Have you tested this to see how easily it goes over doorway transitions? I have a tile bathroom floor with a transition between that in the hardwood. I'm wondering if it will think it's hitting a rug and not climb over it. The current braava mop I have does not.
I will not. I got m6, have same problem - hardwood around the house and tiles in bathroom, there is small gap (like 5mm) fillet with silicone, it is few mm difference in height (I think 2-3mm). M6 went through first 3 times, now it doesn't want to go there. It is nearly entering bathroom and goes back. It pisses me off because if I want m6 to mop bathroom have to carry it there and after it can't find base so have to carry it back. What is interesting it has no problem leaving bathroom, only entering. Any solutions?
Until it fills itself with water and dumps the pad into a bin before it recharges, it's got a long way to go. It still needs to be picked up to have the water filled/dumped out, left open so the inside can dry out to prevent it from stinking and the pad taken off and thrown in the trash/washing machine after it's done charging. It's ability to clean over a larger area is the only advantage over the previous models.
You want to give it a big changle try dried on egg. Its all protein and will stick to glass like glue. Heard something about threshold it can go over them if chosen to
well if you really want to use this for a big house you have to let it run daily, because there is only so much dirt a single small mopping pad can handle. having to use it on a daily basis takes some effort and for the price i think the hizero mop is the by far better alternative.

Hi! You should take down the other video because too many will see the other video and think that the m6 can’t identify carpets. Also, HOW did you find out about the Keep Out Zones???????
Hello, there are 2 area of the hardwood/composite floor on the first floor of my house. The foyer and the kitchen, which are separated by the living room carpet. Will this present an issue in the way that this mopping robot will not cross the carpet area from the kitchen to the foyer? thank you.
Question, can it go OVER a carpeted area to get to a hardwood area? Example: Your living room or dining area is between the tile kitchen and hardwood bedroom. Can it pass over the carpeted areas to get to the non-carpet ones?
It navigates around carpet but doesn't travel over. Look into the Roborock S7. It will lift up the mop pad to travel over areas - ua-cam.com/video/-O7K4oerR4E/v-deo.html
iRobot says, "Your Braava jet m6 is designed to navigate over thresholds that are 3mm or less, due to its need to maintain contact between the pad & the floor. Thresholds larger than 3mm may cause navigation difficulties. It may be best to relocate your base to a new area."

I returned mine for this exact same reason (I also had the annoying error 45 - close the lid problem) I could not have streaks on my floor.. I know the problem is a combination of too much water being spray, the shitty pad and the straight lines of the mopping.. they could probably fix it by reducing the amount of water spray (even on the lowest it is too much for my floor), changing the pad (the paper pad that's included sux, maybe the washable cloth is better), and not doing a perfect forward and back motion.. instead maybe vibrate just a little while moving forward and backward. I might look at this in another 6 months... I really wanted this to work.. Bob.. any luck in solving the streaks..
Do you think it would be a bad idea to use the Braava exclusively if I only had hardwood floors? Don't do any vacuuming at all... Would it just push the big stuff around?
do i have to add water and change pad every day if its scheduled to turn on every day or can it go several days before needing to be changed and refilled? (will it alert you when it needs to be changed/filled?)

Hey all, bought the m6. After the dry trainingruns id like to clean wet but it is somehow stuck with "fill the tank".. Already tried shaking the tank and the sensor is free floating.. Rebooting also didnt help
It is supposed to be vibrating the pads left and right? I put my finger on the edge of the pad ( that is protruding the robot) and there didn't seem to be any vibrations. I ask this because I've never felt the robot has done a good job at cleaning. I just spreads water around the floor.
Also, if the robot doesn't clean by vibrating but rather moving forwards and backwards, have you tried weighing it down to put more pressure on the scrubbing? ( I might try adding some adhesive steel weights for car wheels)
Patricia Torres yeah it does. The 980 cannot clean a particular room, but the m6 can clean the whole floor plan or individual rooms after the 980 is done. A feature that’s missing from the 980 and s9 is sending the mop after a scheduled clean. Maybe i just can’t find it, but on the app I can schedule the roomba to clean everyday, but it doesn’t have the mopping option through scheduling. So I schedule the s9 the clean every morning at 9am and the m6 is scheduled every Monday and Friday morning at 10am. I understand it avoids carpet but can it travel from my hardwood floor kitchen onto and over my carpeted hallway and into the hardwood floor bedroom and bathrooms?
I bought it based on this review. You didn't mention it can't do the smallest of thresholds! I even BUILT ramp like thresholds, and they don't work. If it tilts up more than 3mm (.118 inches) it will turn around. Thats 1/8th of an inch!! Even making my ramp ends "1/8th" it didn't work
You should have also checked with the vendor about specific points. The review was very clear and if you had a particular issue not addressed here, that was on you.
@@samanthafox3124 can’t argue with the point in theory but it’s not practical. Consumers, informed ones, often rely on reviews to get backgrounds on products or device comparisons from experienced consumers and through product testing. People don’t know what they don’t know. This is a key detail that could be included in future reviews for a channel based on that content. Thanks though. You seem nice.
I'd be curious to see some sort of test with how high a carpeted area needs to be in order for the m6 to avoid it. Also, do you know if you can draw separate keep out zones when using the m6 and an s9 or other supported vacuum together? Just in case there are areas that I might want the mop to avoid but the roomba to still go to?

Hi 👋🏻 , thank you for your videos i learned a lot from you, keep it up 👍. I bought Braava Jet M6 last ¿¿"?month and it worked perfectly. I like it. But now i have a problem it just froze,by it self , the white light kept flashing for a day ,and I tried to do reset factory but didn’t work.the light 💡 just keeps flashing, do you have any idea how to solve this issue.?
I understand it avoids carpet but can it travel from my hardwood floor kitchen onto and over my carpeted hallway and into the hardwood floor bedroom and bathrooms?
The mop would drag across the carpet.
@@VacuumWars Good to know. Thanks.
is that you covert cabal?
