I won 3 games already and I have no clue what I’m doing. But it’s working 😎. I watched this video and now that I understand I can’t seem to win anymore. 🤷
When I first came across the Orlog game in Norway I thought to myself "no way in hell I'm going to play this" I've now put more hours into Orlog than the single player campaign.
Same. I thought I hated it at first because I had such a hard time understanding it. Now I absolutely adore this game and I play it whenever I come across an NPC near a board. Almost defeated all of the players. I hear there's an actual Orlog game you can buy now but I'd much rather build my own game set from scratch and etch my own symbols on the God Favors and dice. Initially, I focused too much on attack strategies, which will get you defeated real fast if that's all you focus on. Attacks are normally used by me out of chance on the final roll or if I can get a God Favor out of it, and instead I focus on blocking when I need to and stealing God Favors from the opponent. Not to mention there's some luck that comes with this game and it's not just all skill so I never really get upset when I lose. Sometimes it's just the way the dice fall.
If I can give any advice for people trying to beat each Orlog player, hoard your god tokens. This is a battle of attrition, keep stealing, and keep defending/doing chip damage. You’re playing AI, they only do really game changing maneuvers if they’re low of health. So try and get in range of your max god totem damage, tier 3 does 8 damage. You can sweep a game so easily. This strategy has me beating each player the first or second try.
Im curious how they are going to compensate the rng of the god token rolls. I'm guessing (before looking it up) there would be a seperate dice to dictate the number of tokens per round?
My friends: have you done the final story quest yet dude? Me: Nope Friends: then what are you doing Me: playing orlog & raiding for upgrades My friends: this is your first assassins creed game and your more interested in orlog?!
yep, this was my first orlog play where I had to really think about my defence :D before it was just attack and god favours But after beating that the favour is yours and you destroy everyone with it
Are people really having so much trouble with this game? I figured it out after playing about 3 rounds of one match. It’s really fun messing around with different strategies and collecting new god favors as you beat new opponents!
Shields block axe attacks and helmets block arrows. Would have thought it'd be the other way around, but anyhow. Apart from keeping that in mind, get as many tokens as you can and smash the God favours. I didn't understand this game at first but I'm enjoying it now and have beaten everyone so far :) It's a great strategy game, I like it.
Always choose the dice that give you favour tokens (either with the dashed border or the stealing hand), gather as much as you can and use Thor's Strike.
this is going to sound dumb, especially after all the videos including the awesome stuff you can do in this game, but this is the guide I've been waiting for 😅 great video, dude
Tip for victory: choose only gold ones when possible, and many hands. Several of the golds will be shields and helmets, which will defend against some enemy damage. Get tokens fast and unleash a full power thor and later a second to full power. After that, kill them off with his weakest strike or even a weapon attack. Works a large amount of the time. Focus on tokens and a little defense, attack with thor who cannot be blocked
Screenshotted.. only tried the game once and lost in fornburg. But looking into it now.. still only completed one story arc main game but im try 100% an area as i go.. that means winning dtinking n orlog too Thanks for the tip! Its a fun game to drink with a brew
Thank you! The resolution was confusing the hell out of me. I think what makes it confusing is that it's not clear that the entirety of the attacking player's damage is resolved before the defender. So, you're essentially trading a single blow against each other per round.
Anyone ever hear about the old board game 'Heroscape'? The orlog dice and a set of five specialized dice make me think the two are connected - three dice surfaces hold an attack face, two a defense, and the third a symbol of a general
Looked for this because I needed to get thor's cape and one of them in terms of clues required you to have beaten for one of them the orlog champion or the drinking champion.
Well me to. Wanted to make it as christmas present. BUT I have one big problem! How the hell am I gonna know what the exact dice Layout is? You would need at least 12 dice, casue there is the gods favor with 1 extra dice. But what dice would that be? So actually you would need at least 20 dice right? And what is the layout of a dice? Are they all the same? Where do you put the gods favor points? So many questions...
@@erikderfreak just assuming myself but I think the dice are 2 defense 2 attack 2 thief 12 dice with a thief with token and thief w/o token 6 dice with tokens on attack and 6 with tokens on defense. Again I’m just guessing. I personally haven’t seen any god favors that grant extra dice yet, so probably 6 more just for GP 18 dice total.
Your statement sounded like Squidward during the “night shift” episode. “If that was you on the phone, and you in the bus? Then who was flickering off the lights?” 😂😂😂
Ubisoft must have really been happy with this mini game to force everyone to play it in order to progress. I’ve never played any mini games in any AAA title and now I have to to complete the game. It’s easily the single most difficult aspect of the game and I max level. Still haven’t won a single game. In a couple days I’ll just give up the game entirely without completing it. I’ll just play Cyberpunk instead
Shawn, focus on getting God Favor tokens. Because we all get the Thor idol you can pretty much just ignore any real strategy and just stack up tokens and use the boon. Should net you a win every time.
@@LegacyGamingUS I beat her effing finally. She kept rolling miracles. I had her 8-1 and she rolled 5 bordered God Favor steals got 12 tokens and used the boon to wipe my final 8hp and beat me. This is only partially a strategy game. RNG plays a part.
