You never mentioned anything about an "ICONIC MISTAKE." The neighbors were Al and Marcy? Idiotic. You failed to mention two main supporting characters, Marcy's first and second husbands -Steve Rhodes and Jefferson D'Arcy. You provided incorrect information about the show's theme song. You said it was recorded in 1955 and never released until it was used for the show. It was written by Sammy Cahn (lyrics) and Jimmy Van Heusen (music), arranged by Nelson Riddle, and performed by Frank Sinatra. Originally written in 1955 for a televised production of Our Town, a play written by Thorton Wilder that starring Sinatra, it would later be recorded twice for two different record labels with minor differences: Capitol Records version - The first version recorded and used for Married...With Children. Recorded on August 15, 1955, and used on the "This is Sinatra!" album, its features include Opening lyrics: "Love and marriage. Love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage." A crescendoing instrumental bridge (which was later played over the closing credits of Married... with Children.) The ending of the Capitol version is an instrumental version Reprise Records version. The second version was recorded on October 11, 1965, for the album "A Man and His Music." Bud's rap career was not a highlight of the show but a minor side story about one of the character's interests. Have you ever actually watched the show? Do you pre-screen these videos before you post them so that you can edit your errors? Do some research, and check your facts before you post these bone-headed videos. Your lack of credibility speaks volumes.
Well done. There was also a section where they talked about several of the main characters being "guest stars". I have no idea what they were trying to say.
I loved Married With Children! I remember the episode when Kelly came home from school and said, "Mom, I'm a lesbian!" After some explanation Peggy corrected her that she was a thespian, not a lesbian. Kelly was as dense as she was pretty. Sometimes Bud was the only one that made sense and acted normal, whatever normal was for that family.
Al Bundy when Peg came home with a wish-granting statue named Tubro and said Tubro was the new man of the house: "Peg, Tubro can never be the man of this house. Statues can't cry".
I feel like the entire video is full of intentional mistakes as either some hilarious trolling or to see how many catch the mistakes considering the name of the video.
Am I going insane or did he say that Ed O’Neill and Katey Sagal guest starred in 2 episodes of this show… which they both starred in for all 11 seasons?
My God! Enunciate your words! Draw some AIR into your lungs! Are you laying on the couch doing this? You have some fair info in this vid but your words are slobbered all over my iPad.
I shipped a motorcycle to Capetown, RSA in 1993. When I got there, to ride to Germany, I discovered that Married with Children was their favorite tv show. This show obviously enjoyed international success.
"Al Bundy" was so iconic because he represented the "Common Man".....He worked according to the character as a women's shoe salesman with 2 kids & a wife. Which represents the average American family. Add comedy into the direction & you'll have one funny successful show & still to this day. This show isn't so much popular anymore especially with today's "Reality TV Generation" but Gen Xers like myself.....was around to watch this air on Fox & it's very iconic & we enjoyed the seasons....... 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
One factoid they never mentioned: Originally the show was going to feature Sam Kinison and Rosanne Barr. While those two would defiantly have had interesting chemistry, the producers decided it would be too intense for what they wanted.
Ed O’Neil had no problem with Amanda being lesbian it was the fact that she became more butch in looks and had a more bossy attitude as the years went by which change the character of Marcie completely. That’s what Ed had a problem with her. and I hate to tell you, but there was more than one spinoff of the show like top of the heap and vinnie and Bobby.
I never noticed, but back then i didn't watch the show to see what the house numbers was🤣 Just speaking some facts, with Christina Applegate & her legs in the show, house numbers is the last thing guys my age back then was looking for! 😆
It was 9764 at one point, I dont know what other numbers there were. Like the other guy said, the only number I was paying attention to was 10, which is what Kelly was one of. 🤩
Divine was to play the creepy uncle and was excited about the prime-time tv sitcom. Divine Also was thrilled to be playing a male role as uncle Otto with on the second season. Weeks after the release of Hairspray. Though sadly Divine died in his sleep in his hotel room after the first day of rehearsal.
The reason it was such a success was it was close to a reality family life,,I grew up in the 60s early 70s the Leave it to Beaver Brady Bunch family was fiction.!!!
Woke prequels, sequels, remakes, and spinoffs have caused a lot of damage. I most likely will be placed into a despised genre and actual talented prequels, sequels , remakes, and spinoffs will be created of such shows like this.
Regarding that last point…any variation of the show shown today, whether a spinoff, reboot, etc, would not be the same. For one thing I dont think it would have the same appeal with the actors and thus characters being 20+ years older. It would have to be recast. But I bet many fans would hate that. Only the original stars could play those roles as they were. For example, could you see anyone else but O’Neill playing Al? I rest my case. And the second reason is the writing of the show back then would be too raunchy and un-PC for our times today. You think it was controversial in the 80s? Half the country today would be in an uproar and calling for the producers heads! Its simply not possible. Society and the world has changed. Leave the bad jokes and insults in the past where they belong for the right people to enjoy in reruns.

Well done Robb! It's awesome to see someone call these people out for the idiots they are!
And don't get me started on the use of possessives.
Well deserved criticism.
Well done. There was also a section where they talked about several of the main characters being "guest stars". I have no idea what they were trying to say.
Yeah! And what about Teri Weigel?? Her picture is on the video but she isn't in the video you made...
Fuk you a$$hole!
Why can't they show the bloopers!!??? Without the ongoing commentary!!

