For anyone having issues with the rear. Take off the C Pillar. That's done by prying out the small circular cover in the middle of the C-pillar cover using your finger nail. Next, using a 10 mm socket, extension and ratchet, remove the single retaining bolt, and pull off the C-pillar cover (gently). Several tabs hold it in place in addition to the screw you removed.
came to comment the same thing, though i'm late. i was cussing at the screen so much like WTF ARE YOU DOING, TAKE THE PILLARS OFF!!! I clicked on this thinking he was doing the rear deck sub too but stayed to watch the inexperienced, struggle.
Dude!! you had the perfect opportunity to add sound deadening. If you would of done that with the panels off, you would of had a huge differences especially your mid base. Really you should do it man, massive difference. Excellent vid!!

Sounds “fuller” if you ask me.. Less distortion on the highs, and lows play less scratchy. Kinda similar to adding headers to your exhaust🤷🏽♂️ Nice install video👍🏽I’m definitely gonna do this soon for my Genesis
Bro, i know im a bit late to this video, but i just got a 2015 3.8L and your videos have helped me quite a bit. Good job kid! You still got your Genesis?
Not the greatest song for testing a speaker system, the stock system sounded VERY bass-heavy and tinny in the highs, I will definitely be upgrading mine and EQing it properly. Thanks for the video!
Yeah, hmm, why not extract the speaker connector from the old housing and use that instead of cutting into the harness. Cutting the harness is a big no no imo.
Better if you put the window down😏and use heat shrink tubing for wire I just my opinion still you video help me to remove the door panel whitout any problem👍
Is it all the same fir the 2013 and up genesis coupes with the premium sound system? My drivers side 6.5inch speaker blew out the other day and i think the passenger side is about to go out too

Random question. My bk2 radio plays music at a lower volume on Bluetooth audio. The satellite radio and fm radio actually sound okay but when I switch to Bluetooth it almost sounds muffled, do you have that same problem?
Hey man, actually my head unit does a pretty similar thing. The Bluetooth audio doesn't sound as good regular am and fm. I think it has to do with the Bluetooth connection

Another thing is you need to test before putting the panels back on, very good idea to make sure everything is working properly to risk less damage!
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated👍

Haha no problem man, yeah i struggled trying to find videos of this on UA-cam when I was installing my speakers.
I’m going to install a pioneer double din and upgrade the speakers. Is it plug n play or will I have to do an amp bypass?

The speakers i installed did not require any extra amps👍
Could you do a stock sound system review
Sure, I will do my best in trying to talk and explain my opinion👍
Good video man. I got a white bk1 too. Yours looks dope. How did you paint your front lip???
Thanks bro! And aye nice, and i just went to a body shop and had them color match the lip to the color of my car.👍
You ever do the center deck speaker ?
Also u ever by pass stock amp to another 5 channel amp?
I did not change that speaker.
