Fantom is technically an all-in-one.
This is really nice for both keyboardists who want to create the majority of their productions outside of the computer *and* for I-T-B producers. I'm glad they have added features to help on both sides. This is way better than my old Fantom-S...this tech was just not available back then. I still prefer grabbing the trusty Akai FORCE/MPC, some synths & samples...and going to town. That being said, I'm really considering adding the Jupiter Xm to my squad. I'd like to see a video on that!
I like the improvements on the big touch screen and workstation stability of recording....

How many knobs buttons and sliders can send cc to an external gear, and can this change per part?...
Im a Roland Fantom user and tried it all from the first Fantom Fa 76, fantom X, fantom G, FA 06 and 08.. also an integra 7 user. All i can say about this new fantom, its great if you use it integrated with computer/VST.. Also the new controls makes it better.. but i still need to try it in person before deciding getting it which is i always do before buying a new synth.. in terms of sounds, theres really nothing new on sounds coz the sounds ive heard on this demo can be produced by any other synths/modules if you are only giving time on how to edit your ADSR( Advance delay sustain and release).. Lastly im still interested with this new synth. The outputs and new computer connections are great to have. The touch screen is not amZing coz we know this is old technology, even the korg trinity from the 90s has that touch screen already. Thanks Roland. i dont know if does it have a smooth transition? Hope it does coz you are too late.

I have been playing guitar most of my life. I love guitar.
I just got the new Eric Johnson thin line and the Paul Gilbert PGM 333. I dig em.
But, I started taking jazz piano classes and found that I love the piano. Way more than I do guitar.
I feel as if I can express my feelings more with a piano.
Then, I got an email showing these new pianos.
I never thought about a workstation before. I am just using an 88 key digital piano. With a few sounds, but nothing fancy. That is why I liked it and picked it out.
But, after seeing this thing, man, I must have it.
I like the fact that it has so many different sounds and can do so many things.
My favorite artists are Clapton, Eagles, Taylor and Young. So, haha, none of them do odd stuff with piano. But, I also dig the stuff from the 80s. The weird stuff that came from the UK. I feel as if I could make some cool, 80s style stuff with this thing.
I also have Logic Pro. Which, has a bunch of sounds in it.
The thing is expensive. So, I will probably have to wait until the middle of next year to get it. But, haha, it's hard to not just go buy the thing.
I was looking up top keyboards like this. I say that this version was on none of the lists. But, I don't follow trends. haha I did when I was a teen. But, someone killed me in 03, when I was 18. After waking from a coma, man, my life is so free. So, this is the one I will choose to get.
I have a feeling that I will be so hooked to this thing.
I am so freaking excited about next year. I get this piano and I get to see Eric Johnson live. Yes, 2020 will be a fantastic year.

Roland fantom, I didn't know I wanted it before I saw it.
But, to be honest I hope they are going to release some sounds patch to add to this keyboard.
I like the synth sounds, but I think that with such an engine you need versatility in the sounds.
It got a mic and xlr/Jack input, so voice and guitar/bass to add. A bit like a evolution of the loopstation or to add a loopstation.
None the less, great job roland.

No.
Too bad to see lots of cables when using the digital Boutique unit. Roland should manage power, midi, and audio with just only an usb cable like on the MX-1 mixer but 3X here in their flagship synth. Any other thing less is a missed opportunity.
Friendly Noise yes this is what we would like to know. How is the boutique integration. They should be able to implement this or is there any setting which we don’t know? USB vendor or generic setting both doesn’t seem to transport both audio and midi.
Nice video! Japanese engineering is always solid. Only thing I noticed is the v-synth style xy controller modulation sounds very mild, not deep like on the v-synth
The analog sounds are good the others i dont know......It seems to be a mix of jupitor 8 and the tradicional fantom with some mores extras...I would like to hear the electric pianos pads strings fm pianos where roland is not very good...

Is this truly a synthesizer or just a keyboard?
All in one, and the synth section is crazy good. Fantastic analog filter section too! I own the Fantom 6 and it's a beast!
I like some of the pads, the rest I've heard in other synths. Just give us a module without the sequencing and cost of keyboard and this would appeal to a wider audience.

I would like a video aimed at live players on stage who don’t have to spend 2 hours connecting it all up and 2 hours taking it down then you get home at 4am!

Regarding music in general… Fast doesn’t necessarily mean good.
For that amount of $$$ and a crappy clip sampler...."FAIL" And i was looking forward to the New Fantom...it wont even recognise GM/SVQ files..."BIGGER FAIL"...All the UA-cam clips say ...Dont Look There....look over here at all these knobs!!!! This is coming from a Fantom X and G owner....big, BIG let down
Which do you recommend, X or G, as a used 61 key purchase? G has a bigger screen. Not sure which is easier to use. Also considering Fa-06 or this new fantom 6. Basically I want something that is super easy to sequence without a computer involved, and ideally could also sequence outside devices. Fa-06 gets me supernatural sounds I guess? But screen is smaller than G. Also g has audio tracks which is cool. Although I can use the tascam dp-32 for audio tracks synced up also via midi.
What is the "advance" part of this demo? Jeez these titles...
