Today's van life vlog begins at a secret beach camping spot about 30 minutes away from La Paz, Baja California Sur. We cannot believe how lucky we are to wake up in these incredible locations in our self converted Sprinter Van aka our tiny home on wheels! Even though today was supposed to be our "day off" from vlogging we couldn't help but share this PARADISE with you. What did you think?!

We have loved living in a van (self converted sprinter van) for the last year and a half and while we enjoy spending time in Canada it can get a little cold throughout the winter. So, we've decided to hit the road and drive across the continent to enjoy some warmer weather in Baja Mexico. If our last trip to this country taught us anything... it's to expect the unexpected!!

I have enjoyed your vlogs until recently. Recently you have been filming a lot of Bec’s backside in a very skimpy bathing suit. You guys are better than this! I have unsubscribed because of all the naked butt shots. I’m a 64 yr old female and was brought up old school. Just because you think you have a nice a$$ doesn’t mean you have to flaunt it! Have more pride in yourself Bec!!! Your vlog has gone from G rated to X rated in my opinion. The bare butt is the only reason why I unsubscribed. The only reason.

I totaly understand the water thing. we live on a farm and a well. and we don't waste water never!! many of our neighbors run there wells dry in the summer(city folks don't get it) and then they have to go buy water and take there clothes to the laundry mat. we never have. we have raised Alpaca's (48 of them and still no dry well.) it is beautiful there thanks for sharing
Ok, I'll be that guy: That beach you are on is actually not El Saltito (the little jump). El Saltito is just to the right of that and it is a short (maybe 100 meter wide) beach. We always refer to the one you are/were on as 'the long beach', but I recently heard it is called El Muertito ('the little death'). Definitely one of my favorite beaches also and how fantastic is the view driving down (especially the last part of the asphalted road, where it gets windy and you get this AMAZING view of the water and the beaches and the mountains and....)? By the way, those little balls are called huizapoles and they are THE WORST. Our little dog Wanda (you've met her) sometimes gets them stuck all in her fur and it's incredibly difficult and painful (for both her and me) to get them out....

I finally bought your cookbook! Not vegan yet but I’m working towards it. You did such a professional job. The photos are amazing and everything looks delish. I can tell these are tried and true. Heck I’ve been watching you prepare all of this in your van for several months. It makes me happy to see you enjoying your Baja trip. I know you worked hard on that cookbook and chai tea business plus this channel. Thanks for inspiring me to eat better.
Wow, no words!!! I’ve had a particularly bad couple of days caring for my Mom, Alzheimer’s is such a horrendous disease! Anyhow your video popped up and I instantly felt like smiling! Your videos are always so positive and this Mexico series is just beautiful! Takes me away for a couple of minutes! Makes looking forward to my Nomad life seem so much closer! Intermittent fasting is great. I try to fast from 8 pm until noon the next day at least 5 days a week (16 hour fast) and it feels amazing. Tons of energy and you’re allowing your body to heal rather than constantly reserving that energy for digesting.

A good gauge for learning how to start intermittent fasting is to listen to your body. Don't eat just because it's "breakfast". Eat when you are hungry.
I love that you are experimenting with your food pace. Fasting periods are healing.

Notice the word breakfast, since you fast while sleeping and the cereal pushers and all things corporate deem eating 3 times a day instead of promoting fasting is why it is breaking the fast = breakfast! The spiritual part of living is to fast and ensure enlightenment instead of the carnal lusts of the physical realm!

It’s an absolutely amazing country with such unique qualities also a plethora of camping spots for vans; very easy to come by and hospitable :)

Our store is running a sale and yesterday I got 10 pounds of them. Tomatoes for days and no regrets but now its a race to eat them! It was one of my moms many pleasures from the garden....walking out to the tomatoes with a salt shaker and just eating one straight off the vine.

Lethia Page. Sounds yummy! If you have a food dehydrator, dehydrate the tomato’s ...... they become super super sweet, like candy. Then you can eat anytime, use them in soups, casseroles, or just snack on them. Seriously delish!
@@lindamyfatcatcow2606 I don't have a dehydrator and I'm getting a little tired at this point....Hahhah. Not complaining mind you. I wouldn't trade a second of these problems for how I used to eat. But I also have some avocados, romaine, cucumbers, aand cantaloupe to use up as well. I looooove that I have fallen in love with fresh produce but I don't get out much so I tend to over buy in one trip then I have to really indulge and pay attention to the freshness of everything. Back to the tomatoes my escape plan should I need it is to whip up a marinara sauce and maybe even freeze it in a zipper bag. But you know I find avo toast with oatnut bread and tomato slices some salt and pepper is about the happiest my tummy has been lately. I crave it...and I can make a serious dent in those tomatoes with avo toast alone.
Lethia Page I totally understand! I have to be very careful with what I eat as well ... sometimes even the best veggies make me double over. Sigh. Either way, if you aren’t able to get out much ... really consider a small round food dehydrator .... you can dehydrate all sorts of fruits and veggies. I also buy in bulk as it’s more economical, what we don’t use we can throw on the dehydrator and save for later. Best wishes your way!

@@lindamyfatcatcow2606 good tips but I have no plans to buy any more kitchen gear. 😊 My kitchen is tiny and so is my budget. But that is something to keep in mind! In my backpacking days I would have thought about it seriously to make healthier trail food. And maybe if I had more room.
A quick tip for everyone if you haven't heard me say it already is to sprinkle your avo with orange juice instead of lemon or lime. It really protects Tue avo from browning and gives a brightness with some sweet instead of bitter! Perfect if you also add something spicy...hello cholula? My fav orange for this is a clementine. The little halos!
Also in my attempts to eat more clean I have wondered if I could make oat based tortillas and found the easiest recipe! Its just oats and water, some salt and a teeny drizzle of honey in a blender. It will be like thin pancake batter. Cook them like crepes in a dry skillet. I don't know what it technically is...tortilla, crepe, flatbread but I intend to use it as a replacement for both wheat tortillas and prepared bread for wraps, sandwiches and tacos. I'm really trying to get to the point where I buy single or very few ingredient groceries. That is...it is what you see it is. A box of oats. A bag of tomatoes. Very little processing and no hidden or mysterious ingredients. I cut soda about 3 months ago and I was a mess with it! But I feel so much better without it that I decided to clean up Tue rest of my food...and surprisingly I think all the crazy was those additives? I don't eat so compulsively anymore! And when I eat a lot of fresh and healthy even huge amounts like a large salad I don't feel sick after. So enjoying this.

Back in 1996 we were driving back to Alaska in a pop-up with 3 preteen boys, two dogs and some of our household items (moving via military) and we stopped in Alberta, CA at an off the road campsite. We needed to wash our hair and waited till dark to do it at the only water spigot around. It was ice cold and an experience I will never forget, LOL.

Ha ha! My ex husband and I used to do the ...shitty oldschool motorhome, I can't believe we've made it this far, wave. We all seemed so excited to make it lol. I also remember the..were gonna overheat if we dont take a break ..but we need to get up this hill..because there is a potential campsite just up a ways. Anyone else done the rocking in your seat.. like a train wheel motion with your arms..trying to will it up a hill? Good times. Awesome memories. 💓
