Before anyone mentions it, this script was finalized before the release of MK1. So remember that context for some of the things I mention. Also, thank you all for clearing up the Johnny getting shot in the leg bit. Don't know why my brain struggled to wrap my head around only the past characters effect the future ones and the Elder God stuff haha. Oops.

19:00 The rule isn't that "What happens to one version of a character happens to the other", it's "any pain done to the past version of a character is inflicted as well onto the present version". So if PAST Johnny got shot in the knee, Present Johnny would get the wound too. If PRESENT Johnny got shot first, Past Johnny would be fine. Same with if Present Johnny died. Past Johnny would still be around.
21:34 The PRESENT Elder Gods are dead. Why would the universe immediately end? It's just thrown into chaos. If the PAST Elder Gods were killed, THEN the present timeline would most likely be destroyed.
NRS follows their rules just fine. I just don't think YOU understand them. That's not the game's fault.

I agree on the first point but only half way on the second. Why would the Elder Gods dying affect the universe AT ALL. When a painter dies, all their paintings don’t suddenly burst into flames. Creations outlast their creators all the time.

I know I said this during MK9, but man, it is SO refreshing seeing a video talking about what this game does good rather than it getting completely nitpicked to death.

You see, You're actually incorrect about past Johnny's knee not being injured. Because the future version of him got shot, only the future version has the wound. If the past version did, both would have the injury. That is because, when the past Johnny get's shot in the cheek, it scars over on the future one because the future one would also have the scar. However, since the future one is the older version, his wounds don't affect past Johnny.

I just bought MK11 and Injustice 2 recently, my first time playing these, what a great time for this video, anyway i love the positivity of this channel, so wholesome.
I like how if you win 2-0 against kronika you get kitana and liu kang ending, 2-1 you get raiden, and if you lose she wins if I remember right, like erases you from time or something
And if I remember she also oy changes the background after winning a round, like she gets the upper hand while you recover and uses it to go back in time further
I lost and i thought the cutscene at the end was how the game ends😂 she drops LK to his knees and beheads him
OK, for a time travel stuff, if I remember correctly, if you mess up something in the past, it affects your present, but if you mess it up in the present it has no effect on the past hands, hence why everyone didn’t just instantly die when the elder gods are killed

The win n° 121/122 is kinda incorrect, Past Johnny didn't get shot so he wouldn't have a scar (one only affects the other if the one that got hit was the past one, since it doesn't make sense if killing the future version to affect the past one)

Actually Geras is the name of a son of Nyx in Greek mythology he represents old age like most of Nyx’s children and herself Hollywood doesn’t bother with them much which is a shame really
It really fits MK11 Geras since he’s the servant of Kronika and consequently the second oldest being in existence

It’s so funny how many of your gameplay suggestions are put into MK1 like with the horde fight idea and the less moves available at the beginning of the game.
My ranking for these was MK9,11,X and I get the new MK on Friday (hopefully) and I pray it’s good I’ve avoided spoilers so far so I’m excited

I don't know if I'm confused or not. But how on Earth would young Johnny have a scar on his knee? If the older version of him got hurt, scars don't travel back in time.
Yea if the older version gets wounded nothing would happen, only in death the young versions will be affected

Quick correction since I don't know if anyone has done it yet but only stuff that happens to the past character will affect the present character. That's why present Johnny got a scar on his cheek and the blood inside Present Kano's eye was black and clotted

When future Johnny gets shot in the leg, past Johnny wouldn't be affected as the wound happened in the future while the cheek scar past Johnny gets passed onto future Johnny as it (technically) happened in the past and therefore is shown on both Johnny's
Geras in ancient greek myths is able to wrestle Hercules to a draw, so it makes sense that he is Kronika's muscle.
Speaking of, some of the ideas you mentioned acctually carried over to MK12... or MK1. I'm acctually happy with some of the carry overs.

This was a crazy story from beginning to end.
The twist with the Multiverse, bringing past characters into the present, was an surprising effect. I also liked how they used Kronika, a new character, to explain rebooting the games/universe.
Also, maybe this is just me, but I feel like this might've been the best MK roster ever. Yes, Ronda Rousey as Sonya Blade wasn't perfect at all, but she worked well within the parameters she was given.
I really liked the story and character arcs throughout in both the main and Aftermath stories.
I feel like we didn't get enough characters for this game. This is my absolute favorite engine for a mortal kombat. I think it's perfect for new players and old, simple but hard at the same time. I just wish we got more characters
I think the time travel shenanigans work off the looper rules if present and past you are in the same time frame but when past you is hurt that becomes part of your past and shows up in the future but it’s a one way street

Hey is a video for "EVERYTHING GREAT ABOUT HIGH ON LIFE" somewhere down the line?
Just a little particular if no one has already said so. It's not that when something happens to one, happens to the other, after win 120 when the older jonny cage is shot, there is no sign on the other cause only what happens to the past selfs reflects onto the present self, ehich is why both Kano's die, and both jonny's have the scar, but only present/future jonny is the only one with a bullet wound on the knee.

