Yeah total overkill and was not required at all but it made the build so much easier knowing the integrity of each part intimately and having a better idea of what order to build it. Still got the order wrong. Thunder tiger made a great truck. So easy to work on. Very chunky. Lots of metal. The trans is top shelf
Thanks man this was almost a half a year to finish and all I needed was an engine bearing and an air filter foam and about 2000 hours labour, hahaha, never again, too much work!

Making the manual took a similar amount of time to build a Tamiya from kit haha. There are so many mistakes in the order that I assumed, I can’t publish it yet until that’s fixed. But it beats an exploded view any day! Glad you enjoyed it. Hope I get five or ten more views hahaha

Any more smoke and the neighbours would have called the fire brigade! So the truck is fine, besides a body shell. The engine has been half sealed but I can’t get the carb off to seal it properly. Huge air leak. I need to put zip ties everywhere. I need to tune it properly now that I know how (thanks again for your help) and I might go digital so I can play with this for a few years. Or at least put the failsafe in. Surprisingly no glitching at all on the AM radio but only playing on my own so not a good test. Not worth the risk
Glad you got it running at the end there. How long did it take to get to this stage in total? I have a mgt 4.6 project that I've been working on for a year or so, but all the gaskets on the exhaust needed replacing and I have yet to find one the correct size. These are quite hard to find parts for now.
Got the truck just before the new year along with another 3 nitros and quickly bought another two touring cars to make sure I had enough projects for the year. So five months in total but restored a few other cars in between. Sadly they don’t all go this well. One touring car has taken a ton of time but it won’t roll. It’s like the belt going to the rear diff has shrunk. The Hpi bullet needed heaps of parts that cost money. I wouldn’t buy gaskets, I would just use gasket maker from a tube or silicon for the bathroom. It’s soft flexible and heat resistant. Save $

It's old I remember at the time when I bought my first savagex it was one of the good competitor model it must have become rare now
There is a huge following for this truck and they always pop up for sale around me, probably because they drink so much fuel

The body post. Use a pen as a shieth to cover the inner tube and it will be stronger and last a while.
