It's amazing how he simply NEVER raises his voice much above a whisper.
A few big singers are like that for fear of losing their singing voice. Like how Ariana Grande and Lea Michelle won't raise their voice either
He raised it at his employees like his maid and chef and cleaners and also at his non- famous band mates.
@@Reverend-Race-Horsey source? I found a thread of people telling stories about him but none had video proof. The stories they did tell was of him raising his voice at a band mate in October 1984 for not putting a magazine down, but it was in a joking tone. The other was an altercation in 1990 with Sinead. As well as one with Wendy. But they are all stories.
Lenny Kravitz is the same way
For anyone who hasn't been to Prince's home town, Chanhassen Minnesota, I recommend you go see his home, Paisley Park! It's where his ashes are layed to rest! As I lived just blocks away from Paisley Park, I'll always remember the nights he opened his place to EVERYONE just to watch and listen to his Jam Sessions! Prince was and always will be the GREATEST Male MUSICIAN known to the world! MINNESOTANS will forever miss him!
I’m not sure if I can take a Lifetime Lease at Paisley Park but I sure intend on taking a Fantastic Voyage 2 Paisley Park soon .
I still can’t believe I was in there
Growing up I never thought I would see his studio ever
@@josephwilliams3005 Congrats on going 2 a Musical Mecca like Paisley Park did u go 2 First Avenue?
What I would give to have experienced those moments 🥹❤️
I remember the 90s and 80s, there wasn’t a girl who never fancied Prince. Today’s “celebrities” wouldn’t of stood a chance. RIP PRINCE 🙏
I was a teen in the 80s. He was not popular to us in my country. In fact, I didn't even know how Americans put him in pedestal until the social media era. Which was strange to me. Honest truth
@@piapp9503prince had pipes to sing. Nowadays celebs very few sing and few sing great. But man prince could sing. He was very talented
You can like Prince without putting other people down
@@piapp9503 That's because you're not from USA, i don't know many performers, musicians etc from abroad myself but I do know that Prince is ,was one of the greatest entertainers from the 70s well into the 2000s. Look up all of his greatest performances
@@piapp9503 then you must be from outer Earth because Prince was one of the biggest acts in the 80s going number 1 on every country ??? Or you don’t listen to music
Note he said my "supporters", not my "fans" ..now that's some level of humility and admiration towards society you won't see around too often!
They both are synonymous with each other.
@@chanyoung3725Yeah but he specifically chose to use the word supporters. Its the intention.
Prince left us way too soon with his extraordinary talents and very strong stage presence. There will never be another Prince.
He faked his death! ☠️ 💀 🚫
Can u explain how he did it @@Reverend-Race-Horsey
He flied from worse times to come and here we are now
@@Reverend-Race-Horsey
He faked his money! 💶💶
He was so sweet and humble, always humble, fantastic human and so beautiful to look at for sure.
Prince was a handsome dude!
Prince was a beautiful human being!! RIP 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I still love him and can’t believe this April 21st will be 8 years without him. The world just isn’t the same. Genius never to be forgotten.
Prince the greatest musical genius, played 27 musical instruments to perfection.
Prince? More like KING! I sure do miss him. Thank you so much for posting this.
Prince surely earned his place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ❤🎉
In the same class as George Harrison. His performance with Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne at the induction ceremony of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” is one of the most viewed You Tube videos of all time. Prince outdid himself!
@@hannaj4032 He most definitely did!🤟▶️😎
2004
Shout out 2 His Royal Badness Prince , he is truly a talent who can’t be copied and pasted .
💯 There will never be another

I got to see Prince. A concert in Columbus Ohio, early 2000’s. I won tickets through the radio station. Been a true fan since his first album, thanks to my older brother Chris. R I P!!
Prince was not only was singer, model, writer, actor, interesting 🤔, intelligent 🧠🤓🧠, one of kind, will be missed. Rest in peace 🕊️🕊️ Prince
4:32 - A lot of people don't realize that Prince has literally Thousands of *Recorded* songs that have yet to be released..
He recorded them, mixed, and edited them- when he was alive, and are stored in the Paisley Park vaults still..
He's a Musical Genius .
My husband and I were lucky enough to see him in concert. Just an amazing performer, so gifted. RIP
Just a little piece of advice . I put off seeing Prince for several years/decades , mostly because I was holding out for a Revolution reunion that never came. I finally couldn’t wait any longer and I caught 3 nights of his “Welcome 2 America tour”. I couldn’t believe just how amazing his shows were(literal magic was in the air). I regretted waiting so long to see him live. So if you have a legend ( there are still a few around from various genres ) coming to your city or town , don’t wait, buy that ticket ! Catch them while they’re still here and, while you’re still here. Peace ✌🏻 Love , and starfish and coffee ☔️
“Baby baby baby listen to me!”Like his song “The Beautiful one’s “
We needed this video
So glad I saw his Purple Rain tour, 3rd row from the stage, and only paid $80 for the tickets.
The best
Wow! Amazing. Lucky you. Never ever saw him, I'm gutted to say. To be so close, I'd have been mesmerised.
I'm so jelly 😂 😢 I bet the show was incredible
Oh WOW! What a lifetime honor! I know you are so happy you were there! So many wish they could have been so honored.
I saw Prince when I was 13 and had the pleasure of meeting him backstage after the show....ticket cost? $7.....this was 1980, when Dirty Mind was out!
Love him. Such a talent.
I still get so sad when I see something like this, reminds me of the huge loss his death was for us all!!! He was such a gifted, special human being!!! Thank God for all the videos of him and his music, at least we have them until we get a chance to see him on the other side… ❤❤❤
Love 💕 Prince, Rest in Paradise

