Great video. Lots of nice footage. What did you attach your GoPro too? How deep was the water? I was out cod fishing late September for the second time. If I get out next year I might and figure out trying underwater somehow.
Watched it all and looks like you guys had a ball. Some great fishing there, guess you'll be back to do it again eh? Nice underwater footage as well.....congrats on the success
i watched this video early today some nice cod you guys were catching. we got a smaller run of fish around here. the lady got a big fish. cool footage . i just subbed. take care
Use barbless hooks the fish will come off easier and it’s safer for you if by any chance you get a hook in your hand try this experiment put a hook with barbs on and one without this will convince you and won’t do any damage to the ones you have to release and of course sharpen your hooks
That was truly amazing! Super happy to see cod making a comeback in Newfoundland! Can I ask, why the handline? A rod and reel looks like it would be easier, but I guess in those boats it may be actually more difficult than a handline. Great vid, happy to sub!!!!
The hand line is just a how the hometown boys do it. They are fishing for food first and recreation second, that’s the fastest way to fill the boat. You are right though, the rod can be a lot funner with a big one though haha thank you!
I love hand lining for cod...been hand lining for50 years here on west coast of British Columbia
Great Video , Awesome Day on the Water and a great run of Fish
