The time stop of chronos don't work now. Before the nerf you can focus in front of your opponent then just had a free m1 combo because they're stunned by focus. But now they can dash after focus then no free m1 combo. The ult is pretty weak, the m1 damage is pretty mid and the m2 isn't something big. Focus literally carry the style but they removed time stop which is annoying because its hard to fight without the aura (the effect when doing m1 or m2) due to focus.
@@Guests99nah focus cancelling been a thing since chronos release. Even when focus starts during your attack you can still dash away after the stun. It simply reset both player to idle state. Intentional or not. It is been this way since chronos release. Nothing is nerfed and it probably won’t be as the style is honestly kind of mid.

Honestly my take on hitman's m1 would be nerfing its damage, but keeping its block breaking potential. This because during Kimura vs Mashiba it is said that Mashiba's flicker jabs does low damage but has a lot of snap, thus piercing the block and causes swelling.
Yes unfortunately. Hitman should get a rework against its flicker jabs and a different ultimate animation including move. Its ultimate needs to look cooler, but its current ultimate looks a bit as cool as Bullet's ultimate due to Bullet having trail shapes similar to Hitman (Bullet's trail shapes are red during the barrage part in its ultimate "Cheating Combo" and Hitman's trail shapes are a bit purplish in its ultimate move "Nightmare Barrage"). I still think Hitman's ultimate should be where he does a flicker barrage against Kimura. Therefore, its reworked ultimate should be called "Flicker Barrage", or "Grim Reaper" with the scary flicker jab theme playing. Hitman is the only legendary with placeholder music in its ultimate move. Who agrees on which ultimate move should be named from my ideas? If not, how would you name the reworked ultimate for Hitman?
I honestly think his ult should be his finishing combo he does on sawamura when he knocks him out of the ring and smashes his head on the concrete. It could be called REAPERS SENTENCE

Man, I had a friend who got Hitman, started playing passively so ever time I fought him I’d be very aggressive and destroy him, he quit the game saying passive hitman was the worst way to play and that you can never win with it. Anyways keep up the ubg content!
From my experience, I main hitman, this is kinda true, just stay at the longest distance away from your opponent and just hit them from there and dont let them get into your vulnerable zone.
tbh you should talk about kimura, his slowness debuff is so broken, hitman looks like a snail when he got m1 chained by a kimura user, every speedster fears when they got m1 chained by Kimura
Kimura is only good against styles that don't outdamage it though. It's only annoying to fight, unlike Hitman for great example since it's annoying AND unfair to fight given the dmg it does. Kimura does leave you crippled, but against for example something like Smash or Ippo, it does little next to nothing. The story does change against something like Freedom or Chronos given they are already weak (80-90hp), but Kimura would still get outdmg by Freedom's flicker/smash and Chronos's counters and focus. It's a very matchup reliant style, with a gimmick that isn't really THAT worth given your best play is already m1 chain into pressing S and running.

My idea for a rework for Hitman: Two modes that are similar to mashiba in the anime, instead of just Tommy hearns. First mode is: passive. In passive mode, Hitman uses flicker jabs as normal, dealing high damage with his m1s. And dealing little damage on M2s. Also is granted with a decent block that HURTS the opponent when they’re hitting hitmans block (elbow blocks) Just small chip damage, cannot get knocked down this way. Is relatively slow in this stance, comparable to like, base hawk speed. Second mode is: aggressive. In this style, Hitman switches stances putting is hands to his side. Is granted less damaging, slower m1s, but with anti-heal. Also has a slightly higher damaging m2. Block is overall worse, and does not damage the opponent when hit. Gets a small overall speed boost. Dashes are the same on both styles, poor. (I’m not sure how these sub styles would be activated, I was thinking either by activation or by health.) I honestly don’t care how good or bad Hitman would be with these changes, I just want him to be fun and I think with this it would be accomplished. Let me know what you think though.
Honestly Hitman isn't really annoying The most annoying one has got to be the style that both SLOWS DOWN your character and melee ATTACKS and makes you lose your stamina FASTER making u unable to land a single attack when getting hit by that ONE STYLE. It's a literal counter for hitman I hate it so much..
finally my time to shine, hitman is to trap players behind block, start match by getting 3 m1s then walking back and quickly attacking, some players drop their block some hold it. we really want them to not block but it's whatever. at some point the player will catch on and just hold block. this is were we walk backwards to hitman's max range and do the same thing. this causes player's to do some form of dash. if you wait you'll be able to hit them after the dodge. then it's all up to the hitman to keep focused and keep them trapped. you can't predit and hitman if the hitman isn't thinking taka can do this same thing and it's really op because who cares if they block or not. i know a few bugs, like dodging in combos whille blocking, emote walking whille blocking. emoteing to not get pulled away in a knockdown

