Not sure what to tell ya. I got the Dell T610 server for free, searched on eBay for the fastest Xeons it could handle (x5675). Installed Windows 7 and winminer and just let it do it's thing. It originally had 12 gigs of ram, I took most of the sticks out and allocated 2 gigs to each CPU. Running an old laptop hard drive.

i would scrap the idea of mining with a z800, i would buy two x5690's and two gtx 480's and plop that in there, 12 cores 24 threads and possibly the ability to play some games in 4k!
@Super Spam I guess you're not too bright in the head then. There are seemingly arbitrary rules and laws applied to all sorts of stuff in society, and people are just (metaphorically) expected to use their telepathic powers to figure out about them. I hope you don't work in education.
Those quadro 4000 cards should get about 180 H/s each on Monero (XMR) same as your CPU's are getting, so that's an extra 360 H/s if you keep the 2 cards, plus what the CPU is getting. Not sure what the power usage would jump up to.
Hmm I tired them on other coins they were very under whelming. If you have some more info on this I would like to know which miner to use as anything I tried to not get the results you speak of.
190 kh/s at 200 watt+ you're so in minus on power here. you make 1-4 dollars a month in monero on this. the problem is, the size , heat and electricity of this is just hugh mongus to even be an idea. even if you had 500 of these you'd be talking about the profits of one rig with 6 vega gpu's aslong the power is free.
Sure you have to work out every situation. This is more about the idea of CPU mining which I have refined and applied to the KraKen build. See link ua-cam.com/video/QuCOsUaY_0s/v-deo.html Also I am getting solar installed :) Stay tuned.
solar panels and selling all your power to the power grid is the best way to get your money back and it still takes 5+ years to earn it back. installing solar panels does make the world more green but doesn't help you one bit, and better hope you dont turn into issues with those solar panels, one day of repair costs as much as 8 months of running them annyway unless you filled your whole roof.
Umm nah you might have some misinformation there. You are right Solar use to feed directly to the grid a few years ago. The ones you buy now feed your house first then put any excess back out to the grid. So having my solar working should produce around 1300 watts on a good day. The rig uses around 1000 watts. So probably other devices like fridge etc will use
its a nice feat but 1kw thats nothing, like the pc in your video runs over 200w, by now there's probably alot who catched up on it, maybe 30-100 people and now they are running 10kw and more or less earn nothing. just adding up more waste to the planet. thats why it wasn't such a good idea afterall. first supports green energy but your video asks for people to use more electricity.
total so far, some people have mentioned that I can assign a miner to each CPU, but I havent worked this out yet. To busy with new KraKen build which will put video up shortly. Please feel free to lt me know how to do it if you know.
My rig is running 100 watts I got a thermaltake 450 watt psu running amd phenom 2 quad core 5200 rpm 500gb laptop hardrive an evga Nvidia gtx 650 with 8 gigs of RAM running Windows 10 64bit and minergate
Anthony R hello bro! I am based in a developing country where it is very difficult to find such thing as you told. I am a tech freak and wanted to start mining and finding some good parts though i am unable to find any till now. But i am trying too hard for it. You can make a good use of those parts as these are in very good condition.
That's really low, if you know what you are doing you can get much more.. don't know what cpus you have, some E5-2600 V1 series xeons. But even the low end models will give around 300h/s for single cpu.
Yes for current CPUs, these Xeons are not current models. If you have some trick to make these work better then I would like to hear it. Otherwise you are telling me something I already know and I will have a new build coming soon called KraKen.
So you have even earlier models than i thought, e5606. But the first most basic thing is to enable large page support in windows. Notice how your miner complains about memory? After that, you need to assign the threads on actual cores and run two miners, one for each cpu on different numa nodes so both miners run on different cpus. CPU mining is mostly about cache size, you got 8mb per CPU. It takes 2mb to run one thread. So you can run 4 threads per CPU.
