I think the Elvis in Memphis will be awesome. ♥️ The Warren Zevon album is also very cool. Thanks for another MoFi Minute. 😃 Have a great weekend Nick!
The only thing that would get me to buy more one steps or any MFSL at this point would be if they started to pressing more modern albums that I really want. Beck, Radiohead, the national, war on drugs... now that we know there is a digital step anyway, I’m hoping it opens up the opportunity to move past the 70s.
Excited to see from Elvis in Memphis being realised as a one step I have the original From Elvis in Memphis in near mint condition released by MoFi in 1981 and it is cut from the original analog tapes. It will be interesting to see if this version sounds a lot better or not or totally different since it is made from the digital files . Thank you very much for the latest update cheers Carl .
I'm gonna pass on those one steps. I have a reissue of Elvis is in memphis already. I still like Mofi but not interested in One Steps for 125. The one I was sort of interested in was Bitches Brew and Sketches of Spain, BUT they just reissued the 33 on Mofi website for a lot less money and I got that instead. I am def more into the NON one step titles
For sure on Bill Withers-Still Bill. One the fence about Warren Zevon. Gonna pass on Paul Simon and Elvis Presley. The 2013 RSD LP cut by Ryan K. Smith is excellent and so is the Speakers Corner From Elvis In Memphis, so I'll just stick with those
Buying one steps from Canada is now just too much. It’s almost $200 when all is said and done. I can get out the door with an OMR for less than half of that. Will be getting the Withers and Zevon titles for sure.
Not excited about the one-steps, however, those two really needed to get released. Feels like those were two announced in that batch all the way back in the summer of 2020. Get them out of the way so the focus can be shifted.
Nothing I'm excited about. I would love to see MOFI get some different types of titles. Seems like they are stuck in the 60s and 70s era music. Except for the Van Halen stuff...which really only became available after Eddie died. I would love to see them go after some 90s and 00s stuff. I know its all digital but does that really matter anymore?
MOFI’s strategy of putting out SO MANY one steps seems like a big misstep (no pun intended), especially with the titles that have regular releases as well. I think they really overestimated the demand due to greed and short-sightedness.
Hate to say it but none of these titles excite me, but I get it, they can’t release all their heavy hitters at once. So…. Still waiting on Van Halen and The Eagles… Does anyone know if MoFi’s own pressing plant has gone live yet?
No interest in 99% of the mofi/one step stuff. Most of the titles are bands I'd barely need a greatest hits album. How about some harder to find lesser known titles. Post punk stuff, rare jazz gems. Anything other than big selling 70s acts.
Got the There Goes Rhymin' Simon One Step on pre-order as well as the Bill Withers Still Bill. No interest in the Elvis One-Step and tepid interest in the Warren Zevon (never much of a fan).
Hi Nick,
Awesome video! Thank you
Elvis album is awesome!
It is one of my favorite.
Great album
I have the MoFi first run of the Elvis one from years ago. It sounds great. I can't wait to hear how the 1 Step sounds, bet it's going to be great.

Thanks melinda! Excited to get some fresh stuff!!
I’m totally done with the one step records, but will consider regular MOFI pressings if they get better titles
Yeah seems like everyones back to the regular releases!
I ordered the Elvis one step so I can't wait.

Sounds like you had a few beers while filming. Pass on Eldorado, have the 33. May get the Paul Simon.
Any idea when MOFIs new pressing plant will open?

FROM ELVIS IN MEMPHIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST ALBUMS EVER RELEASED PERIOD!!! PEOPLE SHOULD BE THRILLED THAT THIS IS COMING OUT!!!

I have Elvis in the mofi from the 80s..I will get the one step
I have the Paul Simon Rhymin' title on pre-order with MD, so I hope it is that one (would have preferred HC of course!)

Couldnt agree more!!

Sorry but I'm still not forgiving MFSL. I do want One of These Nights and Hotel California but I can't go for that no can do...

I felt like the 1 step titles were disapointing as well.
Their pressing plant is not done yet. Summer is what i last heard.
I have to OG's of the Paul Simon I don't listen to that much so I will pass on the One Step

Yeah kind of different titles. But they cannot all be monsters.
