Thanks for watching!
These home videos age like wine.
Your dad was so ahead of his time man. A youtuber before youtube even existed. Legend.
man i didn't think of that ? that's so true... if he was alive i can see him doing retro videos on UA-cam
@dizzythakidd7350 I was wondering if he has passed, it's pretty amazing he gets to be remembered through these videos.
Your Dad really went above and beyond to get you the best, rare, unique games and systems. It's so awesome to watch. I notice that in a lot of your vids, getting the PlayStation early, GameCube japan edition. That's love a lot of us never got. Blessed!
The Turbografx 16 was always something of a mythical creature amongst my schoolyard friends - no one ever saw one, no one knew anyone who had one, no one ever played one, and we only knew of it from the ads we would see in comics and video game magazines of the time.
Used to see it on store displays and my jaw would drop when seeing the color palette. Even when competing with the Genesis and SNES and by then it had CD-Rom and rivaled those consoles graphically. The arcade ports were usually on par and in many cases better than the arcade.
This footage is awesome. I wasn't alive back then so I always wondered what it was like collecting early game consoles. Nice to see the Turbo Duo!
Heartwarming. Your production and editing is fabulous!
My stepbrother moved in around 1991. He got the TurboGrafx and got the Super Nintendo with Super Ghouls and Ghosts from Kmart.
FUN FACT: Galaga'90, released on Turbografx, was actually, originally called Galaga'88, released in Arcades.
Interesting fact. Tony Hawk worked on a few of these commercials for the system
Most parents use these games as a babysitter? Your dad really enjoyed them.
I had a Turbografx 16 when i was younger loved that system so much was super cool the games were like little bank cards never knew they came out with a Turboduo system that was pretty much the same thing..weird.Good vid by the way miss the old era of gaming systems
Getting a Duo and/or Sega CD to bridge 16 to 32 bit gap was actually much more fun and affordable than the "in between" systems like 3D0, 32X or Jaguar. The games were hard to find sometimes but not yet expensive collector prices. It was really just getting Duo or Sega CD hardware new or used right after the hardware price crashed. They also just had better game libraries than any of those, although Duo kind of required imports to get the best.
What killed the TG-16 for me was NEC deciding not to make the consoles design extremely small like the PC Engine was. I wouldve rather imported a PC Engine instead of getting a TG.
Well, supposedly we have the FCC to thank for that. But it was a great console.
What an awesome childhood! We werent able to afford anything further than the NES but I managed to experience the Genesis and Playstation generations vicariously through my friends.
We never got this in the UK. But it was always shown in our gaming magazines, maybe hoping it would be released in the UK eventually.
I’ve played emulators of it and really amazed how great the console was.
Awesome video. Super star soldier was awesome, but cosmic fantasy 2 was my favorite tg16 cd game. Still have my original cd in box.
I love your videos!! I get emotional watching them but i love the nostalgia and the love how close your family was. I wish mine was as close as we got older. God bless 💯
SEGA... CD-ROOOOM!
had a tg16 and a turbo express later on. so cool
But....do you still have any of that stuff in the present day????
he sold his and his dads whole collection so he could feel alive again i guess it made him depressed looking at it
@@dizzythakidd7350 thats crazy. hope he made a haul
Man I wanna play Metal Slug!
I'm playing bonk now, my boys hate it when I turn it on😂😂
The music in those games is so iconic.
The TurboGrafx-16 will always be my favorite system. Just got the mini version from Konami. Sapphire Rocks!!! I miss Gate Of Thunder and Legendary Axe.
Anyone know what game that song is from that plays in the background?
I like how your mom said at 6:10 "Keep looking in the box," and I'm like "No! Go back to Tonma!"
Crazy rare!
It is, but Dynastic Hero was in the box too!
love this series. thanks!
Analogue brought me here
Wow i am jelaous.
