You are awesome, thank you. I was struggling with this, I paid 2K USD to understand for private classes as well but my score did not improve. I bumped into this free tutorial and my whole idea and way of thinking changed and I could solve to get 160 in EA.
Hello sir. I'm from Bangladesh. I'm a student of class 12. I'm preparing for the BBA admission test in IBA, DU, Bangladesh. So, I have data sufficiency there and I have to finish data sufficiency and Critical reasoning of GMAT. Your video tutorial is fantastic and so perfect for me to understand easily and efficiently. You use easy English, so I can understand your teaching quickly. Thanks for making this type of video. This playlist and your channel will help me a lot to learn. Keep it up. And yeah, you look a little bit like my late father.

i have something to say- if Statement one does not have a unique solution, it isn't independently sufficient so can't we eliminate C as well along with A and D because it specifically says that " both statements are together sufficient and not suffiecient independantly?" We can right? Its just a doubt coz u didn't eliminate the C option at first.
Option C means Information in I and II together give an answer. However, neither statement alone can give you an answer. When we determine that statement I is not sufficient, we still do not know whether the statements together can answer the question. Let us look at an example What is the value of x? 1. 3x + 4y = 7 2. 5x + 6y = 11 Statement 1 alone is not sufficient. So, eliminate A and D. And only those two. Statement 2 alone is also not sufficient. So, eliminate B. Now, when we combine the statements - we have two equations and two variables such that a1/a2 != b1/b2. So, we will get a unique value for x. So, statements together answered our question. That scenario is choice C. Hope this clarifies your doubt. If not, please do not hesitate to post a reply here.
Great video as always sir, I always find problem solving much more difficult than data sufficiency and am not really able to catch where the gap exists, is it just about practice?
Many thanks for your feedback Bhavna! Yes practice is the key. Unlike DS questions where you're given statements to evaluate, the PS questions requires you to solve the problem fully and arrive at the answer. This skill will definitely come with lot of practice. Cheers and best wishes!
Multiplying the first equation by 7 will make the coefficient of y in that equation 28. Multiplying the second equation by 4 will make the coefficient of y in that equation also 28. If we subtract one equation from the other, we will eliminate the unknown 'y'. Simplify the resulting equation to find the value of x Essentially the elimination method of solving two linear equations in 2 variables has been used. Please get back to us if you require further clarifications

@@Wizako Thank you, very kind of you to reply on a query on such an old video of yours. :)
Sir Can we take ourselves 7and4 (24:12). There's any rule for this?
Hi,
Yes, you can do it. You're basically just multiplying each equation by a constant 'k' (here 7 and 4)
Cheers!
Amazing
Thanks for your feedback
I don’t understand how you got the 7 and the 4 to combine the xy formula for question 3
Multiplying the first equation by 7 will make the coefficient of y in that equation 28.
Multiplying the second equation by 4 will make the coefficient of y in that equation also 28.
If we subtract one equation from the other, we will eliminate the unknown 'y'. Simplify the resulting equation to find the value of x
