I really want to take this class, but I was afraid of just "following" steps to copy the author's work. Do you think you learned a lot? Do you feel like you could do something similar with your own characters?
This is an interesting question🤔. There was a lot of following the original, but I personally think that it was still a good way to learn. You can check out my animations uploaded after this video and see for yourself. Of course results will probably vary from person to person and I did have a bit of experience before taking this course.
@@kemadoan3d105 I hesitate with the "Cubic World" course of CG Boost where we have to make a scene from a movie that we like. So all the students' productions are different.
@@axel584 I didn't tak that one so I don't know, I guess it depends on what you're looking for; Alive is more focused on just animation and I think Cubic Worlds has some low poly modelling too.
Yeah I think it's perfect for beginners and the system requirements are to be able to install blender 4. I originally did the course on blender 3.5, but I don't know if it's still possible.
So I worked on it occasionally and did it in about half a year. A tip I would recommen if you are a little more advanced is to play the course at 2x speed, but only if you already know what the lessons are about. If I don't count the time in between then I would guess it took about 50 - 70 hours of work but it depends. Have a nice day👍
Wow great results man,
Only 24 views!? That's crazy, you deserve much better
Wow thank you so much :)
Awesome👍
Do you remember what version of Blender you used? Last time I checked the course was for Blender 2.9 but I think it has been updated to Blender 4.0

The course is mainly about animation, I think Pierrick has released a course on vfx, but it's in UE 5.
How long did it take for you to finish the whole course?
By that I mean weeks
