This award winning short documentary (PREVIEW ONLY) is dedicated to the wonderful people of Exuma, and of course, the world famous swimming pigs. The full version of When Pigs Swim premiered at the 2014 Bahamas International Film Festival, where it won the Haven Award of best Documentary Short. It has since appeared in four other film festivals.
Directed by Charlie Smith at Earthbeat Productions. Written by Jeff Todd. Produced by Peter Nicholson and Tyrone Munroe.

All pigs can swim and they also swim in the darkest and muddiest rivers too. Doesn't even need to be salt water. They're essentially like dogs.

It is a known fact that pigs can swim, I've seen videos of pigs swimming in pools, and people teaching them to swim. I think most people just don't know this because they don't see pigs that often.

+avaorchid They do. Mostly in the summer to cool off. The younger ones do splash about for fun as well.

+cynicjo Visitors are encouraged to bring fruits or vegetables for them as highlighted by tour operators. We request visitors only bring fresh produce which can be hard & expensive to come by in the out islands, sometimes.
+cynicjo wild pigs generally dig up the soil and eat roots and grubs... they'll eat about anything they can as well.
I have a hard time believing there is no food waste at restaurants there......

Oh, God. I wish all these bautiful and incredible animals could be allowed to swim in freedom like this all the time! They don't deserve such inmense cruelty they go through everyday in factory farms. PLEASE DON'T EAT ANIMALS!!! They are innocent, sentient beings like us! Inform yourselves about the cruelty and suffering these beings are put to everyday. LOVE IS THE ANSWER! GO VEGAN FOR THE ANIMALS!!! 💜💜

Pigs are very tropical animals and they are natrually able to swim, Because of them living in rain forests they usally run into floods a lot so they have to be able to swim across to safer land
