Story 3 right away when he said the burning meat and Grandma went on to the floor I knew where this was going... that would suck to do that to your grandma and to find everything out that way

I was in Casa by the Sea, from 98 to 01, I'm 40 now and 28 months there wasn't easy to put it lightly. I got threatened to be sent to Jamiaca, cause I sent the first year level one with 0 points staring at a wall with my hands on my head or lying on my chin, really I don't try to explain how bad it was cause it's hard to relate unless you've been there
These places are so terrible, including the ones state side, so I can’t imagine the next level horror of those in these countries. I hope at some point you can find peace with it, though it’s understandable if you don’t. Share your story as much as you can, if you ever become comfortable, so ppl will know the truth and call out these terrible places. Kids are literally dying so often in these horror camps & it’s being covered up. Maybe sharing and saving someone else could help. I’m glad you made it out. Really glad. ❤️🩹
@@kgk3393can’t even imagine. Like I told the OP, if you ever feel comfortable, share or story. Maybe saving someone else from the horrors of these hell camps by sharing the truth could help you heal. Either way, I’m so glad you made it out. I really am.

Way more light really needs to be shed on the horror of these hell camps like tranquility bay. The stats on kids literally dying in these places, even the ones in the US, are shocking. But these deaths are being covered up and they continue operating, which is worse bc these kids not only lost their lives, but lost them in vain. They’re literally abusing and killing these kids and for what? The camps are proven ineffective. For anyone who has been at one, if you’re ever comfortable and ready to share, people are listening. We can get these places shut down if ppl just pay attention to the horror stories of the participants, but until we do, I’m grateful for every person who survived and made it out. So very grateful.
I had a buddy go to one of those military programs in Jamaica. He's extremely incoherent and can't form consistent thoughts. He was sent because of bad grades. Lazy parenting is extremely dangerous in the long run.
I’ve been sick so I’ve been binging all your old videos lately! Joel, you could read a phone book and I’d listen! Thank you for all your hard work pumping out content for us!
I was in a program called Carolina springs academy I personally knew a couple guys who were transferred from tranquility bay Steve orozco and Bryant Sutherland and this little guy named Jesse they had horrific stories about that place I’ll reach out and see if they would allow me to tell one of the stories I was told
The story of Mikes mom being stabbed to death is eerily similar to what happened to my close friend Mikes mom when we was in junior high. Except for it wasn’t his sisters bf but his mothers! It was horrible my friend and his sister were devastated! That story gave me chills!
Story 1 sounded real to me until he got to the part about the cost of the rehab. He's saying a 6 month stint in an American-run behavioral rehab in Jamaica cost his parents 20K, I don't buy that. It's just way too inexpensive. Unless it was a completely inept facility with untrained workers and no M.D. on site. I was sent to a rehab facility in a mid-west city in the U.S. and the cost was 20K for one month. I always felt awful afterwards about my parents having to pay that much. Either way, 20K for months and then 15K for the next 6 months sounds extremely underpriced. But I absolutely believe there are facilities out there that are just as harsh as he described.
That first story almost reminded me of a book I had to read 12 years ago for 7th grade English class, Touching Spirit Bear where the narrator gets sent off the grid.
What parent would do this to there child it's abuse and is disgusting and deplorable that's why the program was not in America they can get away with the abuse
Story 3 with the grandma really shook me. I guess my history knowledge or memory is spotty as the place she escaped didn't ring any bells for me, maybe I tuned out the unfamiliar word. Though, I was gripped, and already horrified by the statement of "smell of burning bodies" giving that woman a ptsd flashback from ww2, but I didn't consider who she was within the war. Maybe it's how privlige lives on after wars end. Regardless, I just thought, christ, war is hellish. But then op said "I didn't even know I was jewish" and it finally connected the dots in a horrible moment of realization. War is a nightmare.
I spent most of my childhood at my two best house and I still could not give you the address for it. When you don't write down the address of a house regularly it's easy to forget it. In fact it took me months to properly remember my address after i moved. I know how to get here, so clearly I'm not going to keep the number stuck in my head unless I need to write it down.
Absolutely. Much of the time we remember the street name and then just remember it's the house on the corner, or the one with a garage, or the yellow one, or whatever. And sometimes we don't even remember the street name. We turn on the road before or after a particular business or the first road after a certain curve.
In regards to last story, pretending to like somebody to be "nice " is far more cruel than just outright rejecting someone im the first place. Kind of a cowardly thing to do. Not excusing stalker behavior, just saying be honest with people
Story 5...I'm still stuck on *a cop* messaged this girl on *Facebook* to tell her she was on Ashley Madison??? Is this normal? I guess if they only had the social media and no way to get a hold of her by traditional means... Still, a cop messaging on Facebook seems so weird, I definitely thought it was going to be the creepy effer again
