Heto ang 8 lessons and things I'm grateful for, fre: 1) Appreciation of security guards, baggers and cashiers. 2) The things I have. 3) I learned to be more understanding of others. We're facing the same storm on different types of boats. 4) Pasko. I found myself putting the Jackson 5 Christmas Album on Spotify. 5) Family and friends. Giving makes one feel good. 6) Magluto. Marunong na akong magluto ng Japanese-style curry. Alam kong masarap. 7) Digital Detox. 8) Netflix and Documentaries. There's more to know. Akala ko sapat na ang kaalaman ko pero yung history ng mga lugar na hinusgahan ko ng matagal (Afganistan and the other Stans), mas naging mulat na ako. So far, yun lang.
I think I also share most of the things you learned except magluto at yung pagbalik ng Christmas feeling. Making this video helped crystallize my learnings.
Hi Pao, this pandemic taught me a lot of things (in no particular order): 1. Embracing technology: Zoom, GoogleChat, MSTeams, Online transactions (banking, shopping, etc.), Docusign, etc. 2. Connections with Family, Friends and Colleagues: eNuman, Video Chats, paminsan-minsang visit with families pero limited 3. Work from home: also related to #s 1 and 2. 4. Safety in the home: ensuring you have alcohol, face masks and shields, foot baths, ligo agad pag galing sa labas, vitamins, social distancing. 5. Community: related to #2 but widen your community with relatives, marriage community in my case (WWME), tenant friends, etc. 6. Opportunities: making and selling face mask holders/lanyards, helping my husband in his new businesses. 7. Learning: webinars, online conferences, online trainings, etc. I even enrolled MBA this month. 8. Health: your health is really your wealth. With what we had experienced last Aug. 2020 and early this year, you should value your health. Exercise. Eat healthy food. 9. Time: value your time with your loved ones and those who matter to you. Baka bukas, mawala na sila. 10. Share your blessings: sharing is caring. 11. Prioritizing Family: para kaynino ka ba gumigising? 12. Trust the Lord: that despite the challenges we are facing, we should trust in Him. Take time to attend online mass and pray. Marami pang iba but so far, yan ang mga important learnings ko.
Feel the same about most of the tech-related items on your list. I was hoping this year iba na ang challenges natin, pero parang continuation lang ng kalbaryo ng 2020. Parang patapos na ang 2021 and kailangan na natin gumawa ng list for 2022! 😢
Important lessons/realizations for me: 1. Redundancy 2. Redundancy 3. Cost-cutting 4. Gotta escape this country 5. Cherishing loved ones 6. Maintaining relationships is hard work 7. Rediscovering Minecraft 8. Cooking and baking 9. Haircutting 10. Had to move out of condo before I go crazy 11. You need weapons 12. Self-sufficiency 13. Sustainability 14. Paano magbayad ng kausap 15. Cat person pala ako 16. Cutting losses 17. Mahirap mag hanap ng ka-e-numan 18. Screen viewport is not enough :( we need bigger screens 19. Ang inefficient pa rin ng mga banks 20. I think I've gotten used to this na, but I miss massages and drinking out.

One last thing: VOTE in 2022. I have registered and I will be more active in voting in the barangay and local polls. I will fucking vote.
I think I also share most of the things you learned except magluto at yung pagbalik ng Christmas feeling. Making this video helped crystallize my learnings.
1. To let go of things and situations na wala akong control.
2. To focus on things na may complete control ako such as my health and what I eat.
Sounds like both lessons are related to control. I guess the loss of it in 2020 was enlightening for you.

Talaga? Study the winners from Cannes Festival of Creativity, watch the case videos on UA-cam and you'll be on the right track. Good luck!
