You never have to apologize for showing your emotional reaction to a song. That's why everyone watches these reaction videos in the first place! The song was written and sung by Paul McCartney. He's the one on the upper right with the full beard. He wrote it after he had a dream about his mother, Mary Patricia McCartney, who had died when he was 14. McCartney was dealing with a lot of tension within the Beatles and his mother came to him in the dream and told him to relax and "let it be."
His mother Mary used to tell Paul to "let it be" when he was having trouble, or would ask his mum what he should do about a situation...i heard Paul say that on a video
This song was written more than 50 years ago, and it's based on a dream Paul had on his dead mother Mary basically giving him an advise to stay positive despite all the turbulences the members of the band were having at that time. These troubles eventually led the band to break up less than a year later. I wonder what Sir Paul feels about a song with such personal lyrics as this one making young people cry 50 years after he composed it.

This was The Beatle's last number one song in 1970. Paul wrote this for his mother, who died when he was 14. He was going through a bad time. My Mom lost her brother in an oil rig accident when she was in her teens. She said she just listened to this song over and over for weeks. It was one of the reasons she got through and awful time. FYI Paul is singing about his mother, who died when he was quite young.
Something no one is mentioning is the fact that The Beatles actually made front page (at the top!!) headlining news around the world when they broke up. They were THAT important to everyone worldwide. Try naming another band making front page news just because they broke up. Watch the most incredible Beatles documentary called How The Beatles Changed The World. It shows how everything they did the world followed suit regarding music, lyrics, clothing, hair styles, how time spent in a recording studio could be completely different, etc. They were the first to prove that music could be art. The notion that an entire album should be recorded in just a few hours went out the window. They slowed down tapes therefore altering how it sounds. They inserted samples of things like birdcalls, etc. They had a short drum beat cycling over and over throughout an entire song. (Tomorrow Never Knows...from the Revolver album) They did things no one did until them. Geniuses!
Paul's late mother came to him in a dream, and told him to stop worrying about everything, it will all sort itself out if he just let it be. He woke up with the tune in his head and wrote it down.
I lost my only sibling, my brother, last year, this song brings me some comfort but is bittersweet, we both loved the Beatles and we were kids when this came out in March of 1970. It went to number one. I will probably preplan have this played at my funeral when I go someday. And yes with all the total anti-human crap going on in the world you have a right to cry.

The Beatles are the greatest. So much diversity in their music. From rock n roll to folk, from psychedelic to jazz, from anthems to ballads, and everything in between.

I look at it every day to remind myself that as bad as things may seem, 'all shall be well' in the end. This song just puts that sentiment to music, I believe - letting go of fear and anxiety, and just 'let it be'. It's long been one of my favorites among the Beatles' catalogue. I'm so glad that you were deeply touched by this song. It is beautiful, both in melody and especially in meaning. :)
Don't apologize for crying. Music is the language of the world. Its colorless and is supposed to drive your emotions. Sometimes it brings a smile and sometimes it brings a tear. Just let it flow through you and enjoy those tears brought on by this song. You aren't the only one to to it. This song has brought tears to the eyes of more than one generation and there is a simple joy in knowing others feel the same.
Awww thank you so much for your understanding
@@PemisCorner your welcome. There's an old band called Wet Willie and they do a song called keep on smiling. Look it up for yourself. I think you'll enjoy it. You don't need to react to it. If you want to react to a song that brings joy to your heart I'll suggest Three Dog Nights Shambra-la. They rivaled the Beatles in popularity between 69 and 72. Take care now.
@@raymondbrush6442 To you maybe but on it,s face that statement doesn't come anywhere near the truth.
The Beatles expressed so many emotions in their music together with you.
No distractions as they brought the entire world together.
Peace to Pemi & God bless.
That's the power of music 😊
You have a very kind and gentle soul...it shows :)
Awwww thank you so much
My Mom lost her brother in an oil rig accident when she was in her teens. She said she just listened to this song over and over for weeks. It was one of the reasons she got through and awful time. FYI Paul is singing about his mother, who died when he was quite young.
Oh wow. Such a healing song. So sorry for your loss .
The four brightest stars in the cosmos.
Geniuses!
They made the headlines? Wao!!!!
In my culture crying is a proof of life.
Thank you for listening to my kind of music when I was growing up. Enjoy more Beatles music there is so much more to listen to from them😊
Awwww thank you so much for watching
Paul's late mother came to him in a dream, and told him to stop worrying about everything, it will all sort itself out if he just let it be. He woke up with the tune in his head and wrote it down.
I lost my only sibling, my brother, last year, this song brings me some comfort but is bittersweet, we both loved the Beatles and we were kids when this came out in March of 1970. It went to number one. I will probably preplan have this played at my funeral when I go someday. And yes with all the total anti-human crap going on in the world you have a right to cry.
Oh mine. May his soul rest in perfect peace. It’s a good idea.. you are absolutely right
Tears of appreciation.
No need for apology's. I think it's a beautiful reaction to a classic, epic beautiful song. Positive vibes! ❤ The power off music! Paul McCartney singing about his mother who passed away when he was 13. He had a dream where she came to him told him to "Let It Be" with the struggles that we're going on in his life at that time. Just beautiful!
Awwwww. Thank you so much for your understanding
Never apologize for feeling the music. Your heart was open to it and your soul has absorbed it.
It's why he wrote it sugar, to spark emotion. Let it be...
Awwwwwww
Paul McCartney said his deceased mother came to him in a dream, and uttered those words to him, thus we get the song. A mother's love never ends. 😢
Oh my God. Mothers are the best
Bless you girl! You have the heart in the perfect place, and god bless The Beatles!
Awwww thank you so much
The Beatles are the greatest. So much diversity in their music. From rock n roll to folk, from psychedelic to jazz, from anthems to ballads, and everything in between.
Sometimes the message comes at the right time that it's needed.
I totally agree with you
There’s nothing like a true reaction
I totally agree with you
When I first heard this on the radio as a child, it felt like i was listening to a hymn. Even though I was a young boy at the time, it was a spiritual experience for me. Even to this day, I get the same feeling. It seems to reach into my very soul.
Big hugs to you Pemi from Liverpool.... the home of the Beatles ❤️🇬🇧
Don't Apologize. ...It's definitely alright to cry....Awesome Reaction to An Awesome Song.
Awww thank you so much
I loved many bands before them and after I heard them. They are, for mr, the greatest Rock band all-time. No song sounds like any other in the repetoir.
Awwwww
I always love it when people cry at the first hearing of Let It Be. Don't stop now! They did 200 songs you should review every single 1.
Really? I will definitely check it out
That's the power of music.