Greatest musician in the history of music, and man he looked freakin fantastic ❤
Absolute legend ❤
Wow, thanks for posting this I didn’t know that Ellen interviewed prince.
I never saw this when originally aired, but really a treat to see him so relaxed and open in an interview with Ellen, I've seen many interviews that he didn't appear to be enjoying. Was fortunate to have seen Prince twice in concert, really an unforgettable experience.
This is the best he ever looked.
Yes in the 2000s he was Fine Fine ❤
Prince is amazing and talented individual. His music will live in us forever.
SALUTE to the GREATEST musician of all times. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️

Everybody else just had to catch up, all the way!!
RIP PRINCE
RIP PRINCE
This is the ONLY dude I've ever seen Ellen call s**y... Ha... that's the power of Prince I figured
Yeah, I was like is she crushing on Prince!?!? I remember Ellen saying in an interview that it's not that she doesn't like men, it's just that she likes women more! So, I guess thar this an example of this! Prince was turning things around lol...I remember when Rosie O'Donnell used to call Tom Cruise a "Cutey Batutie". Lol...
Then you haven't watched her interviews with sexy men. She said the same thing to timberlake, Tom cruise, Javier bardem, and I could probably go on and on
He was indeed a genius.
His outfit was incredible! I love an all black outfit.
I will always love Prince.
I was lucky to get to see him perform twice.
Miss him dearly
💜
Early prince was my favorite. He's move on to another universe. If you dream of a mysterious place you will hear his music playing.

Only for those who cared about him. I sure didn't and I'm a child of the 80s in america. Never heard him brought up by anyone I ever knew in the 80s or 90s
@@veggigoddessStop it.. Only MJ and Madonna could be considered bigger in the 80s.. Purple Rain was an iconic and unforgettable era in the mid 80s

When Prince left his record label in the mid 90s he appeared on Rosie and Oprah. With this, he repeats that same formula. He didn't have record label support where he could fully concentrate on his music, telling his story. He gained mainstream audience through those appearances to make his then album and tour a success. Even selling his special releases at Borders Books. Prince... at Borders.
He then dipped back into obscurity in the around the late 90s and trying to do a Santana-like comeback which wasn't successful in terms of how Santana and Rob got grammy's lots of air play, etc. etc. of which they are still riding the success of that collaboration with Clive and are planned to play a tribute at Carnegie Hall.
So going back to Prince, after Clive didn't manifest the same success for Prince, Prince went back to focusing on his extremely loyal fan base. That's where Prince mentions the playing theaters in his One Nigh Alone tour.
That was a lead up to what now seems was planned where at the right time, with a popular new "artist" Prince could reach that same/new audience, including people that 'missed him'.
Prince's camp most likely spoke with the Grammys' camp and the new thing at Grammys was to match new ArtOfficial "stars" with legendary real stars. Thus, his Beyonce performance. This placed Prince's name in the mainstream again, fueled with 80s nostalgia, seeing how Prince was still a great performer, the mainstream masses bought into the Musicology Tour fever. Prince was slick like that. Finding ways to beat the system, to remain relevant, and in a way to also thank hardcore and casual fans that returned and gaining new curious fans. He was so slick he worked in his Musicology album in with tickets, bam, instant top seller without radio, without the internet really and without a record label.
And again with an appearance on Ellen, he returned to that mainstream formula, thus his more tame style and look, non-threatening, to appeal to a mainstream audience. But in 2004 much more successfully than in 1996.
Anyway, just a kind of context and thoughts about this appearance. Thanks to Ellen and her team for sharing it in great quality and retaining the 4:3 ratio!
😢i miss him
Gosh, Ellen is sooo creepy! You can see Prince is cringeing!!😂
Literally nothing creepy about her in this interview or at any other point
Seems to me like he enjoyed the interview.
I think you're looking for things that aren't there.
The one and only❤
Ellen really gave him his kudos
It's like he doesn't want to talk.... Interesting
Rip legend ♥️
Been waiting on this to be uploaded ❤❤
