    From what I read, the real big difference is gel won't let you "re-form" your hair throughout the day. Clay will allow you to re-style your hair or fix it with your hands when your not at home. I guess experimenting is the best way to test it.

    When I warm up hair clay, is it supposed to be smooth on my hands? Because I warm it up in my hands but if I do it for a while, my hands get sticky and hard to rub.

    Hi. I used to use Revlon "Creator Matt Clay" a lot. However Revlon has discontinued it and its replacement is called "Matt Clay" (its a pink jar now). But the formula is completely different and now it feels weak and as generic as any other hair clay. What I really liked about it was that it left my hair with a "dry and sandy like" sensation with texture and a good hold from the moment I applied it to my hair, even if it was damp. Its been years now and I cant find a similar replacement. I have tried products like Calymation and Baxter Clay Pomade, but all of them feel smooth and more wet. Does anyone have any similar product suggestions?

    • @DillonOverholtzer
      @DillonOverholtzer 2 роки тому

      I know what you mean about the sandy like texture. Try Sexy Hair Matte Clay. Brand has been around for over a decade, is super reliable and I use it everyday.

    I brought this product and had really high hopes for it. However having used it a few times I was left very very disappointed. The product is completely unmanageable, it does not dissolve in your hands when warming it up. When applying it to my hair it remained like a thick white paste and was so unmanageable that it turned my hair white and was very hard to wash out. A complete waste of money.

    No matter how little I use, if I use hair clay or wax, it seems to melt down my face and turn me into a greasy faced mess. Some times if I use very little by the end of the day my hair has almost no trace of it, because it all run downwards as I’ve been running around at work. Any tips/ideas what’s happening? I’ve got a hunch that prestylers cause it?

    • @xyber81
      @xyber81 3 роки тому +1

      I’ve done a bit of testing this week. Reuzel hair tonic, layrite grooming spray, Aveda texture tonic and Black mist all ended up with the clay running down my face. Using no prestyler it stayed put. No greasy looking face, the style stayed in place, looked better and it seemed the product dried/set fully.

    • @firstlast2386
      @firstlast2386 2 роки тому

      Stickmore Styling cream. Use like a dime size and only style with your finger tips. Less is best. Too much and you get too much product weighing your hair down or it'll look shiny.
      Make sure to wash out all the oil in your hair.

      No evidence to suggest hair products cause hair loss. The majority of products we use today aren't absorbed by the scalp, which means that hair loss won't be a problem! Most hair loss is from male pattern baldness which is purely genetic!