I’ve really seen these “hitman is broken” little kiddy comments on this video and it is much expected of jwordz viewers most of them are little kids who don’t actually try to get better and play the game effectively, but in my opinion and experience hitman is really just a matchup check. It takes a lot of patience and skill to outsmart one, but when you do? It’s insanely satisfying

Hitman is probably the least skilled, or the most op style in ubg and meeting a somewhat good hitman is death. And what can u do abt it? U can’t do shit. If you try and perfect dodge, the hitman can just wait for u to fumble a dodge and unleash a flicker combo, and if ur attack fails to land? Well same thing. I feel like ubg gotta make some styles a little more skilled, cuz it’s clearly unbalanced and you can easily pick out the brain dead styles.

@@dontrowtheboat1811 Actually yeah we do. It doesnt work all the time, but you can stay at almost zero stamina and attack again in order to bait a counter or just hit them. You can do it by not going backwards and waiting for your stamina to regen a lil bit and attack again, normally people would expect you to back away when low on stamina so they wont see it coming.
I'm a hitman main, but here's the thing, I go aggressive at the start and then outbox them for a little bit to confuse them and then I go straight back to being aggressive
Make hitman have 2 modes. First mode is like basic. Second mode is hitman. Activated by a meter (only needs 5 M2 and it must land. Can't use m1 to fill) the hitman mode will de activate if you take 5-10 hit. Edit: make the m2 slower in the basic mode. So it's harder to get into hitman mode Edit2:also the damage in the basic form is reduced. So without hitman mode you still can defeat the opponent. But in the hitman mode it's faster n better Is this good chat??

one flaw of the hitman is the m1 just comes out in the same direction so its quite easy to dodge but they could just spam you with feints which is annoying.
What I learned about fighting hitman is always dodge first, if your using a style with bad dashes your done for, you won't even be able to land an m1, if your fighting someone that's inexperienced with hitman when hitman whiffs dodge towards his punches to close the distance, you ain't getting anywhere being out of range, atleast he's in your range, if you think your gonna get countered dodge, if you don't think your in range dodge, if you think he's gonna throw an m1 dodge, and always dodge to the left, except of course if he's throwing an m2 which you gotta watch out for, since there's a huge difference in hitman's m1 speed and m2 speed, if this isn't obvious enough I would recommend using a style with good dashes like freedom, Chronos and handslow, even smash or ippo would do just fine as long as you can double dash cus your gonna need that.
I remember i fought the whole server,they were using hitman.Literally all of them have it(imma count freedom because the person was using flicker for the whole match)
My peak days of hitman were when i was able to play aggressively with it due to it having a decently good dash, but now its cancer and unfitting for my play style.
thats why I think it get a rework like this: hitman flicker jab only comes out when at the end of their arm swing or maybe have a meter to show when to m1 and depending on which side hitman arm is at and you input your m1 the flicker jab comes out of that side, this works because it can confuse your enemy and keep them on edge when they see your arm at the end of their swing and if you miss time the flicker jab you get a normal jab, a jab that has no range, average dmg, and average speed. - this way it can be confusing like the real hitman - it won't be braindead - would be a fun style as it encourages good timing
So what im gathering from this is that it works like a metronome? Like a bar with a line that goes left and right and depending on where the line is determines the direction your jab comes from? That's actually quite creative and accurate lorewise, though it would need some tinkering with the numbers so it wouldn't just be a copy-paste/better bullet jab or ghost jab. Someone here also said its damage should be lower the closer you are to the enemy so it really leans more to the outboxer playstyle. I also really like that idea but again the numbers would need some testing which can make or break the style into having a higher skill floor or ceiling without overshadowing the rest of the styles as to keep it balanced like the game description intends.
Jwordz I have a suggestion to make. It is how you can land Bullet m1's special like when the opponent m1 aswell and bullet m1 comes first (you get what I mean) and also can we appreciat bullet staggering is so op?
A good suggestion for hitman would be , whenever its in close range m1 and m2 combo will do 1/5 of counter's base damage. So you'll have to force yourself to be in a big distance. Meaning hitman will be 100% useless in close range. Not only this will make it more realistic but it'll also nerf hitman alot as well
Honestly hitman is too easy to read. Left Dash to dodge his m2 and Right dash to dodge his m1 But you have to know that when he's gonna attack. Depends on how skilled you are.

