hi, thankyou for this video . i have one concern if you can please clarify . when you are cutting the tint are we cutting a bit extra on sides and bottom or no ?
Whats up Yes You should be fine with 35% it's still on the lighter side. Most semi trucks I've done in 35% they never came back or called me saying they got a ticket. And yes just roll them before you get to the scale just in case. Every state is different
I've done alot of semi trucks in the lightest shade of 50% and I never had anyone come back with issues. As far as Texas I'm not sure to be honest. Mention it to any tint shop closer to you about dot and they should be able to help you better Also Look into 50% or even 70% but in ceramic tint. Ceramic is the higher grade tint with the better heat rejection
Local const company mr.excavator has a fleet of semis and trucks with limo tint all the way around. Looks badass, but I always wonder did they get stopped ??
@@bobocaterpillar3697 unfortunately all semi trucks can not have window tint darker then 70%. That is a Fmcsa rule, but when you go to the chicken coop, you roll down your windows..or at least thats what I do, got 15% on both of my KW's.
Yes I did struggle trying to tuck the tint but the gasket was tight and made it harder. I explain to the costumer beforehand that I would get as close as I could with little light gap
Lol Not legal actually. When they go through scales sometimes they get ask to remove the 2 fronts. But 35 is on the clear side and drivers sometimes don't get ask to remove

Yes I cut extra on sides and bottom. Depending on the gasket or if the window shitf but usually like 1/4 to 1/2 inch
@@blackoutkustomz5503 Thankyou for your help. Imma try doing one and will come back 2 you how it went:)

Hi, if I run interstate, would it be okay to have my side doors windows tint to be at 35% tint, if i roll windows down at the scale?

I’m a little concerned on putting window tint on my daycab if I put the minimum porcentaje will dot give me a violation? Thanks I stay in Texas

Great man so it’s basically like tinting a Ford F-150 or 250 lol sides windows
Yes exactly the same
@@blackoutkustomz5503 is a 24 inch roll large enough?
@@frankramirez2206 I don't think a 24in would work. I used a 36in roll. I believe it was a 25 or 26in window
35 percent is legal tint for semi trucks across the country

You can do 70% ceramic tint including windshield and no one will notice. Plus you block 99% UV.
Not in North Dakota
What tint brand did you use? Where can you buy it?
I used ceramic for better heat rejection. The brand is ztoa ceramic from solarfree.
@@blackoutkustomz5503 thx
Hello 👋
What is that liquid do you use???
I’m planning to tint my Volvo vnl860 🤩
The slip solution Is baby shampoo and water
@@blackoutkustomz5503 TY 👍
Hmm you left light gaps on the top of the back window.....
Yes I did struggle trying to tuck the tint but the gasket was tight and made it harder. I explain to the costumer beforehand that I would get as close as I could with little light gap
No heat shrink on these?
@DetailerLifestyle for the most part no. Most semi trucks are flat windows, no heat needed
What’s with the gaps ontop of the rear window ?
He came back later and I covered it with small bead of urethane
Where are you guys located?

Is 35% pushing it on a day cab with a 5% back window
Not really pushing it. 35 is on the lighter side you should be fine. All the semis I've done in 35% people have never come back with a ticket.
So what percent is that on the doors
@Victor Contreras it's 35%
35 is my favorite percentage - it’s everywhere on my car including windshield and I’ve never been in trouble.
How much percent tint is this?
This is 35%
Buen video/ great video bro , outstanding job.