How exactly the fuck did you get two dual xeon, dual quadro workstations for free?!? [EDIT] I use my website to mine dogecoin with visitor's cpus. I just embedded the cpu mining widget from coinpot
like i usually say if you just cut the toilet paper use , it would mean less book/magazine reading in private time , but it's not like you are getting any smarter
I dont doubt it, tho I think you should leave the GPUs in the machine, do an experiment for us with a watthour/profit before and after GPUs. I can see however if you replaced the old GPUs and installed newer CPUs in their place. cheers
Cool, good point, I think its running in fast mode now. The video is more about the idea of cpu mining. By the way mobile mining just been released. Video here. ua-cam.com/video/SyVE0hnwjJg/v-deo.html
(wheeze) ps. I have a Nvidia gtx 750 ti somewhere. should i sell it for money to get a better gpu or should i use it on a mining rig? pps found out how much it would cost for a 8 lb package from austrailia to the us.. around 5,000..
It's been about the price of electricity for a long time now, nothing else. Doesn't really matter how good the rig is, especially without GPUs. As soon as I figure out the "budget" in the video referred to the computer, I stopped watching. And Bitcoin has gone down a fair amount since the video was made- I stopped keeping track of ethreum and others since they seem to just track bitcoin. Call me when you get a dedicated ASIC miner for free. Even then, unless your Chinese, your electricity is probably still too high.
OMG, you took that really well! Are you sure you haven't been drinking? lol Yeah sure, I think you are either way too overconfident or crazy, but that a recipe for interesting videos.
check out qwertycoin. to give you a simple answer, I have an old quad-core processor and I am able to mine approx 20 to 30 K coins a day. The coin is new and the difficulty level is very low. One of the benefits of being an early adopter is that you get to mine more coins before others hop on and increase the difficulty. Hope this helps.
Maybe you could upgrade those 2x Xeon E5606 to 2x X5650 or faster? Those 6-core CPU's are still pretty powerful. I have a Xeon X5670 @ 4.32GHz in my main PC and it's faster than i7-6700K and almost as fast as Ryzen 5 1600. I don't know about CPU mining but I'm pretty sure it would be a big upgrade since those E5606's is pretty much the worst CPU's for the HP Z800

i would scrap the idea of mining with a z800, i would buy two x5690's and two gtx 480's and plop that in there, 12 cores 24 threads and possibly the ability to play some games in 4k!
Good suggestions mate.
@123myIT can I run cryptomining software for a few hours instead of all day and still get paid?
Sure !
@Super Spam I guess you're not too bright in the head then. There are seemingly arbitrary rules and laws applied to all sorts of stuff in society, and people are just (metaphorically) expected to use their telepathic powers to figure out about them. I hope you don't work in education.
How much did you mine in a month on this pc and how much$ did it cost to run the miner?
About 50C a day. Probably the same in power.
0$ ? those are sold for like 300$ in my country :(
Its an example mate. Ask around find someone who doesnt want their old computer gear.
Wich one is the best ? Q9450 or FX8300 ?
??
cryptomining24.net/cpu-for-monero/ unless power is free, both are pretty crappy hashrates
Se puede minar Monero con Xeon?
Yes
Using Claymore?
Those quadro 4000 cards should get about 180 H/s each on Monero (XMR) same as your CPU's are getting, so that's an extra 360 H/s if you keep the 2 cards, plus what the CPU is getting. Not sure what the power usage would jump up to.
Hmm I tired them on other coins they were very under whelming. If you have some more info on this I would like to know which miner to use as anything I tried to not get the results you speak of.
www.easycryptomining.com/nvidia_quadro_4000_2go.html
using xmr-stak.
also monerobenchmarks.info/
search for 4000. One is showing 220 h/s.
I know of a place where i can find 10+ cheap desktop computers. Could I hypothetically set them up and mine on all of them at once?
yeh you might find you have a big power bill and not much coins tho.
why use windows on a power station ffor mining purposes???
Strong CPU.
shzt do you mean with that? is a strong CPU regardless OS, but for mining, windows is just a waste of resources
Do you need windows 10 or would windows 7 or 8 work??
Yes they will all work ok.
where in hell would you be able to find a dual Xeon , dual qudro 4000 PC for free ???
australia mate ! :)
123myIT lol , in Serbia I couldn't find the case , hardly the rest .
Yes different countrys I guess. Here there is big push for mobile workstations. No one wants desktop anymore.
I call bullshit mate !!
Serplus Auctions like state and school sales and cregslist are good place to find hardware to
how did you get hp z800 for free?
company didnt want them any more and giving them away.