Flicker is supposed to be long and hard to dodge And in the anime it is supposed to not be very strong At the time hitman released, there was no direction PD so the only way drowning can make it hard to dodge was to make it really fast. Now that we have direction PD I suggest take away the speed make the damage just normal But make the m1 have very weird direction cycle. Like left-left-right-left-right (all thrown with left hand to better conceal the cycle) Makes challenging the style easier and easier to avoid a hit (you can still back dash if your m1 is dodged normally)

I mean, yeah i agree. Hitman is hard to fight because all you gotta do is spam and you'll probably win. However, after a while and a bit more practicing, you'll get used to hitman's m1s and eventually be able to dodge them.
Even after that perfect dodging hitman m1 is so difficult. The highlight barely pops up. Plus if you have an infighter style you are certified screwed.
So to counteract the telegraphed punches play like your using chronos or any counter style making it far harder for opponents to know when and since high dmg you take out there block
I play Hitman because of the bad dodge, tbh. It’s a new way to play compared to my usual method of ramming my head in. And I use the range to catch those trying to run away from me instead of being the one backdashing.
Youre so right. Last night in ranked I was fighting a hitman and a chronos next and all they did was spam their m1s, dash back and repeat and since hawk isnt that fast I would keep losing my mode as they kept running.

I tried this against a beginner-ish Hitman with ghost I almost lost but I got lucky with a block break and hit an ult

I feel like it depends on your ping as well to fully utilise how broken the thing is. Still painfully damaging even with bad ping.
As a hitman user I confirm it is quite boring to be too powerful although I hate chronos users
finally my time to shine, hitman is to trap players behind block, start match by getting 3 m1s then walking back and quickly attacking, some players drop their block some hold it. we really want them to not block but it's whatever. at some point the player will catch on and just hold block. this is were we walk backwards to hitman's max range and do the same thing. this causes player's to do some form of dash. if you wait you'll be able to hit them after the dodge.
then it's all up to the hitman to keep focused and keep them trapped. you can't predit and hitman if the hitman isn't thinking taka can do this same thing and it's really op because who cares if they block or not. i know a few bugs, like dodging in combos whille blocking, emote walking whille blocking. emoteing to not get pulled away in a knockdown

I’ve really seen these “hitman is broken” little kiddy comments on this video and it is much expected of jwordz viewers most of them are little kids who don’t actually try to get better and play the game effectively, but in my opinion and experience hitman is really just a matchup check. It takes a lot of patience and skill to outsmart one, but when you do? It’s insanely satisfying

Hitman has a unique ability called “Flicker mode”,what flicker mode does is that u will be ready to use your flicker stance and flicker jabs. The flicker jabs is gonna deal MASSIVE AMOUNT of damage. The downsides of this mode is that you cant use your m2 and you will be stayed as aggresive and can’t backdash.
Ultimate : Like a Grim Reaper ( The ultimate changes when u use the flicker mode)
Stats of this hitman rework : Good block and damage but decent block.

Hitman is probably the least skilled, or the most op style in ubg and meeting a somewhat good hitman is death. And what can u do abt it? U can’t do shit. If you try and perfect dodge, the hitman can just wait for u to fumble a dodge and unleash a flicker combo, and if ur attack fails to land? Well same thing. I feel like ubg gotta make some styles a little more skilled, cuz it’s clearly unbalanced and you can easily pick out the brain dead styles.
Hitman might be the strongest and best style in the game. Honestly, I love it and hope it doesn't get nerfed.

