She’s Latina whether you like it or not and nothing, NOTHING in the world would make her invalid as one. I have friends here that has been born and raised here, eat the same food as americans and don’t even speak the language of the country their parents were from.. some don’t even understand but does that make them any less than what they consider themselves as? No. They still consider themselves Asian-Americans. Their Asian identity isn’t erased just because they don’t speak the language or eat the food often. I’m honestly grateful to have you here being vulnerable. So much of the celebrity lifestyle is so clandestine to the rest of us and I’m glad you get to show the humanity that is so often tucked away in that culture. Everything you said about being trapped in your mind isn’t just you. I get that so much. You may feel so lost inside yourself, but don’t lose your footing. Stay grounded. You are so poised, funny, smart, confident, kind, and beautiful. You have every right to feel the way that you do. Sure you have some privileges and luxuries, but at the end of the day you’re still flesh and blood. Being wealthy doesn’t automatically mean that you have to be happy and that if you aren’t then you’re not grateful. It’s so hard to be yourself when your identity is warped and stretched thin until you can’t recognize yourself anymore. This world can be cruel, but you are strong. Please, please look after yourself. You come first before anybody else. At end of the day, you are the one that has to live with yourself. Self love isn’t self absorption.
