Lmao I cant even. Now all I can see if Ozpin inside Oscar’s head going through a file with different situation responses.
Makes way too much sense given he seemed to start treating each incarnation as a do-over to try a different approach, but started making canned responses to repeated situations. Oscar's horror continues to be entirely justified, at least Salem seems aware she is a monster...Ozpin doesn't seem to realize he became detached from being human a while ago.
When you consider the countless lives Ozpin has lived, the countless followers he had, and then the countless betrayals he had experienced, it's become clear that Ozpin became fearful of trusting people with the whole truth. It's a literal miracle that he didn't crumble himself and just accept Salem's beliefs that humanity should be ruled over as if they were gods and abandon the quest that the God of Light gave him. Yet Ozpin still struggles.

Y'know, I don't know who to actually root for in this.
Yes, you can blame Oz all you want for his lies...but, can you honestly say they were that bad? Leo betrayed him, who's to say the others won't once they find out whatever he's hiding?
Not to say that his methods are working, they clearly aren't. He needs a different approach to the war...but what right does RWBY actually have to know his secrets?
He hasn't known them for long, he's only their headmaster and spoke with them on a few occasions. They weren't invited to fight with him, they just sort of came along for the ride. And...they're not huntsmen. No matter how much you'd like to argue, their first years, kids, they're stupid and emotional. Yang has anger and abandonment issues, Blake never listens to authority figures, Ruby is too naïve to understand the desperation of the war itself for underhanded methods, and Weiss is completely loyal to her team what with it being the family she never had and will immediately side with the others.
They keep expecting him to immediately trust them, but they haven't earned it. Fighting alongside him doesn't automatically make them worthy of such trust. At all. The only exception for this is Qrow, Qrow has been working with Ozpin for years yet he didn't tell him.

Now while I do also agree. You have to remember that as kids (and protagonists) they need to know everything on why they want to risk their lives for a reincarnated spirt. Even when they don’t deserve it but hey. Got to let the fans know on why as well.
@@taiis.b8929 While I do agree that we'd need to know eventually, doing it now when things are still pretty new is just...well, appeasing the fanbase. And fact of the matter is that they can leave any time, he's not forcing them or anything. If they don't like how he does things, then just leave.
And you can't use the justification of risking their lives, EVERYONE'S life is in danger, all of humanity is at risk from Salem. The Grimm have control over most of the planet and surround humanity from all sides, Salem is winning no matter how you look at it and her agents are everywhere plotting the fall of the kingdoms. Its either do something and possibly survive, or do nothing and die.
...but that being said, I would like some answers. I really want to know what his past is.

Well the fanbase is a very scary thing. And mostly you would want to appease them to get them to not bitch over everything. And while yes they do have the choice to leave, then we’d lose protagonists that have a chance to develop. And after watching volume 3 all I’m eager to see is how many times I will see “That’s a lot of knowledge they just dropped.”
But your points are valid and I’m not trying to argue, just saying you have to do something to keep things interesting with teenagers.

Not that age really matters that much in fictional ships. I mean it only matter for Oscar because he's so young. Age differences are not much of an issue as long as everyone is old enough. Peoples feeling vary on that however for mostly ridiculous reasons.

One thing I recently noticed...
When Oscar first started talking to Ozpin, Ozpin stated that he was also confused about what was going on when it happened to him.
So, I don't think the ORIGINAL old man is really in there anymore. Every reincarnation sees the new soul assimilating the old soul, not the other way around. So eventually Oscar will have a lot of Ozpin's memories... but it will be Oscar Pine. So maybe Ozpin isn't lying so much as he is (like everyone else) not fully clued in. He's working with bits and pieces from the guy who came to him, who would have been working with bits and pieces from yet another incarnation.
He's still a secretive bastard, that Ozpin... but he may have reason to withhold information he doesn't understand himself.

They probably care but we have too many things going to pay much attention to a character that just showed...we wanted the ozpin backstory since the whole "I made more mistakes than any man woman or child "line
I concluded that she's Salems agent. A silver eyed warrior whose eyes were taken but got spared under conditions or a woman without eyes told secrets to make her story work. She's there to drive a wedge between them and lead Ruby astray. Thats why the scene transitions from her looking at Ruby with Qrow by her side to Qrow being dragged away.

Ozpin didn't do anything wrong, in fact he barely had any agency before he left Salem. So why would Oscar react to the memories this way?
Unless... Well It's obvious Ozpin is really ashamed of it and holds a lot of guilt for things that're not his fault. So maybe Oscar saw the memories how Oz sees them instead of how they really are?

Calling it right here and now, The Original Oz is from Earth.
And that what it was missing! An inside of characters perspective. That's why I prefer books over film as a story telling medium. It is extremely vivid in Oscar thoughts because we get to see their interaction an inner dialog. It makes me mad that it is just a noncanon video to make audience laugh. Like really we know almost nothing about what characters think! And that is important when the two souls merge together.
Sorry I went overboard but I would love to think about your videos as canon, Oscar questions, gets mad, has some kind of emotions towards Ozpin.
But on the most part you're doing a grat job at making me laugh.

Chapter 3 is going to be a challenge, but I have a pretty good idea of how it's going to go.
Not gonna lie 4:35 still kinda hurts because gods only know how many times Oz's been stabbed in the back over the thousands of years he's been reincarnating. Even the noblest, greatest soul would be torn beyond recognition after that.
