Hi Jay, Sorry for the late reply, but i do eventually reply to all comments, i must of watched about 7 James Cagney movies recently & do plan to watching some of his lesser known movies, great release from Criterion for "The Roaring Twenties" i will be purchasing that release of "Angels with Dirty faces" a great ending & that movie is a big fav of mine. Hi Carlos, nice footage mate, I’ve never been to Milton Keynes 🧐 The Chamber is one I have and have seen but for the life of me I can’t remember much about 😬 I saw Miami Vice in the cinema and quite enjoyed it, it’s not as bad as people make out, it’s just very different from the show, 88 Films put out a nice release there 🧐 The Roaring Twenties is a great movie 👍 nice one mate, take care 👍😃👍
Hi Sir Alan, One day you"ll have to pop over, large shopping centre, HMV & a CEX store there, give us a shout, Gene Hackman is such a great & versatile actor that i could watch him in anything, "The Chamber" is one that obviously skipped me by, i agree Alan that most might of expected a tv version of "Miami Vice" on screen but it wouldn"t of worked, different actors & many decades later, but after a few viewings it grew on me, a missed opportunity. A true fan movie fan appreciates the classics & James Cagney are to be watched by all generations in my opinion, "The Roaring Twenties" is a story that"s being told many times day but in different versions, a fantastic ending. Hi Scotty, Great day indeed, for sure we"ll do it again buddy, & i"m glad Milton Keynes for physical media was more than good enough for your needs as you got quite a stack of movies & music vinyl albums, "The Football Factory" i had to get with your twin in the movie 🤣Danny Dyer & its a very good & entertaining football hooligan movie, glad you liked "The Roaring Twenties" Criterion is a label that i don"t get many releases of their catalogue & i do think they can be a little overpriced, but its a great gangster flick & as you know i"ve been on a James Cagney kick of late. Hi Carlos, I remember not liking Miami Vice when it first came out, Watched it again recently and its a lot better and i really enjoyed it, Just shows how your opinion can change as you get older. Watched The Mechanic 1972 recently and the third act in Italy was fantastic, felt like a Euro crime movie to me, not watched that many but i wonder if i would like Street Law, it has put me in the mood to watch more.
Hi Mark, Michael Mann"s "Miami Vice" movie was built up as a big blockbuster as it was long awaited & big budget, i think the fans were expecting it like the tv series but on a bigger scale, its a dark underground undercover version & more realistic in my opinion, but i still prefer the tv series. Love "The Mechanic" a Bronson fav of mine & glad you enjoyed it, give the Euro Crime movies a shot, thanks for watching & commenting.
