Something I’ve been worrying about is not living up to it, I was terrible last year and I have to do good this year. I’ll will definitely try these drills and try my hardest to live up to it. Great video
Nice man! Going to be using these today with my running backs. I am a former Dline coach going into my second year coaching Rb so always looking for good drills. I don't have any guys with super speed but got guys that run hard. Biggest issue I have is the stutter feet so going to use these drills to help with that. Good work!
Happy to help! These drills if done properly will help with eliminating wasted movement. Make sure they are doing these drills with little to no ball movement to get that ball security factor in too. #ballsecurityisjobsecurity
thank you so much for this. it’s my junior year and we have a lot of running backs on my team and i lost the battle for a varsity spot. i need to put in as much work as possible so i can prove myself either this year or get that spot my senior year. i need this.
GOD BLESS YOU brother man that’s a great practice video my son love football 🏈 but I just don’t have the resources to take him to a class but I see your videos and hope I can get does practice tools on Amazon thanks GOD BLESS YOU again
Hi I know I’m late but can you give me some calisthenics exercises I can do or just overall advice, I want to go from being a defensive end to runningback. At the moment I can only workout at home and don’t have that much equipment, can you give me some exercises that could help me or just overall advice on what I should work on?
W video i play football too i wanted to get more into youtube also and make videos like this , what did you use to hold your camera up and what camera do you use or is it phone
Hey yea nah your good I like questions . It works on a few things, ankle stability when playing on one leg, being reactive so soon as your foot touches earth your going back up, and the last part is a 2 step cross over to use in open space
What he said u need to be strong enough to do that if you put some time into strengtheining your knees to the point they can make quick cuts and decelerate and change without injuries also theirs lots of muscles that help with those so work on them so the load isn’t just on the knees
The first drill helps with lateral movements you do while running the ball like jump cutting/ making line backers miss. Also works on being explosive from the balls of your feet and changing your direction with speed and power.
Yo. I've been playing football for about 6 years, and I'm in middle school. I've played line my whole time in football but I've lost over 20 lbs and I'm looking to become runningback. I'm just curious would these drills still help a middle schooler? If so, could you maybe give me a little routine with these drills? I'm looking to pit in the work during the summer. Thank you👍
Yes these drills would be good for any age group. Hope you are able to transition well because it is very much possible . I played offensive line until I was 12z

Yup you're welcome bro!
GO GREEN GO WHITE
Sophomore RB here, how many times do u usually do these drills a week? I gotta grind to get ahead of the two older dudes ahead of me bro
As much as you can . Everyday.
What does the last drill help with, like the hopping? Just curious
Hey yea nah your good I like questions . It works on a few things, ankle stability when playing on one leg, being reactive so soon as your foot touches earth your going back up, and the last part is a 2 step cross over to use in open space
2:59 They do this to prevent knee injuries like ACL tears
That may be true. But you strengthen your leg muscles to be able to make that type of cut in game time situations.
What he said u need to be strong enough to do that if you put some time into strengtheining your knees to the point they can make quick cuts and decelerate and change without injuries also theirs lots of muscles that help with those so work on them so the load isn’t just on the knees
@@Messup7654 Yes. if the muscles around your knee aren't strong doing cuts like this can lead to injury.
@@AnthonyCarrie6 if you don't mind me asking, what type of workouts can strengthen my knees, cus my knees have been hurting for a while now
How tall are those hurdles in the first few drills?
They only usually come in one size
Can you drop more of this
What do you want to see next ?
@@AnthonyCarrie6 more postion drills or a change of direction work or something
Just curious I’ve mastered the 1st drill but what does it help with?
The first drill helps with lateral movements you do while running the ball like jump cutting/ making line backers miss. Also works on being explosive from the balls of your feet and changing your direction with speed and power.
@@AnthonyCarrie6 thank you!!!
great vid dawg 💯, question how many reps and sets should we do ?
You should do atleast 3 reps each side. but if you don't have something down don't move on stay on it until you get better
@@AnthonyCarrie6 aight thx man 🤞🏽

@@AnthonyCarrie6 Thank you man. I truly do appreciate it. Cya!
In the same situation but have always been undersized for an o lineman
How many times should you do each drill?
4 each way or until mastery.
@@AnthonyCarrie6 are there any knee strengthening exercises you do to prevent ACL tears when your jump cutting?
I'm from Houston I'm gonna use ya stuff let's work
Let me know how it works out !!
I will
Size hurdles?
Regular size training hurdles
That’s my RB💪 impressive stuff from you Scoota. Love the attitude and approach you have to the game of football💚🤍
I can't do the 3rd drill right, like my foot planting is wrong
Text my Instagram and show me @ant6ix
how do i know how many times to do this
like reps
Do it until you can't get it wrong. But per session you should do each drill each side like 4-8 times
if you wanna get shiftier work out w no cleats
Lol that's no so safe tho
