I have a 2 year degree, and I recently enrolled at Purdue in pursuit of my Bachelor of Science degree via the ExcelTrack route. Purdue accepted approximately 96 of my transfer credits. My advisor stated that I can easily have my degree in as little as 6 months. She stated that it will take a lot of writing of papers on my part. I would say that I am a skilled writer, and that I can put together content in a pretty fast manner. Do you think that my advisor was accurate in her assessment that I can earn my degree that quickly? Thank you, and I love your content
@@dominiqued.4114 I have absolutely no complaints. I am in ExcelTrack, and in less than a month I went from 89 credits (transferred from another college), to 140 credits. I put about 8 hours a day into my classes though. Nonetheless, I will graduate with my bachelor’s in one more month maximum. Purdue Global only offers one master’s degree in ExcelTrack, but they do have others in traditional format. My advisor Yolanda is in constant contact with me and answers my questions very promptly. When it comes to ExcelTrack it is extremely extremely writing intensive. Writing is all you do, and if they paper is not borderline perfect, they will send it back to you. There is no grade lower than a “B” in ExcelTrack, with the exception of if by the end of the quarter you either did not resubmit assignments or did not submit assignments at all, then you will receive an “F”. I currently have a 4.0 GPA, but again, my achievements are due to the ridiculous hours I am putting in. I say go for it! Another option is WGU. All of their programs are comparable to ExcelTrack in that it is mostly competency based and working at your own pace. Some of the master’s programs can be complete in less than a year for students that already have a bachelor’s degree. On their website they note how long it takes the average person to complete the program. As with PGU, you pay one flat fee every quarter and you can take as many classes as you are able to handle.
@@whiskeyrock73 I am currently enrolled at PUG. I am approaching 4 weeks into the quarter. I transferred with approximately 80ish credits, and in 4 weeks I have a total of about 144 credits. Thank you for the information. I'm considering PG for a Masters in Psychology/Addiction Counseling. Do you have any information with regards to that program in particular?
Purdue University is ranked 43rd, not PUG. There is a distinction between the two and the way courses are run is totally different. Purdue’s rep comes in the STEM fields, which (even when offered by PUG) PUG has nowhere near the same rep.
@@carlosabreu2829 Not sure which of their programs you might be referring to, but we're specifically talking about their ExcelTrack degrees, which are work at your own pace and do not limit the number of classes you can work through in a term.
I keep getting information about full degree programs, but what about certificates? I was looking at PUG’s Data Analytics certificate program and I keep finding information about PUG being a scam. Supposedly the program is in conjunction with SimpliLearn (another program viewed as a scam) and IBM (which is most definitely not a scam), so I’m not sure what to think.
College certificates are not as meaningful as certifications from industry giants like IBM or Google-unless they plug directly into a bachelor’s program and are being used as a soft entry point.
Purdue University owns Purdue Global but they are separate. Diplomas from Purdue Global include the word global. Although they dont advertise it, Purdue Global offers a significant discount to Indiana residents.
what about (NDSU) North Dakota State University? I saw their programs have cool degrees like Engineering which I like because other online colleges don't have it, even TESU only have Engineernig Technology.
Engineering is a tough major to hack, especially if the program is ABET accredited. Typically those classes and their prereqs have to be taken through a school and can’t be hacked. But if your longterm goal requires ABET, then it’s worth it.

I'm looking at doing a BS in Communications and Purdue is one of only a few schools with a BS not a BA in communications. Curious what I'm looking at time investment wise and cost wise. I figure I'll probably spend 5-10 hours a day on school.
$371 per credit, need at least 45 credits (180 credits in a quarter hour system bachelors), so at least ~$17k. If that’s the degree you want and that’s worth it to you, awesome! But consider that UMPI’s Communications degree is $5,500 :) Is the BS vs. BA worth $11.5k to you? I can virtually promise it isn’t to anyone else 😜
Working adult from California coniderijg pursuing law, i see that PUG is accepted for taking the BAR here in my state. Would you recommend this as a starting path for pursuing law as a career?
Sure! Most regionally accredited schools will work just fine for law school. The other parts of your application, mainly LSAT score, play a much bigger role in acceptance decisions.
They aren’t super hackable, but PUGs nutrition degree (non-ExcelTrack) is one of the few NANP approved ones we know of that still accepts Sophia/Study.

