Clearly an epic run for your first time. I visited Interlaken in recent years and went up to Piz Gloria. What a spectacular view of the alps. Hard to beat.

In der Zeit - Schapeau! Bin das Ding '72 gefahren - die Zeit weiß ich nicht mehr. Da waren am Allmendhubel aber viele viel üblere Steigstrecken drin und die Waldwege nach Mürren noch nicht so aufgeräumt.
Je später die Startnummer und je weicher/frischer der Schnee, desto übler ist die Strecke.

I was thinking what temperature reaches the base of the skis due to snow friction? Did they get hot enough to melt some snow? Does water appear below the ski? That produce some braking effect?. I guess any kind of groove would add some braking effect also because you would be adding "surface" were more snow gets in...But if we could insert some air there in some way...you will flight!! Specially in the rear part of the skis..Just thinking..

Wie viel Kilometer waren das? Kann man diese Strecke im Sommer auch mit dem Fahrrad benutzen, Respekt Sport heil, Piste frei🙈
Weiss nicht, bin immer nur zum Infernorennen dort. Ich schätze mal ja, da der untere Teil der Strecke ein normaler Waldweg ist. Im oberen Teil sollte man eigentlich auch mit dem Fahrrad fahren können.

Decisamente una delle PiStE più pipìcolose(pseudo pericolose) del mondo. Questo campione devi ringraziare chi gli ha messo la Sciolina Turbo... Altrimenti stava a spalare la neve con le racchette sulla pista!🤗😂🌄🚭
Più che una DISCESA con gli Sci sembrava una gara di rally!🤩🌅🤪
Is this slope for advanced only?
Not really. With later starting-numbers there are a bunch of people going down at rather slow speed. This race is not only about the race itself, but about the event as such....with nice party, burning of devil the night before, or, if you choose, the combination with crosscountry and giant slalom the days before.
How long is the track? Looks prety long for me... ;-)
This race is every year (except this year). The length varies depending on the snow-condition. In 2013, when I shot this video, it was the full track, which is 17kms long. Some steep parts, but mostly rather flat, which kills your legs :)