@@dontrowtheboat1811 Actually yeah we do. It doesnt work all the time, but you can stay at almost zero stamina and attack again in order to bait a counter or just hit them. You can do it by not going backwards and waiting for your stamina to regen a lil bit and attack again, normally people would expect you to back away when low on stamina so they wont see it coming.
I'm a hitman main, but here's the thing, I go aggressive at the start and then outbox them for a little bit to confuse them and then I go straight back to being aggressive

Make hitman have 2 modes. First mode is like basic. Second mode is hitman. Activated by a meter (only needs 5 M2 and it must land. Can't use m1 to fill) the hitman mode will de activate if you take 5-10 hit.
Edit: make the m2 slower in the basic mode. So it's harder to get into hitman mode
Edit2:also the damage in the basic form is reduced. So without hitman mode you still can defeat the opponent. But in the hitman mode it's faster n better

one flaw of the hitman is the m1 just comes out in the same direction so its quite easy to dodge but they could just spam you with feints which is annoying.
What I learned about fighting hitman is always dodge first, if your using a style with bad dashes your done for, you won't even be able to land an m1, if your fighting someone that's inexperienced with hitman when hitman whiffs dodge towards his punches to close the distance, you ain't getting anywhere being out of range, atleast he's in your range, if you think your gonna get countered dodge, if you don't think your in range dodge, if you think he's gonna throw an m1 dodge, and always dodge to the left, except of course if he's throwing an m2 which you gotta watch out for, since there's a huge difference in hitman's m1 speed and m2 speed, if this isn't obvious enough I would recommend using a style with good dashes like freedom, Chronos and handslow, even smash or ippo would do just fine as long as you can double dash cus your gonna need that.
Hitman should do more m1 but less dmg and cannot break block due to putting no power in the arm thats a real flicker jabs

thats why I think it get a rework like this:
hitman flicker jab only comes out when at the end of their arm swing or maybe have a meter to show when to m1 and depending on which side hitman arm is at and you input your m1 the flicker jab comes out of that side, this works because it can confuse your enemy and keep them on edge when they see your arm at the end of their swing and if you miss time the flicker jab you get a normal jab, a jab that has no range, average dmg, and average speed.
- this way it can be confusing like the real hitman
- it won't be braindead
- would be a fun style as it encourages good timing
So what im gathering from this is that it works like a metronome? Like a bar with a line that goes left and right and depending on where the line is determines the direction your jab comes from?
That's actually quite creative and accurate lorewise, though it would need some tinkering with the numbers so it wouldn't just be a copy-paste/better bullet jab or ghost jab. Someone here also said its damage should be lower the closer you are to the enemy so it really leans more to the outboxer playstyle. I also really like that idea but again the numbers would need some testing which can make or break the style into having a higher skill floor or ceiling without overshadowing the rest of the styles as to keep it balanced like the game description intends.

Jwordz I have a suggestion to make. It is how you can land Bullet m1's special like when the opponent m1 aswell and bullet m1 comes first (you get what I mean) and also can we appreciat bullet staggering is so op?
A good suggestion for hitman would be , whenever its in close range m1 and m2 combo will do 1/5 of counter's base damage. So you'll have to force yourself to be in a big distance. Meaning hitman will be 100% useless in close range.
Not only this will make it more realistic but it'll also nerf hitman alot as well

Honestly hitman is too easy to read. Left Dash to dodge his m2 and Right dash to dodge his m1 But you have to know that when he's gonna attack. Depends on how skilled you are.

Hitman is like ghost jab expect 2 differences Hitman doesn’t a cooldown and it has a highlight yes it’s very readable (with a highlight) but due to its speed like ghost jab it’s almost impossible to perfect dodge as a person who has fought a pro-ish Hitman with ghost I rage quitted and wanted to quit the game so bad

You have a point about it’s broken attack and good block but hitman still has its downsides,especially its stamina when dashing and can’t do as many m1s as other styles. At the time hitman released, there was no direction PD so the only way drowning can make it hard to dodge was to make it really fast.
Now that we have direction PD I suggest take away the speed make the damage just normal
But make the m1 have very weird direction cycle.
Like left-left-right-left-right (all thrown with left hand to better conceal the cycle)
Makes challenging the style easier and easier to avoid a hit
(you can still back dash if your m1 is dodged normally)

Even after that perfect dodging hitman m1 is so difficult. The highlight barely pops up. Plus if you have an infighter style you are certified screwed.

I play Hitman because of the bad dodge, tbh.
It’s a new way to play compared to my usual method of ramming my head in. And I use the range to catch those trying to run away from me instead of being the one backdashing.
Youre so right. Last night in ranked I was fighting a hitman and a chronos next and all they did was spam their m1s, dash back and repeat and since hawk isnt that fast I would keep losing my mode as they kept running.