What was the iconic mistake on Married With Children? People never noticed.
BAIT AND HOOK
Maybe that a store shoe salesman could make enough money to own a home, a car and raise a family.
I guess the iconic mistake is constantly referring to Ed as the late Ed O'Neil. He's very much alive.
I feel like the entire video is full of intentional mistakes as either some hilarious trolling or to see how many catch the mistakes considering the name of the video.
Best sitcom in history!!!
Thanks for the revue.
This UA-cam video is the Iconic Mistake!
Did you say the neighbors were "Al and Marcy"?
It's Steve Steve and Marcy
And then it was Jefferson and Marcy
...
Am I going insane or did he say that Ed O’Neill and Katey Sagal guest starred in 2 episodes of this show… which they both starred in for all 11 seasons?
The iconic mistake is that you forgot to include one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Edgar Prothero it was clickbait , but unfortunately it wasn't stupid. I just wasted my time watching this. I already knew all this
It was "the picture" that got my attention. Naughty
@Edgar Prothero emphasis on “stupid”!

I shipped a motorcycle to Capetown, RSA in 1993. When I got there, to ride to Germany, I discovered that Married with Children was their favorite tv show. This show obviously enjoyed international success.
It was also one of favorites shows in Poland in second half of 1990's
Yes, "Married with children' was iconic in Poland too
Would love to see a break down of costs . Other than the cast and crew being paid handsomely I don't know how it could cost as much as claimed.

I would have loved to see Sam as Al though I did enjoy him as the guardian angel
Where was the "iconic mistake?"
Never said anything about guest actors and actresses, ZERO !!!!!
Except that Ed O'Neill and Katey Sagal were guests on the show. WTF! LoL What a waste of time watching this.
I was a shoe salesman at the same time, I was not quite as rude to customers as Al. It was my favourite show and my father in law called me Al Bundy!
Ed O’Neil had no problem with Amanda being lesbian it was the fact that she became more butch in looks and had a more bossy attitude as the years went by which change the character of Marcie completely. Excellent. Thank you
You forgot "unhappily ever after" with red head babe Nikki Cox"
The only iconic mistake was that there was never a MWC THE MOTION PICTURE.
Own the complete series on dvd. Best 25$ ever spent. Actually watching now. Again. On season 2 currently.
Wheres the "iconic mistakes"...??
Clickbait!
Nice video, loved the show. BUT .... the video title clearly says "iconic mistake" but doesn't show or say anything about an "iconic mistake."
How many times can one episode use the word “iconic?”
Very well spoken and informative video...THANKS!!!
Music is too loud and distracting. It would be much better with narration only.
Let's face it, Al Bundy was a success in his actions because he just naturally acted like any man would in that family situation.
He said that he based the character on his uncle, Joe O'Neil.
undermining the family was the goal not money ,
Loved this Sitcom the Best
Great show. Laugh out loud situations.
Love how they say "Honor" to get a 🌟..Actors PAY to get a 🌟, that's why Clint Eastwood don't have one..He said he refuses to waste the $$$...
I'm glad I read Hillers comment.
How many of you have noticed that the Bundy's house number changes over the seasons ? Also later seasons the Darcy's house number changes too.
I never noticed, but back then i didn't watch the show to see what the house numbers was🤣

And 9674
@@scottgould6590 there's no number that could do Christina Applegates beauty justice.
I liked Katey Sagal as Gemma Morrow better than as Peg Bundy.
She was perfect as Gemma. Total badass!!!
Ed O'Neal and Katy Segal did guest appearances on the show? "Are dumb stupid or dumb?" They were the stars of the show. Lmfaoshidmt 🌮 🌮 🌮
The iconic mistake was 2000+ people actually liked this terrible clip.
What's the name of the actress in the blue dress? She was very pretty.
Actors have to pay for that star on hollywood blvd. Something on the order of $50k.
I must have been asleep IF it was on over the pond. Never heard of it.
Kelly twerking in the early 90s

Why do you talk about divine as a noun. It's an adjective
@@Some_One_One try searching " Hairspray Divine"
Grand master B.😆😆😆
It was titled "no m'am" not "nmam"
Irony is not coincidence. Ed O'Neil was in two episodes of the show is started in???
The reason it was such a success was it was close to a reality family life,,I grew up in the 60s early 70s the Leave it to Beaver Brady Bunch family was fiction.!!!
What was the mistake?
Community guidelines
The stars of the show are also guest stars?
I remembered them each playing dual roles in different episodes... That's the only way I can explain it...
Steve & Marcy and then Jefferson (@5:11)
Married with children started in 1987 that was the year when I first saw it and ended in 1997.
This was a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.
Married with children, push the envelope on sexuality it male homosexual references in a positive light And made fun of the male female relationship
Interesting video
Where's this Iconic Mistake? Go get extinct...
…by the time he gets to the point…I don’t give a sht or wanna know
7:44 makes no sense
7:34 Ed and Katie Segal appeared in some episodes? Another poster to avoid.
