sir, a ryzen 3600 gets 7500 hashes on randomx. i tell everyone that is where to start. am4 ryzen 3600. then you can upgrade to ryzen 5900x. if thats not enough then am5. ok, your server was VERY cheap, but thats because the cpu architecture is very old and inefficient. we have a load of lga1150 motherboards (and they are very old) we mine using lga1150 xeons and they get 2000 hashes randomx. so if i was on a TOTAL budget - get lga1150 and a xeon 1226 with two sticks of ddr3 1600 - and bang thats 2100 monero hashes. also look at your power draw. an lga 1150 xeon is gonna blow you out of the water with power draw. the lga1150 xeon 1245 is interesting cos it has 8 threads BUT useless for monero cos the cpu cache is locked at 8 megs on the lga1150 xeons. however ghostrider can use those 8 threads a bit. we do use a xeon 1275 on lga1150 thats the best we are using. but go onto am4 for mining - even that is now old tech
FYI, 2 day started, in test phase - R730 with 50% cpu usage 64 available /32 working, and the H/s with my current setup is : xmrig[3191]: [2024-09-12 07:55:38.128] miner speed 10s/60s/15m 14244.1 14242.1 14241.9 H/s max 14246.8 H/s
I have never turned a profit mining other when I tried some of it 12 years ago or something like that. I wish I would have saved the BTC but thought it was a waste of time. I really don't think there is much money to be made unless you can get in on the ground floor of a coin and for every coin that comes out there are 20,000 of them that fail.
This is what the math shows over and over for me as well. The electricity rates continue to go up as well, so it's really just a hobby at this point unless you have a massive farm and a large UA-cam channel to prop it up.

I think a new low end laptop or mini PC with something like an N100 connected to a battery and solar panel might be an interesting experiment.
