@@StaaaaNzHD Yeah you know that Excercise you tried for the 1st time 3 months ago your an idiot for not knowing how to do it NATURALLY with ZERO prior instruction! Hey captain know EVERYTHING especially about this random stranger on the internet tell me then, when is my dad gonna die from that disease that's killing him???
@@StaaaaNzHD Yeah that's what I thought UGLY, oh BTW NOW I have a 300 POUND Bench PR and 400 Pound Deadlift PR! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH PUSSY?! I got a funny feeling I can THROW and BREAK you.
honestly i’ve been going to the gym consistently for 6 months now and this is one of the workouts that i’ve really never been able to get down. this is very helpful tho. gonna try these tips tonight
You see any muscle growth progress after 6 months? I’m about 2 and a half months in and I feel like I can see little progress but don’t know if it’s all in my head lol.
@@gixerson8212 This varies person to person, depends if you're a beginner or coming to exercise after a prolonged break. How exactly are you "seeing" your progress? Pictures - light and shadow, water retention all distorts these measurements. I recommend literally measuring the circumference of your muscles with measuring tape every 2 weeks or every month. Good luck friend!
I've done this workout years ago in the past, but I avoided this workout for the longest time for 2 reasons. One is the fact that I'm weak af at this workout and was embarrassed to do it at the gym, and the second being that I didn't know proper form. Today after watching this and correcting my form, I put my weak fears behind me and got back to it, and felt the burn I never felt before, even at the lightest weight. I'm definitely not strong yet, but everyone starts somewhere and I'm ready to progress 💪🏽 Thanks for an awesome clip, showing what I was missing!
Being completely honest for the first time in my 7 month gym journey have I ever felt my triceps soooooo fucking properly. Thanks man this info helped alooot
Forward lean, helps with serratus as well. Keeping the shoulders locked forward. Get a bit of lower chest action. I know this is all technically wrong, but I've switched up my technique over the years, and I've already built majority of my triceps.
The cable attachment I use always hit my legs, once I started narrowing my foot stance and hinging more, it didn't hit my legs at all. Thanks for not letting me overlook this.
Anybody know any dumbell alternatives to rope pulldowns or should I just replace them witha nother tricepexercise because I recently lost my gym membership
Knew I wasn’t trippin. Went to the gym with my friend after 1 year and he was trying to tell me to stand up straight but I couldn’t get full range. I’d bend over (Pause) and he’d say I wasn’t doing it right😂
a dude told me that this form was wrong, said I'll break my back, dawg 💀 now I resorted to other tricep exercises earlier but this is my favorite, that was seriously annoying 😭
Remember the tempo, i promise you. If you do a really slow eccentric and a slight pause right before you lose tension on the triceps. You will get an unreal pump, and a new almost profound amount of soreness the day after. and you don't need to use as much weight. (I also personally reccomend a straght bar for this, ropes may increase tension in the muscle contracted state, but it's probably not worth it as it lowers your power output overall, and the muscles lengthened position arguably being more important for muscle stimulis)
I do it standing straight up with keeping my elbows tucked in, but hold for 3 seconds when I go down and let me tell you I feel the burn so. Hope that’s equally effective
Bro this vid actually gave me information, a coach in my gym literally told me to stand straight instead of bend over even though i was bending over a bit to get that ROM, you help more than a coach in my local gym. THANK YOU!
I do it standing straight with elbows tucked in not moving my elbows as little as possible, but holding it for 3 seconds and it burns and feels so good
You can push your tris more up to allow a stretch watch cbum he does it as well arnold did as well, theres a study stretching the muscle and contracting it makes muscles grow quicker and bigger due to it being put in and elongated position and in a squeezed position if you only squeeze and dont stretch you can suffer from muscles stiffness problem because constantly squeezing is gonna cramp up the muscle so watch the real bodybuilders and how they do it and science and facts
Is that not bad for your back or neck? I do try to bend with a little bit of a angle but mostly I probably look like I’m standing straight up. I just kind of been my knees a little bit and have my chest up, but have an arch to my Back a little bit. But it seems like I’ve been doing a good job with not moving my upper arms. And I separate the rope as I pull it down. That way I can take each side to the side of my legs slightly.
Hinging at your hips is fine because it allows you to achieve full lockout of your triceps the bottom. Good to keep your upper arms stationary / elbows locked in place and to have your forearms be in contact with your biceps in the stretched position / the top
“More range of motion” you are also using more momentum leaning forward, the harder you try to stand up straight the harder it is. Also the tricep is moving in the same position literally no difference. I’ve watched videos of people have 2x bigger triceps than you and do it straight down
Scap retraction isn’t going to help with ROM. Just focus on your forearm starting to touch your bicep at the top of the motion. Any higher and you’ll lose tension.
If you want bigger triceps this is not the exercise to do . Try a close grip bench press a weighted dip or a skull crusher . This is a finisher movement
You get more use from triceps if your elbow goes behind the body, meaning straight up is ideal. You're just making due with what you have, not being optimal. Optimal is decline bench skull crushers or kickbacks, and straight bar or single arm press downs.
Bruh that’s how you get the tennis elbow too, people putting so much mf pressure on their elbows the elbow taking all the weight gonna head to snap city. Good vid
People will stop questioning you and assume you know what you’re doing when you become bigger. Seriously, once you’re big, you can do horrible form and they will think you have a revolutionary technique
Brudda I have been doing this exercise for years, and I have never felt like I’ve done it right and found this vid and tried it, I’ve never felt my triceps as intensely doing this workout as I have after trying it like this. Thanks man!
Tried this in the gym, FOR ONCE felt this in my Triceps, LISTEN TO THIS PERSON!