The review makes several references to Purdue, such as being ranked #43 in USN&WR. That is a different university in the same system. It would be something like reviewing UNC-Pembroke and citing UNC-Chapel Hill's USN&WR ranking.
@@CollegeHacked The Purdue University system has about five campuses. The main Purdue, the one that is ranked #43, is by far the largest and most important. But for example, Purdue University Northwest's mascot is the Lions, not the Boilermakers. They are different universities in the same system. Purdue University Global is like that, part of the Purdue system, not part of the #43 Purdue itself. The UNC-Chapel Hill / UNC-Pembroke analogy isn't perfect because the Purdue system is smaller than the UNC system and more built around the main campus. Maybe a better analogy would be LSU-Baton Rouge vs LSU-Shreveport. But for instance, if you are accepted to PUG, you can't decide to instead take all of your classes on the Purdue campus as an in-person student. You would need to apply to Purdue and be accepted. Also, the degree requirements are different - I don't mean just a difference in format or possibly difficulty, they are actually different classes. They are accredited as separate universities. The chancellor of Purdue is not the chancellor of Purdue University Global. They are different people in different jobs. Etc. In other words, it is not like Penn State where their Global campus is the same Penn State with a different delivery format. It is literally a different (albeit related in the sense of being part of the same system) university. Someone who goes to LSU-Shreveport and simply lists it as "LSU" on their resume, or someone who goes to UNC-Pembroke and simply lists it as "UNC", or someone who goes to PUG and simply lists it as "Purdue" ... or in some other way tries to pass of the actual university attended with the more prestigious related university (eg during the interview refers to "when I was a student at Purdue" in a deceptive way) ... is playing with fire.
@@wombat-ut4hlHi, I was interested in Purdue, basically for the price andd facilities. But you've mentioned that its not the same university online that on campus. So, PennState it is, cause I was considering both of them. What do you think? Cause PennState also has a good ranking in university rankings? Would my diploma be the same as on campus?
@@aminadabcruz With Penn State, yes, your diploma would be the same. Admissions requirements are also the same (more stringent than Purdue Global). And, tuition costs are a lot different than Purdue Global. Just be aware of all of that. It depends what your goals and budget are. Penn State is a great school, as is Purdue main campus. I'm not saying Purdue Global isn't the right choice for anybody. Just that I personally don't prefer it, because I think its main value is based on knowing people will misunderstand the name. I don't like the idea of how different the perception might be, with someone who doesn't know the difference thinking I went to a rigorous school, someone who does know the difference knowing what it really is, and someone who went to Purdue main campus maybe having a scornful or angry reaction. I wouldn't want to always be explaining it or unsure how it's perceived. I really think the Purdue system should have given this more thought, because nationally, it's pretty unknown that Purdue is a system and not a single. university. It even fooled this channel initially. I don't know the Indiana public university politics enough to know why they didn't make it Indiana University Global Campus. That would be more clear, since everybody understands that Indiana University is a system with multiple campuses. If you like the cost and general structure of Purdue Global, I would look at options such as the University of Maine at Presque Isle. That is a real state university campus, though not the flagship campus, as the name makes obvious. Just my opinion! Good luck.
looks like it could turn out cheaper than wgu if done right. i imagine it depends on the nursing degree specialty, if it's master level or bachelor's, and the number of credits you can transfer it.
@@malcolmjelani3588 until you’ve spent thousands of dollars and hours to get a degree that doesn’t actually get you where you want to be. That’s certainly an issue.
I went here for an associates degree in IT with a focus in software development. Its a scam for real. There's better content free on youtube. They will teach you html from the 2000's no mention of js node which is unforgivable. The graphic design course used GIMP 2014! So far below industry standard why not just fire up paint 95? But they still charged a resource fee for the class somehow for the free program. I graduated but I would say my money 30,000$ over 2 years would have been better spent elsewhere. Also they still send me emails asking me to donate money to them. I've heard the legal and nursing programs are legit thogh.
You hit the nail on the head, it’s all about use-case. For someone who just needs the piece of paper, it can be a good option. For someone trying to learn what is needed to be effective in industry, not so much. But major makes a big difference too! Like you said, some of their degrees are high quality. We generally get the cost down to $11k for a fully hacked degree from them, so it’s a more worthwhile investment at that price point. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience!
I was wanting to go to umpi but the wife’s job will cover 100% of my tuition if I go to Purdue global I’ll have over 90 credits to transfer from Sophia and google certs. Should I get a free education or a faster one?
They host ceremonies at various locations including the Purdue Main Campus in West Lafayette. Naturally it’s a different ceremony from those who earned a diploma from Purdue proper as the two aren’t even remotely on the same playing field, but there is a ceremony.
Just added it to the list. We’ve had a number of people ask for it now, and they do have great transfer charts and articulation agreements. It looks like a good option from my cursory glance.
Holy $hi+, ßitch€$!!! Cliff finally reviewed PUG! :D In seriousness though, when I was giving them a look-over, I wasn’t crazy about the fact that they have IT degrees in general, yet also no dedicated CS degrees (something that both WGU and TESU offer, the former now also featuring ABET program accreditation). Still, boss uploading! :D