Just incase you are done using it kindly lemme pick it up
hehe its heavy mate ! :)
See link ua-cam.com/video/QuCOsUaY_0s/v-deo.html
Also I am getting solar installed :) Stay tuned.
solar panels and selling all your power to the power grid is the best way to get your money back and it still takes 5+ years to earn it back.
installing solar panels does make the world more green but doesn't help you one bit, and better hope you dont turn into issues with those solar panels, one day of repair costs as much as 8 months of running them annyway unless you filled your whole roof.
Don't worry mate. world is changing rapidly. Do you think normal banking systems cost nothing to run?
Hi whats the hashrate you will get with this machine
Carz Pk i think it shows on a cmd 190hs
Yep.
so even if your power cost is 1 cent per kw/h you would still lose 20$ every hour i dont get it ... why would somone do that lol
190h/s per core? or 190 h/s in total? i am getting confused.
total so far, some people have mentioned that I can assign a miner to each CPU, but I havent worked this out yet. To busy with new KraKen build which will put video up shortly. Please feel free to lt me know how to do it if you know.
Good video man. I love dumpster diving for machines to bitcoin with lol. I do it with Blackberrys I found too.
HAHA one mans trash is another mans treasure :P
I have 4 CPU how can I use it for minning
Claymores miner mate.
How much will it make monthly ?
Can u say that also
Not much these days mate. I wouldnt recommned. The cost of the electricity would be more.
Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3.8ghz does 600h/s for a measly 60w of power. I just find it funny you fail to mention those.
Fair point mate I have not tried the AMD chipset. But this video is more about the idea of CPU mining :) Whats the cost difference mobo and cpu ?
what mining pools you in or do you have your own?
Umm nanopool and coinmine. I like nanopool good stats etc.
is coinmine cloud mining?
nah a pool.
which coinminer pool there are a couple ? sorry don't mean to bug you just trying to get my head around doing it right the first time
thats fine. I use the decred one.
My rig is running 100 watts I got a thermaltake 450 watt psu running amd phenom 2 quad core 5200 rpm 500gb laptop hardrive an evga Nvidia gtx 650 with 8 gigs of RAM running Windows 10 64bit and minergate
Nice !
but how do you expect us to get a pc with a 1000 watt power supply and a xeon cpu for free
Don't expect anyone do do anything mate :)
Hi man can i use my amd a8 7650k ?
Should work. But is it worth while. Probably not at this stage.
who throws that away????? how????? why??????
Landfill mate. Lots of company's do this.
@@123myIT yeah... spoiled westerners lol
@@DemeDemetre could be :)
You found the z800 for free i find it used for 500dollar lol
You need to ask around mate. People throw all types of things out.
What hp model is that
z800 mate. lol
123myIT thanks man
np :)
123myIT damn man you got a steal those things are 300 dollars
Yeh no one wants them tho lol
To be honest they are not that good unless auto cad or video editing. Even I tried gaming with a 1070 it was a bit slow.
How much can I get from a 1050 2gb I just bought
Umm a bit. go to whattomine.com
Thanks!
NP!
I have two Xeon E5530's in a HP Proliant DL360. What should I mine/mine with because the cpus aren't supported by Nicehash?
And how good is a RX 560 by Sapphire. I love your videos but I don't think I've seen you use a RX 560.
The link does not work
which one mate ?
I found 2 dell r 710 servers for free will that work
Yeh it will mate, its probably not worth it at this stage. You would pay more in electricity costs.
So go to your website to be rerouted to microsofts website.. got it
Whats up mate ?
You can also mine some VERIUM coins ;)
what are they ?
The best for CPU Mining
if i had that i will use it as a budget gaming workstation pc for every day use. 😀
I have used it with gaming withmy gtc 1070.
I would like to find a free cpu :-)
hehe :)
Anthony R hello bro!
I am based in a developing country where it is very difficult to find such thing as you told. I am a tech freak and wanted to start mining and finding some good parts though i am unable to find any till now. But i am trying too hard for it. You can make a good use of those parts as these are in very good condition.
Anthony R i am based in india.
I you find any way out i will be glad to know!
Thanks bro
Thats it mate! :)
dual quadro 4000's, dual xeons, and 16 g ram??? this is better than my gaming pc!!