Also i see your point about the redesign but my issue is just how much younger MK11 Cassie looks and sounds vs MKX cassie. This is suppose to be an even older version of the character and she looked properly mature in MKX but MK11's cassie looks like she got her drivers license last week.
I don't think that Older johnny getting shot not impacting younger johnny is breaking their rules. Given how it's used i am pretty sure that it shows that the impact is entirely 1 way. Key actions against the younger/Past self impacts the older like Johnny now having a scar or Kano's double death. Remember that it's because of Raiden's status as a demi-god that is why his older self can't exist sense his powers and his position as a key shaper of events are why the two cannot co-exist. He cannot become dark raiden if he's shifted through time because that shift could cause him to not become Dark Raiden. Hense why Cassie would die if either past Sonya and Johnny die. Also the elder gods are the Creators, not the Maintainers. That's always been something people really don't get. Creator gods only take the universe with them If their Existence is tied to that universe in a blatant way. Simply creating it does not mean their deaths would impact their creation.
I get wrapping aftermath quick but i am surprised you didn't bring up that depending on if you actually beat Kronika with 1 loss or 0 losses changes the base game ending.
I feel like we got cheated with Sektor and Cyrax not being made playable, but having to fight them in story mode.

A couple things about the past future stuff
1. Kombat with young johnny and old johnny wouldn't damage the old one in the future because you wouldn't feel a punch 20 years later. This makes the Kano fight stupid I know.
2.the elder gods being dead wouldn't change anything cause it would be as if parents died after the baby was born. That doesn't mean baby just dies

It would be cool to see more Zelda, or just Nintendo in general. I find that more often than not nintendo throws games with amazing stories out every year, and games like Okami for example, is beautiful in comparison to how they made like Mario Galaxy. The art style is so different that it doesn't feel like it should be on the same console.
Games with longer story, like Xenoblade, or something short like Kirby would be a good recommendation too. Xenoblade has some of the best ost I've ever heard, and the storyline continues over 6 games, but it's pretty easy to follow. Kirby is just a fun little guy that has such deep lore if you want to dive into it.
I was hoping those Transformers jokes were subtle foreshadowing to GamingWins doing the War For Cybertron games.
But Activision refuses to touch them for some reason.

The elder gods being dead means nothing when they already created the universe. The reason young johnny and young sonya dying matters is because they didn't have Cassie yet. The Elder Gods are in the present and from the present. They aren't from the past. I don't see how that's so hard to understand.
Imagine continuously recreating your biggest problem billions of times in order to get the outcome you want or hoping that the problem will change if they were in the right situation?

Old Johnny getting shot in the leg wouldnt effect young Johnny because it hasnt happened to him yet. However, if the past ones are injured it affects the future ones because its happened to them. Hence why Johnny getting shot didnt make current Johnny bleed, it just gave him a scar because it wouldve been like 20 years prior. If this all makes sense to y'all

Honestly seeing Raiden give his god title to Liu Kang literally brought a tear to my eye. Truly felt like the end of an era but a damn good ending. While I wish other characters where in MK11,it truly had a fantastic story and definitely went above and beyond my expectations becuase I was expecting a Deadly Alliance story but I like where it went in the end.
It could've been cool. But Kronika's existence takes away any enjoyment I could've had for the story.
@sinistralhydra I mean, I won't say that is what makes her a good villain because, to be fair,it was pretty standard for her villain wise. Former elder God gets killed in MKX, so what should happen in MK11? Of course, a stupidly overpowered foe who NEVER appeared before makes her entrance. Plus, she was more of a background villain than anything, in my opinion.
Literally the best part of the story alongside subzero and scorpion teaming up and raiden vs liu kang in multiple timelines, those are in my opinion are the best parts of mk11 story not counting the entirety of aftermath

Couple things 1. I know others are gonna say this but just to reiterate, cross version damage only tracks if it was done to the past version that’s time travel 101 and 2. A. The elder gods don’t hold up the universe with their existence the just rule over it and B technically speaking the elders gods didn’t create the universe it was created by the one being when he was killed and torn apart and this pieces later formed the realms on their own
So the rule of time travel that’s established is that the past impacts the future, not the other way around. Future Johnny getting shot in the leg wouldn’t have any affect on past Johnny because of the chain of events connecting them. It’s like expecting someone to get a bruise prior to getting punched.
And the Elder gods don’t hold the universe together, so killing them wouldn’t destroy the universe. And if it’s arguing that they made the universe so killing then erases that, it doesn’t work like that. That’s like saying killing a painter erases all their prior paintings from existence.

To be honest though, I see Aftermath as a bad story telling compared to the main MK11 story.