I think in your situation, it’s still a good school to go to. :) It all depends on where you’re located and what degree you’re getting. If it’s a tech degree, Purdue is a good school. If it’s business, try UMPI instead (they don’t offer tech degrees like Purdue does).
@@CollegeHacked thanks, I'll consider my options 👍
Bro can you cover the University of Florida online next? I am considering that Uni.
Unfortunately they are not hackable 👎🏼
Can you do a video on Texas A&M University-Commerce? I am really thinking about finishing my bachelors there as they have already accepted 80 credits of mine from previous college work and Sophia. It may also be a good school for many other people who do not know about it.
It’s on the list! 😄
Hello, I'm planning to get CBE Safety and Health but I'm ESL don't know if I'll make it, just working on my GED,.
Did you have to verify if you were able to transfer the credits? Additionally, what degree did you apply for? I am based in Texas and I would like to look further into this please and thank you!
It's odd to me that outside of Reddit I can't find at least 10 videos of students giving their stories and experiences both good and bad. They don't allow comments on their social media sites either unless it's praise. Thanks for making this video. I will be transferring my credit from Sophia to complete my CS degree.
Interesting! Thanks for pointing this out. They aren’t a perfect school, but we’ve had clients happily finish at PUG. You got this!
Thank you! Do you also have info on Purdue Daniels School of Business for online MBAs?
That’s the real Purdue, which isn’t hackable, so we do not 👎🏼
@CollegeHacked .... Can you do a video on which schools offer the easiest pathway to a bachelor's Degree for those people who struggle with Math?
Enroll in courses through Sophia and transfer your credits to UMPI. Sophia's exams are open book and unproctored, allowing you to use an online calculator to successfully complete the necessary MAT classes.
Do your math on Sophia.
Dennis said it beautifully 😊
@@CollegeHacked .... thank you both for the feedback. Math feels like the biggest obstacle by far to a college degree. I will definitely check it out. I really think a video on the topic would help a lot of people.