Hehe you need to upgrade mate ! LOL
123myIT i may, but i can still run zdoom, what more do i need?
what about PUBG ? hehe
how the hell did u get them from free?
land fill😏
Nice
these pc in my country cost around 1000 dollars or more...
I have two just sitting in my room not being used.
You know if this one has factory issues Just Like hp laptops
What do you mean?
123myIT well factory defects
123myIT just bought a laptop like wifi work like shit because it's factory error
Hmm no idea mate it seems to work ok for me.
I tried this with an older pc to unfortunately realise it had a legacy motherboard..
Thats it not all motherboards are the same.
Holy s*** that's like $1,000 reg Nvidia quadro is all so really expensive
nah ...
1100W power supply, WOW
Consume so much power ! :)
189h from dual xeon cpu.. you are doing it wrong
Oh yeh ? why so?
That's really low, if you know what you are doing you can get much more.. don't know what cpus you have, some E5-2600 V1 series xeons. But even the low end models will give around 300h/s for single cpu.
Even a freaking iphone mines as muchs as you get from a single CPU :)
ua-cam.com/video/cyYxu3DFong/v-deo.html
[EDIT]
I use my website to mine dogecoin with visitor's cpus. I just embedded the cpu mining widget from coinpot
like i usually say if you just cut the toilet paper use , it would mean less book/magazine reading in private time , but it's not like you are getting any smarter
I must not be very smart cause that made no sence to me haha
Did he just vacuum a HDD?!?!?!? :O wtffffff that's how you corrupt shit!
Toughen up mate ! ;)
Lol I mean you do you... But I would highly suggest air duster or an air compressor :P
This requires me to A. Spend time to go out and buy this and B. spend money needlessly :) Id rater buy some Crypto man. :)
Fair enough my friend!
hehe!
you have loose screws. those gpus are far better than the cpus given the fact the gpus handle lage data strings more efficiently.
Not totally true mate. Take a look at the KraKen build. I use an i7 on a current rig with great results.
ua-cam.com/video/QuCOsUaY_0s/v-deo.html
I dont doubt it, tho I think you should leave the GPUs in the machine, do an experiment for us with a watthour/profit before and after GPUs. I can see however if you replaced the old GPUs and installed newer CPUs in their place. cheers
yep :)
Free?
Please tell me how to get friends who give away free pc-s like this?
Mostly people who work for big companys and are replacing older PCs.
solar panel diy
Subscribe to someone thats starts a miner with Slow Mode ... Ya good night pro :D
;) Almost 20K subs mate. Can't be too bad :) Sign up got something special coming over the weekend.
But you didnt start the miner as ADMIN so you running in slow mode
Cool, good point, I think its running in fast mode now. The video is more about the idea of cpu mining. By the way mobile mining just been released. Video here. ua-cam.com/video/SyVE0hnwjJg/v-deo.html
"you can even use an i9" well where in the name of duck am i going to find a free i9
Haha good question :)
hey myit, you mensioned in the vid you had two of those. can i offer 200 - 300$?
Cost to much to ship from Australia mate :)
(wheeze)
ps. I have a Nvidia gtx 750 ti somewhere. should i sell it for money to get a better gpu or should i use it on a mining rig? pps found out how much it would cost for a 8 lb package from austrailia to the us.. around 5,000..
yes :)
soo sorry for being annoying but what mining software did u use for your inspiron rig? nicehash doesnt work
No worries mate. Claymore ETN miner.
Even then, unless your Chinese, your electricity is probably still too high.
subscribe mate. Ive got a good video coming up next for you! :)
OMG, you took that really well! Are you sure you haven't been drinking? lol Yeah sure, I think you are either way too overconfident or crazy, but that a recipe for interesting videos.
Latest video out for you mate :) ua-cam.com/video/13hybePJ7uc/v-deo.html
What is "Lynox"! lmao
its the stuff you put in the sink to get rid of stains.
check out qwertycoin. to give you a simple answer, I have an old quad-core processor and I am able to mine approx 20 to 30 K coins a day. The coin is new and the difficulty level is very low. One of the benefits of being an early adopter is that you get to mine more coins before others hop on and increase the difficulty. Hope this helps.
Nice one mate!
Yeh you could. I dont know if it would be worth it tho.
ok who the hell has free access to electricity !!??
Allot of people check this video ua-cam.com/video/13hybePJ7uc/v-deo.html
