal, coal-tar ointments, you name it. Expensive natural brands hair and scalp masks like Brigeo specifically targeting psoriasis did nothing. I think I also tried a scalp mask from Lush too. The Clear shampoo and conditioner(which I put on my scalp and through my hair) has worked really well for me surprisingly since its not marketed for scalp psoriasis or anything. And also make sure to dry your hair thoroughly and don't let your hair be damp on your scalp for long, even for air drying. Using the Clear shampoo and conditioner every other hair wash(every-other day) and then drying my roots when I get out of the shower has basically cleared mine up. If I go longer than washing every-other day, my patches flare up and spread. Sucks because I can't do the whole skip-a-washing-and-just-use-dry-shampoo fad everyone is doing. Maybe try those things if you haven't just to see if it helps you? Good luck!

      @@paulgotik So massaging your scalp improves blood circulation like Taylor did at the start, I massage a coconut oil blend into my scalp tho and tend to add a couple drops of lavender essential oil, I use Argon oil on the tips of my hair to stop split ends. You gotta make sure it's actually argon oil tho there's a lot of products that say argon oil but aren't. I would try and not wash your hair often if you do, so mine gets greasy after one day but I wash it every other day to let it have a chance to use those naturally produced oils, I comb those through my hair on day 2 if I can. And then finally I'd find a daily routine that isn't too stressful on you. If your job is stressful or you have kids maybe try finding the time for something to do in the evenings like meditation or yoga. Something to relax yourself as stress can cause hair loss as well. If you wanna talk more my insta is ellas_art_98 x

    FYI you’re right about Vitamin A (retinol) causing birth defects but it has to be super high quantities of it (Accutane for example) using a retinol from Sephora or somewhere isn’t going to give your baby birth defects. So if you talk to your doctor you probably can use low level retinol products very safely. The one thing is not to have baths with essential oils while pregnant apparently. Obviously you should talk to your doctor about all this!! This is just what I’ve learned from Drs and estheticians over the years

    Scalp treatment is sooo good, but also you should think about PEH method. You have to deliver your hair enough proteins, emollients and humectants. Not at the same time ofc. It depends in the day and you just have to observe your hair and get to know which product to use! There are sooo many products. You can even buy a pure keratin or aloe or yoghurt etc. and add it a mask or so or even make your own mask. Then you’re gonna give your hair what it needs and your hair will look worse and better but for sure after some time of learning and observing you will know which product to use on each day. I also highly recommend to use oils on your hair (and scalp) PURE OILS ONLY! And then leave it on for an hour or more, wash it off with a conditioner and then use a shampoo and bboooom! Done ❤️

    Always love your videos girl, that was so relaxing and well-cured (all of your videos are). I'm against oil pulling though. I did it for months, learned pretty much everything about it, while searching for scientific researches and opinions about it too in the meantime. Since it didn't do any of the miracolous things people were talking about and I actually found out that it can be dangerous for your health (lungs-wise, you guys can search scientific info about it online), I stopped doing it. It's basically useless (at least it was for me and lots of other people), time-consuming, unpleasant and potentially dangerous. Just wanted to share what I know so that everyone can search info about it properly before trying it ♡
    Edit: I remembered what it can cause, it's called 'Exogenous lipoid pneumonia'

Thanks to Brad mondo's recent video i didnt even realize they made diffrent hair brushes for diffrent reasons. NO clue, I'm also a 28 year old lady so I need help 😆

    I like oil pulling, I want to do it more I just always Gag when I first put it in my mouth. I love the smell of coconut oil, I love to put it on my skin and hair, I love to cook with it and I always get so excited to oil pull but as soooooon as it touches my tongue I gag so I gotta kind of fight that. Lol HOWEVER once I suppress my vomit and start swishing it around I’m fine. Totally recommend you try it if you haven’t! 😅😅😅 I had an ear infection and read this claim that oil pulling helped with ear problems and I only did it 1 time but I could tell it helped. Also helps eith tooth aches! It seems to relieve the pain (or it did for me)

    About waxing the face, I've discovered that waxing my chin (I use sugar wax) made my acne in that area decrease A LOT. I've never had lady beard or anything, my face hair is blonde and thin. It's more of a peach fuzz than hair, really. Weird but I thought I'd share.
    Loved the video!

    I paused the video to comment that your bathtub is amazing. Size, design and depth of it. Now I'll unpause and focus on the intriguing scalp care

    tip for the cheap/frugal folks that want to try a a scalp exfoliator: the ordinary glycolic acid toner is like $8 for a decent bottle and it comes with a nozzle. fanserviced and fiddynails on Instagram talk about it more. on their blogs or on their actual instas.

    Hi taylor, have you considered a segment on how you're adjusting your business plan to cope and to restart your business after covid. Or have you been doing well online since so many people are buying online?

    Dear Tayor, I just wanted to ask if you noticed a big difference in your eyebrow growth since you started using castor oil? And if so, how long did it take to become noticeably different? I have rather thin eyebrows due to overplucking them in my teens and they wont really grow back how they used to... i tried those fancy eyebrow serums but after about two month of religiously using it twice a day (i went through 3 bottles -.-) i didnt notice any difference so i gave up on that and was ready to just accept my thin brows. But i feel like i could give your castor oil advice a go. To finish off i just wanted to thank you for always brining us either uplifting (funny and quirky) or relaxing but always smart and instructive content! Especially during times like these it is much appreciated! lots of love from Germany, Sarah❤️

    Dear Tay,
    Vitamin A (retonic acid) comes in many different forms and not all cause birth defects and also depends the percentage you take so high doses cause the birth defects. Also, Vitamin A is naturally occurring in the body. It found in many foods that we eat like eggs, leafy greens and fish. Accutane, Isotretinon, Tretinoin, and dapsone (retinoids) are the forms that cause birth defeats. Not enough studies have been done with topical retinol to show cause for alarm yet...depending on areas of treatment and absorption rate of the skin. Study: “Safety of skin care products during pregnancy”