This is easily one of the best outer tricep workouts. It's one of the few workouts I actually feel the burn on the outer tris
gotta love that this is a short. and it’s exactly what a youtube short should be. informative while short!
Asked me to rate this comment and checked every box!
Pause
this seems like bro advice but he’s actually 100% spot on listen to this dude
It only seems like bro advice if you’ve no idea what you’re doing. It’s basic technique to enable a larger range of motion & keep the tri’s engaged.
"No homo" 😂😂
😂😂😂
Bro i did this once not looking at the mirror, but when i did, i was so sus XDD

Thanks for the help. Yesterday was my first day at the gym and this helped me a lot as I'm just trying to understand how to use the equipment and all
You shouldn't be bent over that much doing triceps pull downs. Just hinge your waist
All using your body to push down
Forward lean, helps with serratus as well. Keeping the shoulders locked forward. Get a bit of lower chest action. I know this is all technically wrong, but I've switched up my technique over the years, and I've already built majority of my triceps.
Thank you man, could never tell if I was doing this right
I do it split stance, puts u in a better position to push heavier weight and you get full ROM
Is it called pull down or push down
Because you cannot push a rope, can you?
The cable attachment I use always hit my legs, once I started narrowing my foot stance and hinging more, it didn't hit my legs at all. Thanks for not letting me overlook this.
I was doing this exact form and a personal trainer in the gym told me i was going to do my back in but i've never felt back pain?? 😂
i did two sets and dont feel anything then i watched your video between sets. tried it and it feels so good 😂
Anybody know any dumbell alternatives to rope pulldowns or should I just replace them witha nother tricepexercise because I recently lost my gym membership

Solid and to the point. How it should be. Thx dude!
Y'all caught the negative on the Homer sexuality 😂 ?
Nice video. But could you do a 30sec video without 100 cuts next time?
Homophobia ain’t it. I’ll try someone else for tips

I watch this like once a week because I can’t for the life of me remember 😂
Thanks for the tips bro, w video
Is it bad if try is exercise hurts my elbows?
My trainer does it Upright 😅
this guy in the gym really telling me to stand straight and do tricep pushdowns, he said i'll "injure my spine"
Ive never done the lean. And I don't know if I've seen anyone do it.
I'm sure it works too tho
I do it standing straight with elbows tucked in not moving my elbows as little as possible, but holding it for 3 seconds and it burns and feels so good
Well I did three sets of bullshit then 💀
Why does my neck hurt??
I had to lower my usual weight while doing these. nice tips hits hards on the triceps

Yeah I’ve seen that method too, currently switching it up and that method youre talking about actually feels pretty good
U dont need to NH gym vids lol.
Wheres the triceps tho?? 🫠
I’ve been struggling with this. Glad to have teachers so widely available. Thank you!

Nice vid bro, definitely felt more burning doing it this way
Aint you supposed to have a 90* degree when you are releasing it (so like you have constant strain in your triceps)
lol I never feel it in my triceps, in fact I don’t feel it anywhere I just do it till I can’t lol
Thank you!!
