I realize this is an older video, but perhaps there will still be a response/clarification. I think the slide and discussion, "Consider your data transformation input & output", is misleading. The speaker says that the numbers on the left are milliseconds, but the chart legend says it's TPS (Transactions Per Second). This would indicate that XML > XML transformation has the *best* throughput, rather than the worst. The speaker says that he recommends using objects/POJO's based on this information; this seems like an invalid recommendation--based solely on this chart.
