I´ve been looking for this song since 1979 (34 years). Finally found the name and the band. (Liquid Gold). My... my baby's baby .. . AWESOME .. LOVELY 70´S ..Woah, oh-oh..
I watched the 2018 docu about Studio 54. This song is in the movie and I had to use Shazam to find out who/what this track was because I'd never heard it before. I'm old, but I'm not old enough at 42 to remember anything that was put out when I was a baby so getting to discover all the music that was around when I was very small has been an absolute blast.
one of the greatest disco classic of 1979.they always played it at the inferno on 19th and 5th ave. when that record came on everybody was danceing like there was no tommorrow. thank uuu for the awsome days peace .papotee one.
One of my favourite songs by Liquid Gold! My sister Ellie Hope sang backing vocals on the Mud Rock II album tracks, Hula Love and Oh Boy. My sisters and I released a couple of solo singles in 1974/5 with Ellie, ( The Hope Sisters) one called "Tip of my Tongue" and ( the Stile/Davis track My Love Is Your Love) before she formed the band Liquid Gold in 1977, which she had a hit song with "Dance yourself Dizzy".
The beautiful Ellie Hope have this lovely and very special engaged intimate voice. It seems like the group had very fun at their performances. It would have been fun to be at their gigs. Life is short, it's about enjoying it.
Wonderful; Those disco beats and that thick disco bass line aren't to be confused with anything else: I close my eyes and it seems I'm right back in 1979, haha! (I've found my time machine.. ; - ) .
SanFrancisco & NYC '79/wow, cities played (on FM) longer version songs. The clubs in larger US cities and Europe always played the best music. Lotsa memories. Thanks for the tune.
I was living in Scarborough UK in late 1979 and this record was in my friends collection. I'd never heard it before, put it on the record player and was hooked. Great song. Gotta love that funky bass !
In Houston ,Texas-in the later 1970's a local radio station would play a 3-4 hour reel to reel tape mixed by one of the BEST DJ's - the one and only Frank Collins. We'd hear the music in the car on the way to the club-where Frank was one of the most excellent DJ's. Then he/they would play some of the same songs! It was fricking amazing..Those were the days. It'll NEVER be re-created : too much corporate / legal department bullshit concerns prevent that era from ever being revisited !!! People would be too paranoid with today's mentality !!!
1979... Recuerdo esa noche precisamente en Junio un amigo me llevo por primera vez a una fiesta Gay donde escuche esta rola me facino al momento que canta Love my Baby's Baby. El sonido de los violines wow. La llevo en mi mente.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ESTA CANCION ES DE 1978 O 1979, EN LOS 80 EL RITMO DISCO FUE DISMINUYENDO PARA DAR PASO AL NEW WAVE PERO CREO YO EL SENTIDO DANCE NUNCA SE DEJO DE LADO. LA GENTE SIEMPRE DICE MUSICA DE LOS 80S NO ESTA BIEN DICHO..EL DISCO SE VIVIO EN LOS 70S LA SEGUNDA MITAD DE ESA DECADA Y PUNTO... EN LOS 80S DISMINUYO EL ESTILO DISCO, NO DESAPARECIO DEL TODO.