Thanks for watching, glad you’re enjoying the content! It’s definitely possible, just lots of writing papers, like she said! 📝
Did you start with PUG? If so, how are you feeling about it? How is the writing situation?
I am considering PUG right now for my Masters online. How has your experience been thus far?
I love it. But I do not stop. I am putting in 8 to 12 hours a day. Thankfully, I am not having to work, so I am able to commit a great deal of time to it. Some days I overdo it and get mentally and physically exhausted, but I am eager to get it over with. I’m almost 43, and enough is enough lol
🌹💙 Could you tell me whether or not you can transfer in CLEP, Sophia etc., “AFTER” you enroll at Purdue Global, or are you only allowed to transfer in credits before you enroll? TY for any help. 🙏
After is ok at PUG
@ 🌹💙 I’m grateful for you taking the time. I’m a much older adult seeking a bachelor’s degree quickly within reason but also as least expensive at the same time. 🙏
I graduated from SNHU with BS…
Now decided to go to PUG- excel MBA. I think really- you have to put in the work to be “challenged” also .. lol maybe life is just so dang stressful that doing homework is easy lol
What you think about PUG MBA?
We’ve heard good things about it! It sounds like you’ve had an easy time so far?
@@CollegeHacked great.
I have not started yet, I start April 6. However- I have looked over some videos and whatnot. Most say the same about the PUG process
You get what you put into any education no matter where you go!!!
Indeed, but the program itself matters too
Purdue is great! I’m graduating this year BA under 2 years. People who are saying it’s not challenging are not really challenging themselves.
Excellent work 🤩 And thanks for sharing your experience!
Does it make you take test with a camera watching you??
How did you get it under 2 years?
Graduating in finance in couple months. Severely rigorous. Too much information and reading for many to handle especially if you’re working. The teachers in finance are amazing though. All CFA, CFA, CPA that also teach at top universities
Could you make a video on getting a Bachelors through the uber ASU partnership?
ASU doesn’t accept ACE forms of hacking credit, so you can do CLEP exams but that’s pretty much it for outside hacking platforms
Hey international student over here!!! Loved watching your videos just found out about online schooling a couple ago and thinking of signing up for Purdue global for a BSc in cyber security. Would it be better accepted when I apply for grad schools in Canada for further studies or am I better off going to the in person school here in Bangladesh. I had previously attended the university of Alberta but dropped out due to personal circumstances.
I have an aa from a college and a few classes from university. My company offers tuition reimbursement but they do have a program with purdue global. So I'm grateful for this information. I think I'll do the consult just to sit down and understand what i have and what is the best way forward.
We’d love to help!
So the final test you could call it. Is just an essay your write in your time and just have to make a passing rate to pass the class. No final test?
Correct 😄
Can you do Wilmington University & U Mass Global ??
UMass Global is on the list! :)
Thank you for the information. I'm considering PG for a Masters in Psychology/Addiction Counseling. Do you have any information with regards to that program in particular?
Haven’t had anyone go through that one!
Go for it; these losers are complaining and they don't have degrees like we do.
Purdue University is ranked 43rd, not PUG. There is a distinction between the two and the way courses are run is totally different. Purdue’s rep comes in the STEM fields, which (even when offered by PUG) PUG has nowhere near the same rep.
Does PUG limit how many classes you can do?
Nope!
@@CollegeHackedyes they do. Only two courses per term
@@carlosabreu2829 Not sure which of their programs you might be referring to, but we're specifically talking about their ExcelTrack degrees, which are work at your own pace and do not limit the number of classes you can work through in a term.
@@carlosabreu2829I did 3 per term which is max if you have a certain gpa
Discounts for international students too! Pretty cool
@@CollegeHackedCan you please tell us how much discount for international students
@@CollegeHackedcan you do a video for the best schools for international students online?
what about (NDSU) North Dakota State University?
I saw their programs have cool degrees like Engineering
which I like because other online colleges don't have it, even TESU only have Engineernig Technology.
Engineering is a tough major to hack, especially if the program is ABET accredited. Typically those classes and their prereqs have to be taken through a school and can’t be hacked. But if your longterm goal requires ABET, then it’s worth it.
Hey, you told there are weird requirements to join PURDUE.
I am from INDIA, and don't have any degree and work experience, I am 17 and just finished my high school and planning to get a bachelors degree. Am I eligible? It would be really great if you could share some details
If you have no work experience yet, there are better schools for you than Purdue!
Did my excel track degree in 2019. Graduated MCL in 10 months for $8k. I’m not complaining. Took long nights and discipline, but time is money!
🎉👏🏼
Thanks for this breakdown
How will you recommend PG vs WGU in cybersecurity domain
For knowledge, WGU. For speed, PG.

Usually not, but you can apply for free and find out!
Working adult from California coniderijg pursuing law, i see that PUG is accepted for taking the BAR here in my state. Would you recommend this as a starting path for pursuing law as a career?
Sure! Most regionally accredited schools will work just fine for law school. The other parts of your application, mainly LSAT score, play a much bigger role in acceptance decisions.
can you talk about nutrition degree or health and wellness degrees ? thank you so much
They aren’t super hackable, but PUGs nutrition degree (non-ExcelTrack) is one of the few NANP approved ones we know of that still accepts Sophia/Study.

The review makes several references to Purdue, such as being ranked #43 in USN&WR. That is a different university in the same system. It would be something like reviewing UNC-Pembroke and citing UNC-Chapel Hill's USN&WR ranking.
Purdue the residential campus bought Purdue Online. They are not the same school, but they are indeed related
Good luck.
@@wombat-ut4hl Do you know if the diploma given by Purdue Global is the same as the given in Purdue main campus?

You hit the nail on the head, it’s all about use-case. For someone who just needs the piece of paper, it can be a good option. For someone trying to learn what is needed to be effective in industry, not so much. But major makes a big difference too! Like you said, some of their degrees are high quality.
