Hi I restored my bike many years ago decals were available back then. I would suggest you will have to have them made there’s a company on Italian eBay OLIMPIAPARTS you could maybe ask if they can help as for the right hand clutch cover again eBay Italy or you could ask on Facebook groups for these machines if anyone has one for sale .
David I’m also in U.K. I restored my bike twenty odds years ago I had decals reproduced. You can buy the AMF H-D script on eBay few different suppliers. The SX 350 is a rare model only maybe 45 genuine H-D vin ever made before factory was sold to Cagiva in late 1978 You can tell if you have a H-D bike vin will be 9F 6- - - -H8 if it doesn’t have the H8 on end will be a Cagiva built bike which started production early 1979 early H-D Cagiva tank script bikes log books say manufacture Harley Davidson . I may have tank decals put away will check. Enjoy bike these 350 models had lots of piston troubles.
@@caferacer1959 Thanks for the reply, it was 1st registered in 1978 it has HD Speedo and Rev, the VIn starts with 9F definitely, not sure about anything after the numbers, it being delivered tomorrow, I will check. I passed my bike test in1981 at the age of 21 on the 125 version, now 61 so it will be the same bike as my 1st bike going into retirement just a few more cc.
@@TWL883 my first bike was the SX175 I bought it new in January 1977 I’m lucky enough to still have it I’ve been collecting these bikes ever since have most of the models from 125 up to 350 these bikes were cheap to pick up in the 80s & 90s no one seemed interested in then back then, when you have bike I’d be interested in the vin number if that’s ok be interested in any history you also have of bike my bike was featured in classic bike magazine back in January 2011 in there bike of the year finalist. I’ve never spoken to anyone else in the U.K. with a 350 in forty odd years.
@@caferacer1959 Reg. number. A S plate 350cc Engine no. 9F60759 This is all I have right now. What I know is it’s an import about 3 yrs ago, owners died and it’s was up for sale by a third party, advert was 1979 350 Cagiva. The photos are not great so I took a risk after doing a MOT vehicle check and it said it’s a 1978 fist reg, I downloaded the photos and blow up the photo of the dash and I could make out Harley Davidson on the speedo and Rev. The Vin comes back as A HD, When I did some research online. I have not seen the V5 yet but will have it tomorrow with the bike. If it turns out not to be a HD. Not the end of the world I didn’t pay HD money.
@@TWL883 Thanks great info look forward to seeing few pictures rare bikes . If it’s a Cagiva the early bikes we’re mainly red with H-D Cagiva script on tank. These bikes will have on the rubber parts H-D & as you said in the clock these bike we’re using up all the stock at factory when purchased. When all the Harley Davidson stock was used up the tank script lost the H-D label & Cagiva branding appeared on all parts . Not many of these bikes survive due to engine problems piston mainly there’s a company in Italy which has only recently started manufacturing pistons again but I’m finding them a bit of a nightmare to deal with but will persevere. The engine barrels are chrome bored so no liner, I use a company in Gloucester Aptec who use a ceramic coating very good had all my bikes done by them highly recommended. Enjoy your new bike.
I use Castrol 2 stroke oil & engine I use Castrol GTX engine oil . But I’ve also run my gearbox on ATF oil with no adverse effects . Original oil recommend Castrol supper TT 2 stroke oil Castrol GTX 2 Gearbox
Hi rest of the range 125/175/250 more reliable than 350s as long as two stroke oil tank checked regularly. 350 notorious for piston problems Cagiva tried different piston modifications. Also 350 production bikes proved not to be much faster than 250s.
