Great Video and your explanation of the Kabota BX23S... I appreciate your candor and honest opinion of this machine... I had actually purchased this very same machine myself... Thank you... Now, here is the real kicker. Please, Please, always wear your seat-belt while operating with the ROPS, ( Roll Over Protection System)... Working in Alaska several years ago, we lost a person who rolled over their bucket loader coming down a hill and unfortunately died due to his head being crushed underneath the left side of the ROPS... If he had been safely secured by his seat belt, he surly would've lived to tell about it... So, again. I ask you to wear your seat belt with the full extension/height of the ROPS attachment... Personally I would go bigger. That is a heavy machine. They brought to me and picked it up on on a massive trailer. I would check with Kubota on the recommended trailer capacity. Plus I think it is longer than 10'. And yes great machine.
Fellow Michigander here now living in Maine! Looking to buy one of these soon and searching for reviews found yours- definitely started paying attention when you said you were about 5 miles from DTW!!
Just came across your channel. I bought a BX 23s about a year ago and love it. Just the right size for me. I also have a belly mower and grapple attachment. I currently live in Arkansas, but am originally from Onsted Mi. Always love talking with a fellow Michigander!
Awesome, welcome to the fam. I was very impressed with the kub. I am happy to hear from someone who owns and uses one regularly. Know Omstead area well.
My wife an i bought a Kubota BX23s brand new in 2017, and never looked back. We have found so many different uses for ours, i can`t even imagine being without it now. The price on them sure jumped up, WOW! We paid $19K out the door with a free 60 inch belly mower. Financed it for ZERO percent through Kubota. Paid it off 3yrs later. If you think Kubota prices are high, wait until you see what John Deere sells their sub-compacts for! We`ve owned DEERE for 40yrs, but the Kubota was a far better deal. There are deals out there to be had. In this bad economy, people losing their jobs, you can pick up a really nice used & shiny repo cheaper than a new one.
I agree is a great unit and has a lot of uses. For me, I had everything done in a week with it. Oh yeah the prices are still going up without an end in sight.
Have been dragging my feet for the last year or two for pretty much the same price/usage justification as you mentioned. I may end up pulling the trigger this year as my 24 year old (😂)Craftsman riding mower is nearing its end. If I get a belly mower to add on to the unit seen here, I'll be able to justify it more easily as I'd be on it an average of once per week for several hours, not to mention the improvement of maintaining a gravel driveway over dragging a home made box grader behind the riding mower. Good honest review, thank you !
I wanted to do some comparison content, but, rental rates went through the roof. I know there are a lot of different models with similar specs and a lower price.
Macomb Twp here… and currently on the brink of pulling the trigger on a BX23S for our Cabin Up North in Lewiston. Great Review! Much love for Our Michiganders! #Mittenlove #Michigangster #Smittenwiththemitten #homeiswherethehandis
Thank you, appreciate and much love. Definitely needed for those spots up north. Ours came with an older Ford full size backhoe, which is actually running quite well. As for our ho.e down state I have a couple other m9dels I'm testing before making the purchase. Have to say the Kabota is still top tier.
Patrick, it is a heavy bugger. If correct believe is in the 7,000lb range. Here is a link to a discussion about what trailer would work.. www.tractorbynet.com/forums/threads/minimum-trailer-size-for-bx-23.61738/
I put it on a 14 utility trailer with the backhoe folded over the gate. Trailer is 1,300lbs and is rated for 5,500lbs load. Estimating the Tractor with front loader and backhoe at about 2,800lbs. Two proper straps and it doesn’t budge.
@@emazzikanbodo3014 I don't know why you can't comment on it. Will check the settings. Just chillin and enjoying my time here. Gonna meet up with Dana tomorrow or Tuesday
Great reaction! Very helpful to me.

Great honest review, I will keep following you and your views.
Thanks
Thank you and welcome
great little tractor. do you think it would fit on a 10' trailer or would you need a 12'?

Thanks. I actually found a picture of it on a 16’ trailer and took up the entire thing with both attachments on
Got it onto a double axle 12 foot trailer by letting the bucket safely hang over the front tongue.
Good review. Thank you 👍🏻

great video - i need that when i split logs// thanks
It handled everyone of those logs. Had a few near 48" across and it got em all moved
Was it a problem turning bacwards to use the backhoe?
Just the fact I can't walk and chew gum. Lol. My stupid coordination issues lmao
Things a Beast
Yes does a great job being so small
Can anyone comment on transporting this on a trailer? Trailer size they use, issues, strap strength, whatever else. Thanks
